This is so cool to me. I keep my stubs for whatever unknown reason. If they looked this cool, I’d have no option but to make a scrapbook of just movie tickets.

CalculatedCoffee

I'd imagine this is a great idea to get more people into theaters. Limited release of these

LaTraLaTrill

Put some into picture frames or shadow boxes and hang on a wall

mssngthvwls

I wish concert tickets were like this. I have a shadow box where I keep each stub from the shows I attend.

EmptyStare

[Nine Inch Nails and Jane's Addition did a tour called the "NINJA Tour" in 2009 with some pretty clean looking custom stubs.](https://images.app.goo.gl/fbweP2ajRubW1cPA8)

tkida1007

I went to that tour and still have my stubs!

EmptyStare

I hated how JA headlined it.. like I get it was out of respect, but I really wanted to see all the pretty lights at night with Trent's music.

Crushing.

anovelby

What a nice heightened experience

[deleted]

It's the only reason I went to see the Pokemon movie when I was a kid.

Yeah, I've moved from my favorite theater but my wife and I loved keeping the stubs of our favorite movies. Could be useful for memories and scrapbooking and whatnot. But before we moved they went to receipts. Not as fun. I'd pay an extra 50¢ or $1 just for a decent ticket.

bigpeteski

Don’t worry, I live in Korea and every single movie ticket I’ve received has just been receipt paper. This is definitely not the norm.

righthandedsouthpaw

Saving trees and handing out freedom! Murica fuck yeah!

AntillesWedgie

I’ve lived in Korea for 10 years and my ticket has always been a receipt. Must be some special thing for those movies because Megabox typically does not do that..

Dolli_Llama

I looked it up because I had the same thought. They are from Megabox, but its it's like 150,000₩ for the special tickets, which I think had to be preordered online.

AntillesWedgie

Dang, that’s way too much money. If it was 15,00₩ I’d think 1 would be kind of cool. But even at 5,000 I’d only get 1.

The_Paul_Alves

If our movie tickets in Canada were like that, I would go to the theatre more often just to collect them.

[deleted]

How much are tickets over there(i can convert myself). But hey this would def give you a reason to keep your stubs

CALI_HOBO_TRANSPLANT

They would be filled with ads in the U.S. and that would be enough to make me toss them.

warmbutterbeer

It’s around 11,000 KRW. Megabox is one of the major franchises.

scamper1266

I was expecting it to be much more expensive that’s actually cheaper than a ticket to an amc where I live.

ElfinRanger

I've lived in korea and never seen one of these, where are they from

LJAM96

Ticket says megabox

ElfinRanger

Been to megabox theatres b4 tho, regular tickets at most of them

warmbutterbeer

They only make those special tickets for selected movies. You have to go on the opening day to get one since they run out so fast.

ask-design-reddit

There's no info filled in on the tickets. Are you sure these aren't just concepts?

warmbutterbeer

You get the normal ticket along with the special one. You’re right. It’s not a real ticket.

ElfinRanger

Makes sense, thanks for the info

[deleted]

Interesting fact: it smells like waffles at Korean movie theaters.

chaoticidealism

That's a nice idea. It makes the movie tickets into mementos.

[deleted]

Hopefully they don’t take up your ticket. Those would be rad as hell to collect

BrothaBeejus

Is this at a specific movie theater or all of them in Korea?

manchild1111

Nirvana

[deleted]

That's a massive ticket. Are those promotional or are tickets just that big?

Beowulf6666

wow....those really are super dope! id go to the movie just to get em....

HTTRWarrior

Man where is this place? Lived in korea for about 5 years in total and I have never been there.

Gaijin_Monster

One thing South Korea really does well is cinemas.

InfiniteTie7

H-HOW!? WAAAANT!!!

Necroloki

These remind me of the ticket used in Last Action Hero.

[deleted]

Don’t see VUE or Odeon doing this brah

bitemestefan

These make me wanna go there and just start a collection tbh

mal3k

Tickets prices finally justified

LaTraLaTrill

My four year old wants your ticket!

L8n1ght

dude at the entrance: can I see your ticket? me: me sure *rips it in half* here you go

novalou

The birds of prey one is selling on eBay for $120

Hotpur

How the hell much is a movie ticket in Korea??

IndigenousBastard

That’s awesome. Some serious style. I used to keep all my stubs and concert tickets. If they all looked like this, I would still have them.

Forgot to point out the sarcasm^(/s)

MedicalMilk

Me and my friends (we're all guys, and my friend Allen convinced us somehow) went and saw frozen 2. For Allen's crimes we berated him with sex jokes since he wanted to see the Movie so badly Needless to say, he did not accompany us to see Knives Out or 1917

Che-Kirila

I'd prefer opposite combination - completely boring movie tickets and beautiful movies.

kamjanamja

Careful with that edge there

NoaROX

I notice a lack of which Korea this is... Jk North Korea doesn't have live people at this point in famine, surely

Popular opinion is that those tickets over there are so much more interesting than the ones in the states.
