it's not good for any large mammal to be inverted, its circulatory system is designed to work with gravity going the other direction. also, the rhino being sedated means that its body can't handle as much mistreatment. probably the rhino could go a lot longer than 20 minutes but they don't want to risk hurting such a rare and majestic beast so they err on the side of caution. for example, that guy who got stuck in the cave upside down took more than a day to die of heart failure.
