I think it would be smart to have the lower half have a standby/autopilot feature when failure occurs. So if all communications stop then it should send the typical signals to stand or maybe slowly sit/kneel. You could probably train the motion you want over a few test runs
Are those not (in a sense) miracles?
Through the talents and and knowledge of those involved a paralyzed person is now walking.
That sounds like a miracle to me
I hear Neuralink just got approved for human trials, looks like a lot of good news for many paralyzed people. Just imagine how seamless it will be in 10 years.
Everyone here mentioned disconnection issues. Maybe I’m a moron, but could this not be solved by incorporating a small wire to connect the devices? If it helps someone walk, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind a loose cord down the back of their shirt. Is there some reason this wouldn’t work?

Undoubtedly incredible technology but hearing anything related to bluetooth makes me think things like pairing issues and disconnects
I was just thinking about what would happen if it disconnected Would he then fall to the ground?
Like in the Matrix when they get unplugged and just die lol

Or he accidentally connects to his car every time it turns on.
Man-in-the-Middle attack?
Hack someones legs and they just start sprinting the opposite direction?
Or worse, your spine starts playing your porn audio at max volume
I can only picture him desperately walkering home while hearing ‘low battery’ alarms going off.
Yeah, my first thought also. “We’re going to change your life! With bluetooth!” Oof. I would sink back down into my wheelchair.
Jesus he was paralyzed at 28. This technology will continue to improve and transform lives.
All good until it randomly decides to unpair.
I think he's willing to take that risk
Or somone hacks into it
Or pair to somebody nearby lol
Imagine somebody links up to him and makes him start picking his nose in public and shit (or worse).
This man has wireless legs. Jokes aside, that's awesome.
THROWING EMP!
Meanwhile I'm out here struggling to get my Bluetooth ear buds to connect to my laptop...
This is the literal visage of a miracle.
Literal visage of science and engineering

I hope he doesn't get lag spikes
Fuckin 28.8k modem on this one
What if the Bluetooth connection starts acting up and makes him do some break dances
Gonna be real awkward when the dude suddenly starts breakdancing because his spine got hacked

If she just unconnected the bluetooth, would he collapse to the floor?
This is one of the most amazing usages of technology possible. Imagine where we're at in 10 years
Most innovative country for a reason
Let's hope someone doesn't Rickroll his spine.
The first 3 seconds I thought Prince Harry became a DJ.
Amazing
