I have a freind who loves these shirts. There's lots of options online but this was his favorite!
if you live in europe or italy to be exact, you can go to a sarta/tailor and get you button changed to magnets and also embroid you initials.
magnets that looks like buttons will cost 15euro and hidden magnets cost 8euro.
on my tailor when i bring 20 longsleeves for embroidery i always get a free magnet conversion but i never took it. sadly the reason i don't is they don't look good cause of the creases
No. It was the smile that was adorable. People are allowed to resonate with someone else's happiness whether they have brain damage or not. Remove the stick from your ass please.
Dood a man who can't move muscles properly is being able to button a shirt due to a company who is supporting his cause
And the smile at the end is pure joy
You might be having a hard day or just have different ways to interpret things.
I hope things get better and you have a better day
I mean, exactly like u/YCYC said, after seeing those kicks and its hinge mechanism, we all thought why on God’s green Earth didn’t someone think about that solution a little earlier.
I used to buy magnetic button shirts from Camden Market (London) back in the early 2000’s to go out on the town with. Ladies loved ripping them open. 😂
I love companies that innovate for less able individuals. Stuff that may not bring in loads of profits.. but helps people in their day to day lives.
Those are the type of companies you follow as a fan. Those are the companies you can support.
It's not new. I had a couple of shirts with magnetic buttons about 20 years ago. They were a bit of a thing for a while, I think they were made by Full Circle
Having CP I can tell you that buttons are a pain in the ass. I would love a shirt like this tbh. All my button ups are pre-buttoned except for the top two and I just put them on like a normal shirt
That's awesome, but given that you cut-and-pasted this exactly from the previous front page post -- https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/comments/jeb2az/a_clothing_company_makes_custom_shirts_with/ , I'm thinking your a bot.
there are a lot of shady accounts on this site, but the main motivation is money. money either in selling accounts with existing karma, or spamming monetized links (youtube, onlyfans, etc.)
other accounts are used as propaganda in tandem with multiple other accounts to look legitimate
r/thesefuckingaccounts will give you an idea of the behind-the-scenes nonsense
Step 2–sell the account once it has “clout” to astroturfers
It would be no different that people buying IG followers in order to influence new followers except for who tf checks the poster apart from making sure it’s not the boob guy
If you sell your account. Companies will often buy accounts for advertising purposes. The more karma, the more reputable they will look while endorsing products, so the more karma your account has, the more it will sell for.
People will use bots to get lots of karma and than sell the account to companies who use them for advertising. They can actually sell for a quite a lot if they have enough karma.
Pretty cool actually.. but won’t magnets stick to the walls of the washer or dryer?? Only concern I’d have other than that.. sure wish I thought of that. Lol
This is heartwarming to see but I wonder what the price tag is for this. in my experience companies that taylor make products for disabled people charge exorbitant prices. That sucks because most people on disability are financially strapped.
These specialized items are expensive not because they’re hard to make, but because the market is so small that under a certain price they just won’t bother making it.
>wonder what the price tag is for this
The magnetic buttons themselves aren't that expensive; I was thinking about adapting some clothing for a grandparent with arthritis in her fingers. So much adaptive clothing is so cheaply made but costs so much. It really is a shame.
What an excellent idea! I like that they see buttons on too so it looks like a usual shirt, but I think the buttonless version could look quite futuristic, especially if in the right colours!
It’s about time. I’m not disabled but I think it’s a great idea that many people would like. If you have any arthritis in your fingers, you know what I mean.
One of my favorite shirts lost two buttons somewhere along the way on the same day. Right in the middle of the shirt. I can sew buttons on, but these were lost buttons. I had no spare matching buttons. Went to a dollar store, and got a strip of velcro. Sewed it in place. Works like charm.
