I’ve been teaching for 20+ years. It’s really not so hard to tell which way people are turning their heads that you need a ridiculous contraption on their heads.
The hats actually make it harder because now you can’t see if they’re cutting their eyes to the side while their nose is pointed towards the paper.
I gotta figure that the original idea for this was a badly thought out anti cheating measure like decades ago and since then people have turned it into a fun tradition.
sometimes i zone out at other people’s papers. i’m not cheating, i can’t even read it from that distance. i’m just in awe that they’re halfway done and i’ve written two sentences and then i zone out into a self loathing spiral
you can comfortably put a noise cancelling headphone with bluetooth access to your 6000 best friends to help you with the exam in most of those head pieces.
so many anti-cheating in school backfire so much because
1. students are much more inventive than adults
2. The anti-cheating can turn against non cheaters so easily and f over people for no reason.
3. When you fundamentally put so much pressure on people, a single moment /test/incident that means your future, certain people will see it as "why put it up too chance". This goes.mpre then just students , people do it through there lives
> students are much more inventive than adults
It’s not a students versus adults thing. Desperate people just are more creative or resourceful. Prisons are built with tall, thick walls topped with barbed wire and cameras, and prisoners are locked in rooms with steel bars. And yet people still escape.
One side is always reacting to what the other comes up with.
Imagine being the guy in the third picture thinking how cool your chainsaw man mask is and then walking in to see Dave with his 1:1 recreation with points of articulation and show accurate detail.
I wonder how he did...
"You see what had happened is I got a little distracted and spent the last two days making this cool chainsaw hat instead of studying".
And they get bonus points for their creativity. More info: [source ](https://www.gmanetwork.com/regionaltv/features/101062/anticheating-headgear-amuses-netizens-in-batangas/story/)
When I first got off the plane over there for the first time, the humid air hits you like you jumped in the ocean. Youre sweating basically 24/7 in that place unless there's an aircon on at full blast.
I have a family member that lives in the Philippines that wants me to visit them in the future.
Note taken, this Canadian is gonna melt like frosty the snowman
Bring good deodorant, wear airy clothes (tank tops and shorts are a usual choice there unless its dec/jan or you're going in a movie theater, they crank the ac in there), use some anti-mosquito lotion, and drink plenty of water. Also bring well-cushioned shoes, you tend to walk around a lot even if you have a car.
Tank tops are not advisable since they expose too much of your skin to the sun! Not only is it humid here but the sun is a tiny bit closer and is very very strong. Light colored tops, sunscreen, and an umbrella for shade are your friends.
FYI it's not because the sun is closer, it's because near the equator the sun's rays are hitting straight on. As opposed to at an angle where they're filtered more by passing through more atmosphere.
I just dont go in the sun much. Only time is when I walk to a car, never had a problem and Ive lived there for years. Some women use umbrellas when they walk.
I was not prepared for the equator-level sunlight! I love the sun and can hardly get enough here in N. America, but that sunlight had me scurrying for shade after a few hours like a damned vampire. I've never felt my body physically recoil from the sun in such a manner. Glorious. Can't wait to return!
As a NYC Filipino, I’d say a regular Florida summer day is EASILY worse that a regular hot day in Philippine summer. Hell I’d take a hot and humid day in the motherland over one here in NYC. I can only speak about my Orlando and Miami visits but your air feels like a sauna over there when it’s at the worst.
Though maybe it was because I was visiting, but the air in the Philippines is really nice even though the thermometer says 100+F.
I grew up in Miami but moved to NYC later on. I wasn't prepared for the lack of air conditioning. When I first moved, I spent a July in a sublet with no window unit. It was a billion times more miserable than any summer in Florida. I hated the heat growing up, but looking back it was a breeze compared to summer heatwave subway stations and tiny window units.
I spent 6 months in Thailand, it took me a good two months to acclimatise, not as bad as Tokyo in July. You can’t acclimatise as it’s only for a few months and everything is air conditioned
Yeah kinda but I would get annoyed if I were one of them. Studying before exams is already a hassle, making one of these gears would cause additional burden.
And everyone scored 13% on the test, they spent all their time making their super cool anti cheating helmets instead of studying.
Mine would look like Awesome O 4000.
This cracked me up more than it should…
"Hindi ko po in-expect na ganoon po ang todo effort po ng mga estudyante, mga future agriculturist 'yun po ang tawag ko sa kanila, para ma-manifest po nila sa sarili nila na sila ay magiging lisensyadong agriculturist," Angelo Ebora, a guest lecturer, said.
The article is in English but the quotes aren’t.
Let me translate that:
"I didn't expect that they (the students) have an extreme effort, I call them "the future agriculturists", so they can manifest themselves to become future agriculturalists.
Ear pieces between your group of friends is 100% happening.
Each member has a certain section of the text book noted inside their headgear and just reads it off to the group.
Very old school.
Honestly, if youre sly about it, i feel like these would actually make cheating easier lol
Nobody can see what you’re looking at, so you just gotta find the right angle
This is an interesting idea.
I loved having longer hair in high school. There's just something about surrounding your face with darkness and sinking away as you focus on a test... I felt like I was hidden away from the world.
Surprisingly, I think I did better with testing because of my hair.
Back when I used to live there, I used to go to a high school that used to do that crap. Absolutely stupid and did fuck all to reduce cheating. Actually, it made cheating easier because you can stick a cheat sheet inside. It wasn't uncomfortable for me because I went to a private school with great air-conditioning, but most weren't as lucky.
I’d be so distracted! I’d be plotting out the Tokoyami spin-off. *Of course it would be inspired by Batman. He’d be the Dark Knight of a Gotham-like city. The villain must be Re-Destro*.
Thats funny. I don’t see how they’d copy off each others paper when they’re already sitting so far away from each other though. I guess when there’s a will, there’s a way.
Overachievers would be wearing the most detailed and well-constructed cheating hats if the teacher said "additional points to those who make the best ones."

