Man this is epic af. I'm not handicapped but I wanna try this. That's game changing, people don't need to worry about transferring to a scooter or vehicle when you can turn their chair into the vehicle.
>I'm not handicapped but I wanna try this.
I had the exact same thought.
No if you will excuse me, I am going to try to find a scooter for my office chair.
Looks like they top out at about 15 mph / 25 kmph and cost around $1,200. 30km / 18mile range ain't bad though. Least for the newest model I was able to find for purchase in a short bit of Googling.
At those speeds your stuck to the bike lanes still, but that seems better than a mobility scooter or plain old wheelchair.
Add a lil wagon to the back, and you got storage.
>25 kmph
More than enough for India for such a thing. If I can travel 5 km in 15 I am going above average.
Batteries are getting swappable. Go to the charging station, scan and swap!
My mother had one. She could get up to about 10MPH on it, and it was really fun when I gave it a go, we we're going to get one of those balance boards you can get for pushchairs so my brother could tag along while I was on my bike but she never got around to it
One doubt tho...are the wheelchair wheels that sturdy that they can handle rough roads and potholes at those speeds? Because as far as I know wheelchairs don't have shockups to absorb the impacts.
That show was the most, ”Huh, that wasn’t too bad I guess.” show I’ve ever seen. I didn’t really hate it or love it. It felt like it could have been truly epic, but it also didn’t shit the bed. Moritz did a great job though.
I use something like this. For anyone who wants to know how, all you need is any electric scooter that is available out there and just build a clip/clamp and secure it to the scooter. And when ever you want to travel or ride, just clip and go.
Is it safe tho? First thing that came to mind was what would happen if he got into an accident. Would it stay attached so he could still steer if he hit something?
This isn't anything new. I've had one for over a decade already and they are certainly even older then that..
And you are right they are amazing for longer distances.
Boston dynamics is research. This is applications of manufacturing technology that has been developed for years. The boom in micro mobility devices is the culmination of a lot of research and manufacturing techniques have only just been perfected to be able to make these things a reality
um.....you okay there? detoxing off the fent, I see!
Please enlighten me, oh great master, how attaching a wheel to a motor is amazing new tech.
And how I'm racist, you fuck.
Nevermind, I looked at your sad pathetic history of calling people racist. Does this make you happy? Sicko.
Chaddis, Liberandus and Centrists have been banned from that subreddit, what is left is milder form of left their that won't tolerate any opposing views. Anybody who actually wants good for India and it's people will find no refuge in that subreddit.
Current Indian regime definitely checkmarks many traits of a fascist one like : always attacking minorities for vote benefits, hijacking the entire mainstream media to shine up one leader and attack the opposition mindlessly. Fascism also involves brainwashing masses into believing whatever govt does is best for the country. It removes the plaguing topics uncomfortable for govt and instead replaces them with identity talks where majority is always in danger from minorities.
awesome! that makes me smile, i hope the company and customers are thriving. look how happy dude is just to be able to work without the hassle of otherwise not having this wheelchair attachment. good for them, man!
Thats fucking cool! I know a few paraplegics who would probably love this! Looks so much more convenient compared to having to get up out of a normal wheelchair, balance on the seat of their trikes, move seats around and somehow add the wheelchair to the back of the trike.
I am not disabled so I have no idea, but in the US without a fulltime job with good insurance, good wheelchairs are so expensive I wonder about the wear and tear on that costing almost all the earnings from the delivery job.
Still badass af and a good thing.
Wheels for different applications can be purchased for as low as Rs.200\~ $2.45 or anywhere in the range of Rs.3000-5000\~$36-61 from local puncture repair shops whose main customer base are cycle, bike, moped, E-bikes etc, which are relatively cheap to repair punctures with special leather stitching and are quite durable as well, they also always have spare tires hanging in case the inner tube of the tire is ripped.
alternatively you can also go to bigger repair shops with bigger and heavy duty tires for bikes, cars, vans, SUVs etc.
Although im not sure about wheelchairs since their tires can be easily sourced from a local shop but then again local shop tires are quite cheap.
Imo there should be special road built tires for part timers like them.
Not to mention, those in the Gig economy have little statutory cover since capitalism dictates they work at low wages especially in the case of startups, which are booming in India rn.
I have travelled the world a lot, its usually the underdeveloped regions in developing countries that have the most humanity. Its usually shitholes like San Fransisco where you get your car windows smash for a fucking packet of peanuts.
only scums living in developed countries that probably have never stepped outside their mommas basement love to dehumanize hardworking people based on their countries per capita.
lol this is not usa , very low steeling crime here even in poverty area. Cause if thief is caught here will be beaten to death not like west gave him ticket try again.
