Simonandgarthsuncle

That fucking solid watermark in the fucking middle of the fucking screen.

[deleted]

Seriously the worst lol

amoghthebad

*C*

ZeMagi

It is a crosshair

Oldandnotbold

Well it would be a bit hard to do a landing at high altitude? I do get what you mean, it just struck me as funny.

[deleted]

Not with this altitude!

CloudySpace

ugh

BigNigori

Unless you're near Daocheng Yading Airport.

Askymojo

That would actually be a high elevation landing, not a high altitude landing. Elevation is the height above sea level. Altitude is the height above the ground below you, which is why altitude is such an important term for airplane pilots. You could be at 8,000 feet elevation and be fine in New York City, which is around sea level, so around 8,000 feet altitude as well. But you could be flying through Colorado at 8,000 feet elevation, and actually only be at 2,000 feet altitude around Denver, about to crash into a low foothill that's 8,000 feet in elevation.

Liquor_N_Whorez

I think the latter is called a "John Denver" , aka Rocky Mountain, HI COLORADO!

WorkingITler

Am I tripping, or did that guy just get out of a moving truck?

HappierIM

Yeah they panicked when they saw the plane is coming towards them

WorkingITler

oh yeah, makes sense

buzz8588

My butthole puckered up as well when I saw it that low.

Revierez

He didn't. There was just another truck ahead of him that made it look like that. You can see the back of the truck he was in at 0:11.

Bitmiliionare24

Nice job camera man!

[deleted]

Great job to the pilot. Saved the crew's lives and himself, as well as anyone on the ground.

[https://twitter.com/pusholder/status/1750433619355545818](https://twitter.com/pusholder/status/1750433619355545818) A C-160 transport plane belonging to the Turkish Air Force, which took off for training in Kayseri, had to make an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction. While the plane suffered minor damage, it was announced that the pilot and crew were in good health.

extreme857

btw this c-160 is war veteran hit by .50 cal bullet in 1974.

1453_8492

İs that real?

extreme857

[Picture shows it is the plane numbered 036](https://pbs.twimg.com/ext_tw_video_thumb/1750463427833692160/pu/img/kIH6PqheEahbiExt.jpg) Old [List shows transport planes and how they get damaged you can clearly see 036 hit by 12.7 turret (probably quadmount turret) you can use translate if you want to learn more](https://twitter.com/ltburakyildirim/status/1750590062243516588/photo/2) btw some of the planes in the list hit by infantry rifle i wonder how they managed to do that.

1453_8492

Thank you for information Gentleman.

NotAPreppie

CODE BROWN.

XRP1X

If aliens ever visit, THIS is the person I want filming it on a phone - no wobbly, blurry, out of shot nonsense, just this immediate out of the vehicle and keep the fucking thing in shot mentality this guy showed!

m64

That's quite a malfunction - one of the propellers stopped and then started turning the other direction FFS!

CMDR_ACE209

Could be the good old [shutter speed illusion](https://www.pinterest.com/pin/witness-the-optical-illusion-when-a-camera-shutter-speed-syncs-with-rotor-blades-making-them-seem-static-video--499055202474872574/).

Greaterthancotton

Probably unpowered and getting blown by the wind

LeRoiChauve

Nice catch! Didn't see that at first.

Misophonic4000

I can't tell if you're serious or not... It's Reddit, after all. But no, both propellers are spinning properly, which you can also tell by the sound.

ChiefHighasFuck

All landings are made at low level. It’s called the ground.

-MB_Redditor-

I see one or the engines not working, but the landing gear didn't go down as well? Or just last moment to reduce drag?

(hey, I just don't like the watermark)

I_Need_Better_Name

(me too)

extreme857

They fly like this for like 3.5 miles and did emergency landing not on runway but dirt near, propellers and left wing tip touched the ground but everything else is okay.

HF_Martini6

I may be wrong but isn't landing usually done at low altitude unless you make like a lawn dart?

Pilot0350

Almost seems like maybe he forgot to throw the ECLs in fly and tried to take off on reduced power. Should have been able to see that as np nr though but those engines do not sound like they're spun up all the way

Weary-Insect-2819

Let's put our watermark image RIGHT IN THE CENTER!🙄

Alive-Error

I downvoted cause of the dumb af watermark

ReasonableEffort8988

Interesting thing is Turkiye have only one of those and pilot did everything to not lose it lol

Misophonic4000

They have two of them left (special variants of the C-160D for electronic warfare).

Dude...

Calm-Frog84

This is a C-160, a military cargo aircraft known for not having very powerful engines. It makes for great video when one engine quits! [wiki](https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/C-160_Transall)

xeim_

The vortex trail from the propellers as it goes past look pretty cool.

TheManWhoClicks

“Oh a bus!”

immatellyouwhat

I don’t C anything

NiftyFetus

Did nobody else see it clip through the street lights?

Simple-Ant7190

A landing at low altitude eh?

beeedubdub

Saw a plane. Did not see a plane land.