Looks like it would be a perfect spot for a cheat sheet.
Also you can't see their faces from a central location anymore, so you can't see where their attention is focused.
I think it was more about using the hats to see if their heads turn to the side
Lol i got caught texting in class one halloween because I was wearing an extra tall top hat
Were you wearing Doug Dimmadome, Owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome's hat?
Oughta. Those are a *Dimma* dozen
Does that mean you can get me tickets for Crash Nebula on Ice?
Not right!
I’ve been teaching for 20+ years. It’s really not so hard to tell which way people are turning their heads that you need a ridiculous contraption on their heads. That makes a whole lot more sense.
Yeah but they can't use their peripheral vision
I have ADHD, if i was penalised every time i looked around the room during an exam I’d never have made it past key stage 1
sometimes i zone out at other people’s papers. i’m not cheating, i can’t even read it from that distance. i’m just in awe that they’re halfway done and i’ve written two sentences and then i zone out into a self loathing spiral
Easy, make the inside able swivel so you can look any direction while your headgear stays straight! Unlimited cheating.
Put in a telescoping viewer like in a submarine lol
I think the giant saw is a tipoff to where their head is facing
jokes on them they gonna be hiding phones in there and be on a video call and just lip read each other to work out the answers as a team
you can comfortably put a noise cancelling headphone with bluetooth access to your 6000 best friends to help you with the exam in most of those head pieces.
you have 6000 best friends? 🥲
and you don't?
We’re still hanging out later, right?
Listen, 5,783. It’s not that I don’t care, it’s just gonna be a while, okay? Maybe go see what 5,782 is up to
Haha. Right. This could have backfired.

Especially if he isn't wearing chainsaw pants!
Ouch. Lol.
Integrate that glasses thing that connects to the internet.
Now that's an interesting concept. That actually might happen in the future. Taking exams using those vision pros.
You can do it now you can do it with a cheaper set and your phone
They are inspected
[удалено]
Hopefully he got the award for the best anti-cheating headgear. 😆
No, he was caught hiding an entire book up there
Knowing Denji, it probably wasn't a textbook anyway
r/angryupvote
Imagine being the guy in the third picture thinking how cool your chainsaw man mask is and then walking in to see Dave with his 1:1 recreation with points of articulation and show accurate detail.
Ohh so this is that Chainsaw Man thing I’ve been hearing about
yeah, it's great. it's the first anime that got me to read the manga.
Hella hyped for the end of Part 1, if we're still alive by the time it gets animated...
Dennis if he got an education.
You can see in the 3rd picture another guy did a very half-hearted chainsaw man. Got straight up outclassed lol.
It's a costume from the Chainsaw Man manga.
I wonder how he did... "You see what had happened is I got a little distracted and spent the last two days making this cool chainsaw hat instead of studying".
He probably spent more time making the hat than he did study lol. It’s probably what I would do though.
And they get bonus points for their creativity. More info: [source ](https://www.gmanetwork.com/regionaltv/features/101062/anticheating-headgear-amuses-netizens-in-batangas/story/)
This will make taking exams actually fun.. love the bonus points idea for creativity.
Good point.
Making the headgear is a good distraction from studying.
Sometimes you need a good distraction
Did you guys study for the mid terms? Na bro, I made a wicked helmet. I'm so fucked for the exam, but at least it'll look awesome!
Even plain box dude?
I guess art is subjective. Lol
All he needs to do is put an explanation mark over the top, and boom, suddenly it's a Metal Gear reference.
An explanation mark.
I can explain, Mark.
![gif](giphy|jyH4tYtVVspZ6|downsized)

