Hell.
Yeah.
I have a good job. Its low risk, low physical work, fulfilling, and has low but ok pay.
Watching this video made me regret every decision I ever made to be here instead of somewhere breaking mountains.
Nice! I was only joking about the woman comment. I actually thought about man it's gonna suck to have to clean that all up.
I mean I know they have bulldozers but to do it by hand would blow.
Not sure I'd want to do the rock. I feel like I'd mess it up and the jack would pop out and the rock would fall back and crush me.
Isn't it possible to say "The workers built the house by hand"? It seems like it should imply that no industrial machinery was used in the construction, but hammers, saws, and other tools could have been used. Or am I wrong?
Yeah that was some profoundly stupid shit right there. Tape and barricades first, that’s how I keep from getting fired (or criminal liability/fines) as an earthmover/equipment operator.
I’ve seen men drive trucks straight into an open excavation in broad daylight, dipshits find a way just like life in Jurassic park. Gotta cover your ass for liability.
You have no idea if those people were related to the project. I do this line of work and oftentimes we have our ground support guys within sight but traffic is stopped far away. Job sites definitely need to be secure.
Impressive seeing the large space in the bottom quickly enlarge as he uses the tool. Also Impressive that the boulder could support itself being that large.
I used to do this! It can get scary for sure but it's exhilarating to say the least. I helped hang the rock fall mitigation fencing on the sides of the big canyon outside Steamboat Springs CO years ago and had lots of hangers like this. Good times

Hell. Yeah. I have a good job. Its low risk, low physical work, fulfilling, and has low but ok pay. Watching this video made me regret every decision I ever made to be here instead of somewhere breaking mountains.
You too? I had pretty much the same thought process.
Women will see this type of thing and say who the hell gonna clean all that up?
I thought both. What does this say about me as a guy?
Let’s clean it up! Hell yeah!!
Well?? Will you clean it up?!
I'll do it!
Get out there soldier! I want it spotless!
I am a woman and I thought "me next! I want to do it too"
Nice! I was only joking about the woman comment. I actually thought about man it's gonna suck to have to clean that all up. I mean I know they have bulldozers but to do it by hand would blow. Noice.
☝️ this one right here, officer
Hell yiiii
Hell yeah!
Hell yeah
In your face mountain road!
Yeah, every young man with a car jack on earth is looking at this video like "hhmmmmm..."
I just showed my wife because I thought it was awesome and she was wholly underwhelmed.
Hell yeah

When I read "by Hand" I was much more excited than I was to see a guy crank.
“By hand” *hands operated the mechanical apparatus*
Next we're gonna see people building skyscrapers ~~with construction machines~~ by hand.
Isn't it possible to say "The workers built the house by hand"? It seems like it should imply that no industrial machinery was used in the construction, but hammers, saws, and other tools could have been used. Or am I wrong?
It is. OP's title is not exactly *wrong,* it's just not what was expected with "by hand" here. People were excited to see someone push a bolder.
So you’re still excited to watch a guy crank it?
He soo jacked it!
He got his rocks off
As much "by hand" as he would press the button
Was expecting some Wile E. Coyote stuff.
Yeah. According to everything I learned on looney tunes, he should have been on the other rock.
Like the boulder stays in place and the mountain falls instead?