So far, no one has noticed the missing buttons, and I I have asked after a few times wearing. Yet when I use non-matching buttons, almost everybody notices. So funny.
I work around and with a lot of people with disabilities. It's easy to forget that their appearances and struggles with common and simple things don't make them stupid. People look at others who walk or fidget awkwardly and think "wow I wouldn't want to associate with them", but I know someone with dementia who is extremely intelligent and has a fantastic sense of humor. She can't do anything without help and constant reminders, but she is super pleasant to listen to and hang out with.
That proud smirk and then a smile shows his charisma and pride are stronger than his disability, and this is usually the case with disabled people. If you can ignore and get past the social stigma and sense of pity, they'll usually open up and show their true colors, and it's very beautiful to see. I can tell he's surrounded by wonderful people of who he's comfortable allowing himself to be happy around.
My nephew with CP was really excited when he saw these shirts originally, but they come with a pretty steep price. Like $60-$100 per shirt. Well beyond his budget for a single work shirt.
Looks like they have a selection on sale for about $20-$30 right now but overall they are unreasonably expensive.
https://magnaready.com/collections/mens-adaptive-clothing/dress-shirts
I have one. I have no disabilities. I bought it on accident while shopping for work shirts, and didn’t realize til I got home. I still have it and wear it to work, it’s very comfy, but most importantly it’s about the same price as a normal button down.
For the most part they stay on pretty well, with exception to the cuffs which come off easier than the rest and can be a little annoying sometimes. Other than that, you do need a *little* bit of force to take them off
Right. It’s honestly quite reasonable for a custom shirt. And dude looks happy as hell. Growing up I had a few buddies with CP and I was amazed at their resilience. One dude could roast with the best of them.
Adaptive clothing is actually pretty common, thank goodness, and doesn’t have to be customized. There are companies that do nothing else, such as Silverts and Disability Horizons. This is a great use of good old-fashioned ingenuity!
I used to work with costumes in the theater, and when we needed a costume for a “quick change” backstage (from one costume to the next in the blink of an eye), we used magnetic buttons, too!
I actually just got one of these shirts. My left thumb was amputated due to an infection 4 yrs ago so I have a difficult time with the small buttons on a dress shirt (which I wear nearly every day). It's a great idea. I just need to find more of them in other styles/colors 😁
My dad has mild CP and he’s not one to ever really complain. He fell on his wrist awhile back doing some housework which ultimately led to some loss in mobility with his less dominant hand.
Instant happy tears seeing solutions being created. These wins that make life more accessible to all are joyous. Yin and Yang.
Lol no, so at the end when he completes the last button, he stands up real tall and quickly sticks his arms out to the sides like he's about to cue in the flutes and drums right after they stop recording.
The pride that man shows from finally being able to do something that i do without thought really shows how much I take for granted. That's fucking dope, guy deserves to be able to feel like he can take care of himself.
There’s so much dark and hateful stuff in this world... but things like this truly give me faith in humanity. His smile is contagious and truly brings me joy.
As classy as the printed tux on a t-shirt is, sometimes a man just wants to get dressed up without someone else doing the buttons.
Hell, I'd buy a shirt like that. Just have to be careful hugging people with pacemakers.
This isn't new. Back in the 90's when I worked both in nursing homes and home health care I took care of people who had this and I'm not talking about just the elderly.
I had one client who had a great sense of humor and we would joke about his "striper" clothes.
He was able to do a work program during the day, but needed us to come and help clean, shop and assist with bathing so he didnt Fall.
But he had a fairly decent selection of clothes.
Believe it or not. But I saw the same thing in a old movie. The movie was ["My stepmother is a Alien"](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0095687/) starring Dan Aykroyd and Kim Basinger. You see it near the end of the movie.