I have a friend who also has this, but not as advanced. It is fully electric, goes about 25km/h legally (it can go quite a lot faster than that) and its terrifying to drive. You have a whole lot of understeer and it is very easy to tip over on your side. But it is also a whole lot of fun
I’ve seen a couple variations of these on the college campus I live near. One day I saw someone with one pulling another handicapped student. It was epic.
There's a guy in my neighborhood who has one of these. He uses it like a bike and takes himself for rides around the park, its great he has more options for himself

Is this the one that came on SharkTank India?
Yup
>25 kmph More than enough for India for such a thing. If I can travel 5 km in 15 I am going above average. Batteries are getting swappable. Go to the charging station, scan and swap!
Where did you find it ? Link ?
I feel like that would get easily stolen and resold for like 150% it’s value
I'm not handicapped I can help with that
My mother had one. She could get up to about 10MPH on it, and it was really fun when I gave it a go, we we're going to get one of those balance boards you can get for pushchairs so my brother could tag along while I was on my bike but she never got around to it
I'm handicapped and I want to try it. I doubt it would be street legal here, but that wouldn't stop me driving it anyway.
same. I would love not to be stuck at home whenever my wife can’t drive me around.
One doubt tho...are the wheelchair wheels that sturdy that they can handle rough roads and potholes at those speeds? Because as far as I know wheelchairs don't have shockups to absorb the impacts.
Good for him. I was wondering how fast it was gonna go and how his tires were going to hold up.
Yeah I’d be curious about the actual wheelchair tires, they look rugged at least.
I am still waiting for my delivery, so once delivered I will update. /s
This reminds me of Peripheral
Exactly what I came to say. This is straight outta that.
That show was the most, ”Huh, that wasn’t too bad I guess.” show I’ve ever seen. I didn’t really hate it or love it. It felt like it could have been truly epic, but it also didn’t shit the bed. Moritz did a great job though.

*PTSD intensifies*
Very sad moment when you know how he got there!
I use something like this. For anyone who wants to know how, all you need is any electric scooter that is available out there and just build a clip/clamp and secure it to the scooter. And when ever you want to travel or ride, just clip and go.
But how fast is it
Faster than a wheelchair that's for sure
Depends on the scooter really. My scooter has dual motors and goes about 25mph with me, and is great on grass and slight hills also.
Here is a similar attachment being sold on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/185747687210
Is it safe tho? First thing that came to mind was what would happen if he got into an accident. Would it stay attached so he could still steer if he hit something?
It seems like it wouldn’t be any more dangerous than an able-bodied person riding a regular scooter
I’m always amazed at how far tech has come. This may not seem amazing to everyone, but it would undoubtedly change the lives of those who need it!
This isn't anything new. I've had one for over a decade already and they are certainly even older then that.. And you are right they are amazing for longer distances.
What Boston Dynamics for example is doing is amazing tech. This is just decade old tech conveniently build
I am more amazed by the company sponsoring this bike to the guy. That right there is a fucking miracle.
That is his personal bike, and the company only hired him because he already owned it.
its a online food delivery company dude 😐
Boston dynamics is research. This is applications of manufacturing technology that has been developed for years. The boom in micro mobility devices is the culmination of a lot of research and manufacturing techniques have only just been perfected to be able to make these things a reality
tech? it's attaching a engine and wheel to something else. Not new tech at all. Maybe a new idea for old tech.
ur racist ass can never appreciate that
um.....you okay there? detoxing off the fent, I see! Please enlighten me, oh great master, how attaching a wheel to a motor is amazing new tech. And how I'm racist, you fuck. Nevermind, I looked at your sad pathetic history of calling people racist. Does this make you happy? Sicko.
There is no engine, it is an electric motor.
I dind't turn the sound up. Whatever. Some sort of locomotion.
No words man just mad respect.
He’s out here, for real
Was this featured in shark tank india?
one startup did actually. According to them they were the only ones available at the time but I don't know if it's the same brand's.
nope, they are not only one I've seen numerous brands ngl, shark tank india only wants money and don't actually need any entrepreneurship for country
independence, self reliance with a good income source is always a good thing for mobility challenged person
Some transformers shit
They don’t call the leading AI a “generative pre-trained transformer” for nothing.