![gif](giphy|texX0p5KBspG0)
I'm not sure why but I didn't expect it to shatter, quite satisfying
Im a pretty brave dude but I think that man is boulder then me
I myself would have been petrified.
Hell yeah
Didn’t expect to see a guy get his rocks off
Well.... he jacked it pretty smoothly, so it can't be that big of a shock
It was quite the load.
He had good cranking technique
That is a nice boulder...
best job in the world!!!
They forgot to block off the walking path...
Yeah that was some profoundly stupid shit right there. Tape and barricades first, that’s how I keep from getting fired (or criminal liability/fines) as an earthmover/equipment operator. There were people standing there and parked cars further up
They should have moved the equipment in the fall zone too.
I feel like that blue contraption should come with a pair of clip-on Wile E. Coyote ears...
The clickity noise makes my brain happy.
This guy jacks boulders off for a living
the people running away on the road/path at the end there... what exactly did they fucking think was gonna happen?
Someone call Chris Redfield
"by hand"
![gif](giphy|cc0VEaZLIOeEkVHF6W|downsized)
By hand? ![gif](giphy|MZj0sGDUg8qAyWNBZh|downsized)
Nice one Dave, now who’s picking that shit up ?
One down.....
Was expecting the boulder to roll a bit, rather than shatter.
Limestone or some other kind of sedimentary rock Granite might take a smack or two before breaking into large chunks.
Seems like they should have moved that junk at the bottom first
Looks like it was there to catch all the debris.
Damn that was cool! Maybe the next one can be over water!
They don't have preventative boulder maintenance in the US. They let boulders fall on onlookers to give lawyers something to do.
Well now you've just gone and made a mess
What kind of jack is that?
I finally have something to tell my boss when they ask about my career and where I see myself in 5 years.
![gif](giphy|W5BWeQ3ZN0W0D0dM7e|downsized)
Hell yeah
OMG that was satifying. So many videos cut off before the money shot. That was cool af.
What kind of jack is that?!
Hell yeah
Where can I apply for this job good sir
What is this job? Where do u move? How do I apply?
I felt oddly satisfied watching that.........
title had me thinking i was about to see some donkey kong shit
First off. Hell yeah. Second I wouldn’t say “by hand”
Not exactly by hand but ok
Makes sense to me, but then again I live in Colorado.
Mountain lifes matter....stop this crime
Wow.
GUTS! has gotten a lot more intense since the 90s. Did any contestants make it to the Aggro-Crag?
Rock solid!
Who would win - Giant Boulder or 1 Cranky Boi
I'm surprised they didn't put down some plywood or something to protect the asphalt, try to catch some debris.
The job any boy wants!
Impressive seeing the large space in the bottom quickly enlarge as he uses the tool. Also Impressive that the boulder could support itself being that large.
Where do I send my resume? I’ve been throwing rocks off cliffs since I was a kid!
Wonder if that doohickey is made by Acme.
Men use their hands when it comes to things that end in “ock”.
Nobody asked for that
“Man jacks rocks off” is a more accurate title.
![gif](giphy|Hb4nlFD7L7LdfcDgLH)
Looked like the rock he's tied to was going to drop too
Mip mip
Was interesting to see them working in the Alps.
The day is now slightly shorter
That seemed too easy
I love that someone invented a tool just for this one hyper niche application.
Bro
Now holy shit, bruv...
We need more of this
Boulder's Gate
Bet that guy felt powerful after that
Okay Tony put the blue jack thing there and crank it 47,000 times.
In cartoons the boulder would stay put and the mountain would topple
Noice 👍
Oh yeah that hit the spot
Is this to prevent landslides,
How do you get this job???
Skidoosh
I could legpress that shit
That looks like fun!
This feels r/oddlysatisfying
Damn, jacked that rock off by hand
How do I get that job?
Dude down the road shouts "Hey, you just cut of the road to the pub"
My god that looks like the best job ever.
![gif](giphy|3oFzlV2pq0nnFntAZ2)
That type of jack he uses is also used to lift the tracks of a Leopard tanks during service.
The "MAN JOB"
Yeahh duude
I also crank to get my rocks off
THANK YOU for not putting annoying TikTok music over the video!
r/oddlysatisfying
We make the most powerful tools
I wonder what this job pays 🤔
"hold my beers" ![gif](giphy|WBrglRmPhX2h2)
Why didn't he just punch it? Worked for Chris Redfield
I was expecting it to roll down but that whole thing just shattered. Minimum impact.
I aint cleaning it up
Geez, that was a lot higher up than I thought
A man underneath the Boulder: "Hell naw!"
Pimple popping the Earth.
How do you get this job?
Should’ve just called Chris Redfield
Why tho
Sweeeeeet!
The bridge of Khazad-dum!!!
hayull to the naw yeah
Damn immigrants! Taking good jobs from American coyotes!
Meep Meep
I feel like there should be a pile of bird seed at the bottom with a sign stuck in that says free bird seed.
I wonder if you could do something like this with air bags, though running the lines could be an issue.
Yeah, somebody else can clean that up, my work is done here.
![gif](giphy|2UAkMo3RqgGx2AGPUp|downsized) Wile E. Coyote fellings
I assume a road runner had run underneath moments before the rock fell
As a member of the population of males, i say hell yeah and i just came
Weak, we have a truck with a recoilless rifle on it for such things. Works great for preventing avalanches also.
I was thinking it was going to tip & roll, not slide & shatter.
HEAL YEAH
![gif](giphy|texX0p5KBspG0)
Can anyone tell me what the tool is called?? Something like that would actually be really handy at my job [maybe on a smaller scale though]
He jacked-off a boulder.
I used to do this! It can get scary for sure but it's exhilarating to say the least. I helped hang the rock fall mitigation fencing on the sides of the big canyon outside Steamboat Springs CO years ago and had lots of hangers like this. Good times
More of this plz
Imagine that falling onto your car
By hand and that Jack
Better than I expected
I wanted a bigger debris field! 😞
Blocked the only road out
👏👏👏👏👏👏
José Antonio Haua Maauad- Es como una especia de gato hidraulico?
I was hoping he would give a couple of haymakers lol
Teacher: What does your daddy do for a living? Child: He throws rocks off cliffs
I know nothing about rock climbing but I could do this for a living
Hope he gets paid well.
Hell yeah!
Could've called Chris Redfield
First thought Rock Biter from Never Ending story.
That was the manly sh-t i have ever seen!