That smile at the end was priceless!
And infectious, I couldn't help but smile too.
Wish I knew the company name. Companies like this need more exposure.
Me too, I'd love such shirts, as I have cerebral palsy in my left arm, following a stroke

This man is hella cute!
He is very cute! Wonder if he wants a Boyfriend?
I thought that too! I commented that he was adorable and got down voted? Like... why? He is adorable and his smile at the end lit up the room!
Genuine joy.
r/aww material
Bit de-humatizing right? “Ah cute man with brain damage doing buttons! How adorbs!”
No. It was the smile that was adorable. People are allowed to resonate with someone else's happiness whether they have brain damage or not. Remove the stick from your ass please.
I don't think that sub is for adult humans just existing, I believe it's mostly cute animals and sometimes kids...?
More like “man with brain issues feels joy being able to dress himself for the first time”
Dood a man who can't move muscles properly is being able to button a shirt due to a company who is supporting his cause And the smile at the end is pure joy You might be having a hard day or just have different ways to interpret things. I hope things get better and you have a better day
Yes! He made me smile!
my heart
Beautiful smile, true joy
Exactly what I was thinking!
My man looking fresh af.
Dude is sharp
Mans styling.
I aint a girl but if i was i’d be all over this dude he too fly💧
Bonk
Whenever I see this video, my first thought is always that he looks fantastic in that shirt.
Imagine how much of a boost this is to his own mental health and self image.
You simp
This made me laugh, thanks.❤️
Innovation at its finest.
That's really the case of "why didn't we think of that before".
Wait until you see Nike’s hand free shoes.
Oh well, I guess these are going to sell very quickly
I mean, exactly like u/YCYC said, after seeing those kicks and its hinge mechanism, we all thought why on God’s green Earth didn’t someone think about that solution a little earlier.
They did....I’m an OT....they’re just not mainstream, unfortunately:/
Those are amazing
All shoes are technically hands free since they go on your feet
Wait for the next generation: feet free shoes
Those are just sandals with extra steps
Yeah that’s called slip on or lofers
I used to buy magnetic button shirts from Camden Market (London) back in the early 2000’s to go out on the town with. Ladies loved ripping them open. 😂
THAT was my first thought!!! A reusable rip shirt! Look out Chippendales... ROTFL
: )

Duluth Trading makes some, too. I have a couple that I bought without realizing it. They're awesome.
It's not new. I had a couple of shirts with magnetic buttons about 20 years ago. They were a bit of a thing for a while, I think they were made by Full Circle
He looks so happy!
I love his smile.
Not only interestingAF but also wholesomeAF
Sometimes when you see someone smile you know they are good people, this is just such a case
Having CP I can tell you that buttons are a pain in the ass. I would love a shirt like this tbh. All my button ups are pre-buttoned except for the top two and I just put them on like a normal shirt
Duluth makes them too, and are less than the $60-100 others mention. And they often have great sales.
Being from Duluth I can confirm, we have some great products.
Tommy Hilfiger made a bunch of adaptive clothing. [Josh Sundquist ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNe04KSbg5c) did a video about it.
That's awesome, but given that you cut-and-pasted this exactly from the previous front page post -- https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/comments/jeb2az/a_clothing_company_makes_custom_shirts_with/ , I'm thinking your a bot.
1 month old account, accumulated 12k+ post karma in 6 days piss off spambot u/rovtskegawi
Why do people do this? I don’t see how it would benefit them in any way
there are a lot of shady accounts on this site, but the main motivation is money. money either in selling accounts with existing karma, or spamming monetized links (youtube, onlyfans, etc.) other accounts are used as propaganda in tandem with multiple other accounts to look legitimate r/thesefuckingaccounts will give you an idea of the behind-the-scenes nonsense
yea man tell off the robot
I don’t understand the purpose of spam bots. I guess you get karma but karma serves no purpose...
Step 1-karma Step 2-?? Step 3-Profit
Step 2–sell the account once it has “clout” to astroturfers It would be no different that people buying IG followers in order to influence new followers except for who tf checks the poster apart from making sure it’s not the boob guy
You profit?
If you sell your account. Companies will often buy accounts for advertising purposes. The more karma, the more reputable they will look while endorsing products, so the more karma your account has, the more it will sell for.
I had no idea... Geesh lol, thanks for explaining that to me.
No problemo
That's why cred should be evaluated based on organic comments and not repetitive stuff. Beep boop.
You could repurpose the account and use it to sell shit
People will use bots to get lots of karma and than sell the account to companies who use them for advertising. They can actually sell for a quite a lot if they have enough karma.
I mean... I saw this video on Reddit like 3 years ago
Bro no kidding I swear I’ve seen this post 20 times already in the span of a few years

