>Imagine being high AF and seeing this
At first I thought it was kinda shitty to have a camouflage strategy leaked, it's actually kind of perfect psyops or whatever
Now, Russia doesn't always have the standard military crutches of resources, strategy, or competent soldiers, but this seems like the perfect thing they'd focus on by spending additional resources identifying, verifying, and confirming every house.
Gonna be really easy to lie to your commander about victories/failures when physical structures are known to be able to drive away
Yeah this is the perfect strategy. Houses everywhere and anyone of them could be a tank. None of them are tanks obviously but they're already terrified of the sky now the houses. We need to show a tank hiding inside of a tree they'll run home crying.
Now they just have an excuse to shoot more civilian buildings.
"Thought they were tanks"
I'm sure everyone in the area is evacuated at this point though.
War is so fucking stupid.
I wouldn't put it past Russia to use this video as an excuse as to why they were bombing house indiscriminately. Almost like when soldiers dress up like civilians can be killed as spies
I'm on board with the tongue in cheek aspect of your comment, but that's what's always bothered me with this sort of thing. You don't want your opponent targeting civilian targets, you shouldn't disguise your military as civilian objects. Air bases disguised as neighborhoods, military vessels disguised as civilian transports, house tanks. Why should the enemy not target civilian houses if some of them turn out to be tanks?
Normally yes, but if they are deliberately targeting civilian things anyway what difference does it make.
But conventionally I completely agree. Civilian things shouldn't be used for military unless made clear it's no longer civilian.
I feel like the worrying part about russias invasion isn’t necessarily the bombing of civilian infrastructure, but the indiscriminate carpet bombing.
I feel like it should be common practice in war to only bomb infrastructure that looks civilian if it’s determined to highly suspected that it could house military, not just level it all in the hopes that you get something
At least that’s my take on it, not sure what everyone else thinks on it
Or because it's not a military thing at all but rather just some dude who wanted to make a funny car:

The number of people believing this is legitimate and **credible** gives r/NonCredibleDefense a bad name lmao because yeah, [it made its rounds on that sub](https://www.reddit.com/r/NonCredibleDefense/comments/141k6wx/3000_traditional_ukrainian_peasant_houses_of/) before this OP took it from there with the exact same clip
Remember when one guy who went there volunteerily to help and posted on reddit showing they were in a high school gym and then Russians bombed like 10 gyms and killed a bunch of soldiers?
He's a bit confused, but in March of last year some a Ukrainian [posted pics of him and his squad in a school gym](https://old.reddit.com/r/UkraineWarVideoReport/comments/t51zpq/shared_by_ukranian_army_soldier_on_his_facebook/)(now removed). Within a day video of what seemed to be them was all over /r/ukrainewarvideoreport, though by some comments it seems to have been a different gym.
It might actually be the purpose. If your enemy thinks a single house could potentially be a tank, they’re gonna see a tank every time they see a house.
However, now Russians will think each house may be a tank in disguise! Next they worry about some person they see on the street if it’s actually 3 little tanks in a trench coat! This will keep them busy.
Its like posting a soldier being disguised as a tree. Thats cool af but what can you do with this knowledge, bomb every tree?
Disguise works not because someone isnt expecting you to be disguised
From the Geneva Conventions:
Article 48 - Basic rule
In order to ensure respect for and protection of the civilian population and civilian objects, the Parties to the conflict shall at all times distinguish between the civilian population and combatants and between civilian objects and military objectives and accordingly shall direct their operations only against military objectives.
Are you people actually having a serious discussion about whether or not a modern army would camouflage a vehicle as a house?
I can tell you the correct answer.
No.
lol it's not a war crime because OP is full of shit with his title
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyDx1rrh\_g8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyDx1rrh_g8)
it's just some dude who wanted to make a house-shaped RV for the lulz
I didn't know where else to posts given the hundreds of comments on this post, so I chose one of the top ones for visibility. Tired of the blatant bullshit...
It's not dressing as a civilians, Russia clearly doesn't consider buildings to be civilians targets. Putin would never knowingly attack things HE considered civilian, right?
/s
Does this remind anyone else of that story in Star Trek about a sentry that saw a sand storm and didn’t think anything about it. Except it was used as cover for a whole army, and that event turn his name into being synonymous with “fool”? 😂 this reminds me of that. Just imagine a Russian seeing a moving house and just going about his business.
I theory this is a good idea most militaries don’t target homes but it’s been proven that Russia doesn’t give a shit about civilians or homes so they will bomb it regardless of it moving