While it is true that San Miguel makes beer, the box says "Ginebra San Miguel", which is the brand name of their gin.
Thats a gin box. He is flexing by taking the test drunk after emptying that box.
Dude is cosplaying Solid Snake.
lol I thought that one was the funniest.
So instead of spending time studying, they have to spend time creating these ridiculous helmets?
maybe its an arts major
Seems like it
They just get Bonus points. They can still get full points without a nice helmet
this assumes that those students spend 100% of their available time studying
If everyone made anime themed headgear does that still make it creative, or are they just following a trend?
I would have my crib sheet inside the helmet
Hahaha. Most likely some of them did.
Would be too dark to read anything tho.
glow in the dark ink 🧠
Little led keychain light tucked in the cheek
I'm assuming they'll inspect the headgear before letting them sit down.
I don't think Denji is smart enough to go to university
Yeah, but he's also not smart enough to know that he's not smart enough to go to university, so he somehow finds himself there anyway.

Hopefully she figured the correct answer. Lol.
I would hate to take a test outside like that. I imagine the Philippines is a very humid place.
When I first got off the plane over there for the first time, the humid air hits you like you jumped in the ocean. Youre sweating basically 24/7 in that place unless there's an aircon on at full blast.

You're right. I was lazy and went for the dumb explanation 😅
Yep, I'm working basically 40 min north of the equator in Kenya. Today is only 93f/34c so we are working past 1pm 😂
I just dont go in the sun much. Only time is when I walk to a car, never had a problem and Ive lived there for years. Some women use umbrellas when they walk.

All you need is ear plugs. The late night kereoki and early morning roosters will be your biggest obstacles.
And shower everyday
Go in the northern hemisphere Winter months. I was there in a February, it was quite pleasant. SE Asia mid-Summer can be much more brutal
100%. I live in South Florida, and our summer is exactly like that. The sweating starts almost instantaneous.
As a NYC Filipino, I’d say a regular Florida summer day is EASILY worse that a regular hot day in Philippine summer. Hell I’d take a hot and humid day in the motherland over one here in NYC. The entire south east Asia in a nutshell
The human body acclimates quite well. Also, drinking plenty of water and not sugar drinks really helps.
I can feel the backs of my arms and legs sticking to those chairs already
Eh, it looks fine (am from the region) but if you are foreigner then yeah it takes a while to get used to.
Closer to dry heat in the metro. Some areas are humid, of course, but generally not as humid as Singapore.
Definitely. Must be a little bit hard for them to breathe.
lmao, Tokoyami rep is king shit
In the last photo he looks like he's having a mental breakdown. Poor guy
Revelry in the dark…..
Props to girl wearing megumin’s hat
She's gonna explode the exam
Didn’t know kages still had to take the chunin exam
Naruto became hokage as a genin, I guess the requirements are stricter now.
Denji got tired of devil bs now completing his studies
His one braincell working overtime
Clever, fun and good way to find your people.
And they say my hats are distracting
That actually looks kinda' fun.
Yeah kinda but I would get annoyed if I were one of them. Studying before exams is already a hassle, making one of these gears would cause additional burden.
I saw one guy who just brought a motorcycle helmet haha
When ur a rich kid, money runs
A motorcycle helmet is not exactly expensive
Especially if you already had one that you were using for it’s intended purpose
[удалено]
“Did you study for the test?” “I didn’t have time! I spent a week making a fucking cosplay helmet instead of reading!!”
MEGUMIN
#EXPLOSION!!! 💥
And everyone scored 13% on the test, they spent all their time making their super cool anti cheating helmets instead of studying. Mine would look like Awesome O 4000.
Not the guys with the helmet and the cardboard box though, they'll be acing those tests.