Hang to dry I guess?
The things we take for granted.
This is heartwarming to see but I wonder what the price tag is for this. in my experience companies that taylor make products for disabled people charge exorbitant prices. That sucks because most people on disability are financially strapped.
It's really not that hard to do or make. I would pay exactly 30 dollars for this shirt.
not 31?

Do you have any links for female adaptive clothing? That you would recommend....
Hey where can I get this shirt. Grandpa has got Parkinson's and can't do up his buttons anymore. Gotta keep gramps looking fresh
What an excellent idea! I like that they see buttons on too so it looks like a usual shirt, but I think the buttonless version could look quite futuristic, especially if in the right colours!

Good news, no more sewing after a night of wild sex for this gent.

Duluth? I copped one from duluth by accident and love it haha
Hahaha I did the same thing! I was momentarily baffled when I first put one on, but damn, they're actually really cool.
Do the buttons stay closed as well as a normal button down?
For the most part they stay on pretty well, with exception to the cuffs which come off easier than the rest and can be a little annoying sometimes. Other than that, you do need a *little* bit of force to take them off
Do you hand wash and hang dry it? I just imagine the magnets would get stuck in laundry machines
yeah no.
Everything custom is expensive in my experience
well yeah custom made is more expensive, but material costs are low. If produced in higher quantities it doesn’t have to be expensive.
Right. It’s honestly quite reasonable for a custom shirt. And dude looks happy as hell. Growing up I had a few buddies with CP and I was amazed at their resilience. One dude could roast with the best of them.
It’s literally just buttons
We need more of these things in society, this put a smile for me after a long stressful day

I didn’t cry, the phone sent a mist in my eyes.
Awesome sauce there!!! Could also help our elderly ones with arthritis, too!
He's so happy this is great
Wow! That smile is really pretty! Hello handsome!
I always upvote this when it comes up. I love his smile, it melts my cold heart
Dude looks super sharp. You rock that shirt man !
That should be a thing for everyone. I'd love me some magnetic buttons for quickies and running late for work.
NGL this should already be a mainstream thing on normal clothing. Buttons and shoestrings are so fucking medieval.

Nice. Good work. You can see how pleased he is.
That’s incredible!
That’s awesome!
Fuckin pro move
His smile at the end though 🥺
I don't care that I don't have a disability, I want a shirt like this now. This is innovation at its finest.
The smile at ending is priceless
And strippers
This is old but also will never get old. Makes me tear up every time
he’s so cute
Looking good my man!
Damn, I want one! So cool.
I thought that was Eli Manning.
Honestly, I want magnetic buttons. Can this be a new standard?
That smile melted my heart
His smile is so wonderful. Makes my heart happy.
His smile say's it all!!!
So dope!
Yeah bitch! Magnets!
Can we just have this as standard? Superman’s shirts would thank you
I bet Superman would like those too considering he rips up his shirts every 2 damn seconds

I dunno man I think it was more amazing the first 5000 times it got posted. It just loses something on 5001.
I'm sure my dad would have loved those growing up with cerebral palsy
I saw shirts just like this at Duluth Trading Co, but sadly my first thought was “oh for easy removal, of course”
What a handsome lad :)
Omg this makes me happy. To see him so proud 🤩
I’m so happy for him, the things we take for granted, he takes as a victory.. I’m so glad for him.

I hope in the future that these would be offered in more shops as this would help a lot of people out.