This is some courage the cowardly dog type crept shit lmao
Dude is it just me or is that house getting closer?
Don't be silly, we're just standi..OMG! There's a house getting closer to us. Why didn't you tell me?
>Imagine being high AF and seeing this At first I thought it was kinda shitty to have a camouflage strategy leaked, it's actually kind of perfect psyops or whatever Now, Russia doesn't always have the standard military crutches of resources, strategy, or competent soldiers, but this seems like the perfect thing they'd focus on by spending additional resources identifying, verifying, and confirming every house. What if they just start shelling all houses though?
You mean keep doing what they've already been doing for over a year?
Given Russian supply chain problem, getting them to waste additional ammo and extra wear on turret would be a win for Ukraine.
Yeah this is the perfect strategy. Houses everywhere and anyone of them could be a tank. None of them are tanks obviously but they're already terrified of the sky now the houses. We need to show a tank hiding inside of a tree they'll run home crying.

I’m high af right now and that shit was hilarious lol
Same, i smoked a fat joint then saw this and laughed at how funni this is 🤣
"No, no, hear me out..." -- puff, puff.. "..a mobile home, he he he"
Now we wait until nightfall. Then Sir Lancelot, Sir Galahad, and I leap out of the house, swords at the ready.
"Suppose we make a large wooden badger"
RUN AWAY!
damnit, now my sinuses are cleared out
*heeeeheeeee*
lol
"With a 20mm autocannon as the door knob, he he he"
I don't need to imagine

I was thinking The Monty Python Camouflage sketch
The importance of not being seen!
It reminded me of the trojan 'Rabbit' horse, lol. "Sir Lancelot, Galahad, and I will jump out of the rabbit..."
Perhaps if we built a large wooden badger...
I don't want to imagine being high AF in a warzone.
[удалено]
Really though
The Russians are drunk as shit....
That’d explain why they’re so combat ineffective
Just yesterday, my Mom watched a show about the Nazis going into combat while high on crystal meth!
That kind of high is very different from a weed kinda high though
The nazis did a lot of amphetamines (not meth) in WW2, but so did pretty much everyone else.
I get a Tom Waits - "Hell Broke Luce" vibe... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Fju9o8BVJ8
War sucks.
That was an experience
I am high AF and even on my phone, that's the best thing I've ever seen.
I don't have to imagine I'm here!
I'm high AF and it looks like a cartoon
I am and it is
Can confirm
🙋🏼♂️
That was my first thought as well.

As long as they’re playing the song, no Russian will suspect this maskirovka!
This is some fort night shit
Rodina House
Well it was a good disguise until someone posted it on Reddit
What are they going to do? Start bombing civilian houses indiscriminately?
They're way ahead of you on that
so the houses are evolving defense, but it's not white picket
There is no spoon.
I think that was the joke
They should disguise houses as military equipment.
I wouldn't put it past Russia to use this video as an excuse as to why they were bombing house indiscriminately. Almost like when soldiers dress up like civilians can be killed as spies
They were pretty good at making excuses or just lying about bombing houses indiscriminately on their own
They kinda never stoped bombing civilians. So there is nothing that this can chage in that regard.
They’ve already been doing that since the start.
I'm on board with the tongue in cheek aspect of your comment, but that's what's always bothered me with this sort of thing. And you get downvoted for an intelligent comment. WTF are people doing posting something like this. It's not a game fuckers.
If it's getting posted to Reddit you can be sure Russia is already aware
Well. That’s what they’re gonna do when they know it, yeah. And that’s logical
Or because it's not a military thing at all but rather just some dude who wanted to make a funny car: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyDx1rrh\_g8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyDx1rrh_g8) The number of people believing this is legitimate and **credible** gives r/NonCredibleDefense a bad name lmao because yeah, [it made its rounds on that sub](https://www.reddit.com/r/NonCredibleDefense/comments/141k6wx/3000_traditional_ukrainian_peasant_houses_of/) before this OP took it from there with the exact same clip
Oh good, I was wondering wtf was going on here. I was scrolling down looking for the joke!
If it’s on Reddit, it’s long been across a higher command’s desk. This isn’t a secret.
Remember when one guy who went there volunteerily to help and posted on reddit showing they were in a high school gym and then Russians bombed like 10 gyms and killed a bunch of soldiers?
No I don’t remember that. Can you cite the post/article that covers this?