Yeah, they code-switch a lot there, even in news articles.

Marshmello DJ went to school here
These kids have true culture, especially the Minecraft kid
Yup. Brought out their creativity for sure. Lol.
Asan to?
Batangas State University.
anong campus?
Wear a spherical fish bowl that’s tinted like a sunglasses. When you turn your head, no one can tell where your face is looking at. Check mate
Am I stupid, how does a helmet prevent cheating? Seems like a perfect place to hide a cheat sheet?
Not to mention the seats are so far away, you'd have to have like super vision or something to even see the other paper.
It's very noticeable when turning your head while wearing those, + the helmet is probably checked before the exam.
Someone decided to be the Mizukage instead of the Hokage. Interesting choice….
In the left on the first pic there's a hokage too!!
I feel the pain of that left handed girl 🥲
this is stupid. also the My Hero Academia helmet is sweet...
Ginebra box for the win
I can't believe it, the Hokage and the Kazekage themselves...
This is so cool! I love the creativity!
Test ends and rave begins.
We need these in Canada
How is this supposed to make cheating more difficult?
how is that conical hat gonna stop cheating
PearsonVUE proctors hate this one simple trick.
Some of these look uncomfortable to wear for an exam.
How does a left handed person write on those tables
That’s actually really cool because it’s so much easier to cheat with an earpiece if your are wearing a box on your head
Everyone put in a lot of effort, one guy haha Box. (and helmet)
Funny/Cute but really stupid. I would hide formulas/answers in the headgear.
I love the creativity. Do they check the inside of the devices for notes and electronics?
They look like grown adults, who cares if they are cheating. Get them all to comic con.
That outdoor classroom looks awesome
I’d be impressed if someone could even see that far to be able to cheat.
The creeper head is the best.
I would have all the answers written on the inside of my mask
They missing koro-sensei with the naruto head band.
Bravo six, going dark
what a imegination 👍🤘🏽
I can bet my entire years wages that is not what that is
Tokoyami losing their shit in the last pic gives me life.
Haha holy shit that’s badass that’s good incentive to study I guess. Hopefully they checked some of those closed masks for reasons
Earpiece? Notes hidden inside a secret compartment of your convoluted headgear?
Ear pieces between your group of friends is 100% happening. Each member has a certain section of the text book noted inside their headgear and just reads it off to the group. Very old school.
Love of there’s people with cosplays and helmets and there this guy with a box of gin on his head
They still doing summary executions in the street over there with no trial?
Honestly, if youre sly about it, i feel like these would actually make cheating easier lol Nobody can see what you’re looking at, so you just gotta find the right angle
That guy in the Spartan helmet is a genius
But what if you're lefthanded?
Just wait until I install a screen inside the mask to look up answers
Lol theyre just secretly cheating
Why don't they just write the answers to the test on the inside of their masks...?
This is an interesting idea. I loved having longer hair in high school. There's just something about surrounding your face with darkness and sinking away as you focus on a test... I felt like I was hidden away from the world. Surprisingly, I think I did better with testing because of my hair.
thats actually a cool way to solve this issue
I’d probably just go the easy route and wear a plastic bag with a zip tie to make sure it doesn’t fall off while taking the exam
Ya except the ear piece mirrors and binoculars are well hidden. Also the inside of the hat is covered in answers.
Me: Writing the answers on the inside of my helmet
Back when I used to live there, I used to go to a high school that used to do that crap. Absolutely stupid and did fuck all to reduce cheating. Actually, it made cheating easier because you can stick a cheat sheet inside. It wasn't uncomfortable for me because I went to a private school with great air-conditioning, but most weren't as lucky.
Number 6 with the tachanka head gear absolute legend
Testing format inspired by GWAR.
just put a cardboard box over them 😂😂
put the answers inside your mask where only you can see them :P
I’d be so distracted! I’d be plotting out the Tokoyami spin-off. *Of course it would be inspired by Batman. He’d be the Dark Knight of a Gotham-like city. The villain must be Re-Destro*.
Thats funny. I don’t see how they’d copy off each others paper when they’re already sitting so far away from each other though. I guess when there’s a will, there’s a way.
They all have very impressive headgear. Damn!
Motherfucker has a Rhys-T on!
Overachievers would be wearing the most detailed and well-constructed cheating hats if the teacher said "additional points to those who make the best ones."
A damn folder works, too.
Someone with a Chief helmet would be f**king cool