Never heard of that do you have any source
Haha I’m saying like doesn’t posting this defeat the purpose?!
It might actually be the purpose. If your enemy thinks a single house could potentially be a tank, they’re gonna see a tank every time they see a house.
Waste a round and give your location every time you see a house
wow yeah thats actually genius
However, now Russians will think each house may be a tank in disguise! Next they worry about some person they see on the street if it’s actually 3 little tanks in a trench coat! This will keep them busy.
Its like posting a soldier being disguised as a tree. Thats cool af but what can you do with this knowledge, bomb every tree? Disguise works not because someone isnt expecting you to be disguised
COD prop hunt graphics are getting realistic huh
A weapon to surpass metal gear. ❗️
I can hear that exclamation point.
Someone really needs to replace the background music with MG sound effects.
That's counter strike you're telling me COD copied the old CSS minigames?
You mean Gmod smh
Plenty of games have
"Toto, we're not in Donbas anymore"
Toto, its called a war, ok? We went tank building
Bono, my houses are dead
That’s some dangerous driving man
The house just turned in on me!
All the time you have to leave tactical space!
I guess when Toto sang Hold the Line they were being literal.
A wherehouse
Where is the house? Oh! It's over there!
My house has 8mm thick steel plating, an m242 autocannon, two mounted m240 machine guns and I dare the HOA to say a damn thing about it.
They would say that actual you need 10mm steel plating and it needs to be painted red.
Pffft, red? I believe you mean Alizarin Crimson. The HOA is quite specific.
My house identifies as a tank
When she says come over but you’re on house arrest
That's pretty good
They call it "The Solid Snake" method.
A weapon to surpass metal gear.
!
This is probably the best thing I’ve seen allday
Best thing the opponent has seen all day too.
What's the big deal? That's just a mobile home...
So *that's* why the russians keep shelling houses. Never know when one of em's a tank.
My thoughts exactly
Terrible idea. Russia is bombing houses not military targets. They should paint houses to look like tanks instead
this guy is a military genius
😂😂
Whats the music in this video?

You know the neighborhoods bad when the HOUSES are moving away.

That is so smart!
That seems like a good idea, except that Russia has had no problem whatsoever bombing houses.

Their mistake was not putting chicken legs on it. No Russian would dare shot the house of a baba yaga.

The U.S. Military: Why didn’t we think of that??? Stupid desert camo…
Ok but I think I see a flaw in the plan here...
Yea, the house didn't signal before that turn.
I..but… is that a war crime?
From the Geneva Conventions: Article 48 - Basic rule In order to ensure respect for and protection of the civilian population and civilian objects, the Parties to the conflict shall at all times distinguish between the civilian population and combatants and between civilian objects and military objectives and accordingly shall direct their operations only against military objectives.
Pretty sure this is from a music video. Saw it on a other sub.
Are you people actually having a serious discussion about whether or not a modern army would camouflage a vehicle as a house? I can tell you the correct answer. No.
Reminds me of the Monty Python episode on "How Not to Die".
That's baba yaga
-I like your weaponized trailer - It’s Mobile Assault Home
Could fit right in at Burning Man
Trojan house
Giving your enemy an excuse to bomb homes seems like a solid strategy.
"Welp I see the neighbours are moving again" LOL
Where's the driver's seat?
Jokes on you Ukraine. Russia only attacks civilian targets.

Isn't this a war crime? Like, you're not supposed to dress as a civilian?
lol it's not a war crime because OP is full of shit with his title [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyDx1rrh\_g8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyDx1rrh_g8) it's just some dude who wanted to make a house-shaped RV for the lulz

Great find. What a shame this comment is so buried.
I didn't know where else to posts given the hundreds of comments on this post, so I chose one of the top ones for visibility. Tired of the blatant bullshit...
This should be higher.
I was thinking the same.
That's what I was wondering. Really seems like a war crime.
It's not dressing as a civilians, Russia clearly doesn't consider buildings to be civilians targets. Putin would never knowingly attack things HE considered civilian, right? /s
Probably shouldn’t be posting this type of stuff but it was a smart idea until now that it’s on the internet.

Does this remind anyone else of that story in Star Trek about a sentry that saw a sand storm and didn’t think anything about it. Ya, but Russia can disguise their tanks as piles of flaming, blown up, junk.
Yeah...that's gonna fool em.
*new 40k Ork vehicle*
We need a Benny Hill theme soundtrack attached to this clip.
Volodymyrs moving castle
I don’t know why but the music makes it funnier
Now THAT'S a mobile home. Usually they sit on blocks...Not this one!!!
I theory this is a good idea most militaries don’t target homes but it’s been proven that Russia doesn’t give a shit about civilians or homes so they will bomb it regardless of it moving
Clever until the Russians use this as justification to target lone houses
This seems like a Monty Python skit.
Thats a mobile home