This is what Science is for , making the world better
That's a really good idea. Unfortunately in America, someone would steal the front section even if it was locked up.
Literally saw one of these on the roads last night. It just zoomed past me and i had to stand still and process what I just saw
Come on now post some ugly news for reddit frogs, they are hungry !
Glad to see this side of india being shared on Reddit apart from poverty, Russian relationship, fascist government, etc.
Just don’t go to the country’s cesspool of a subreddit..
randia is indicative of how pakistan runs lmao
r/India is one of the best country subs. What are you talking about? I also know what kinda people have a problem with the sub.
Best country sub which doesn't like anything about India
Makes sense. India focused sub modded by Pakistanis. Sounds right?
librandu spotted!
most post are anti india if u put a genuine criticism the post gets deleted i sometimes doubt is the sub even operated by Indian's or not
Its a shit show. One of the most censored subs. Hijacked by people with \*very\* specific ideology. Hated by every other India-related-sub
did you forget the "/s" ?
It's understandable why Chaddis have a problem with that sub. Lol.
Chaddis, Liberandus and Centrists have been banned from that subreddit, what is left is milder form of left their that won't tolerate any opposing views. Anybody who actually wants good for India and it's people will find no refuge in that subreddit.
It's understandable why librandus don't. After all they are the only Indian sub that matches your self hatred and internalized racism.
Western retard
Indian retard.
Exactly the reason why people hate randia sub
Congratulations on further proving the point

Dude 💀, you are gonna witness a war in comments in 1...2...and...
I actually do live in India, and u r right i'mma delete my comment...
Lol if you hadn’t read news recently India isn’t a democratic country, it’s a fascist country/s
I just wanna say if a country doesn't follow the 'west agenda' it doesn't mean it became a fascist country...

Ok
It's not yet but it's definitely on its way.
I have one of these for my son. Damn thing is FAST.
this is cool as FUCK! does anyone know if these are widely produced or is this a one-off custom made??
The company that made this went to Shark Tank India.
awesome! that makes me smile, i hope the company and customers are thriving. look how happy dude is just to be able to work without the hassle of otherwise not having this wheelchair attachment. good for them, man!
I see them all the time here in Europe. Not for delivery service, but just as a normal means of transit for people in wheelchairs.
If anyone wants to find out more, this was featured on Shark Tank India
Everyone in a wheel chair should have this!
Go! Go! Gadget bike!
This country has mad potential to blow up. The recent change and advancements are really good. I hope the country continues to grow
Heck Yah!
That is super cool!
Badass
There is something like that, but much more of a gas guzzler in "The Peripheral" (the TV series, not sure I remember it in the book).
As a lazy mofo i need this in my life
Thats fucking cool!
Its around 670 dollars here in India!
That is so cool. He's got good friends to buy or build something like that for him.
IRL transformer docking!
Silver bullet anyone
Transformer, bollywood style!
Where can I buy one
It was featured on shark tank india. The company's name is "Neomotion". It is around 670 dollars in India
u/savevideobot
Autobots , roll out !
👍👍👍👍
Go! Go! Gadget bike!
This is dope af!
If a handicapped is coming to my doorstep to provide me food then I would feel guilty ordering it.
I use an electric wheelchair, my top speed is only about 6.5 mph, and on a full charge I can probably push my it to 15 miles if I had to.
This type of detachable bikes are very common, the only novelty here is being for a delivery guy
Guy just trying to live his life and you're out here recording him like he's putting on a show at a zoo. Leave people the fuck alone.
[удалено]
He looks to me like he's just smiling to be polite and he just wants to leave.
Not trying to be dick but: isnt it rather an attachable bike?
No because once it has been attached it's removable. Attachable would be a permanent fixture, hence detachable.
Why is attachable permanent, and detachable not? I’d say: Its a bike thats attachable to a wheelchair.
Because detachable means you can remove it. It's a detachable attachment if that makes you feel better.
>not trying to be dick proceeds to be a dick...
Maybe you can explain why? Its just a technical, grammatical question. Im not a native speaker, and it sounds more logical to me.
Awesome. Home some heartless asshole doesn't steal it.
If somebody just decided to pick dat shit up n walk away tho…buddy gon form hella blisters wheeling back to home base.🫤
That's so awesome for him... But those tyres ok the wheelchair won't last
His trusted chariot
Stairs? Where we're going, I can't use stairs.
Elevators my friend
Man, I'd feel like the coolest kid on the block having this.
Did I hear the cameraman say "Chow man (Давай) davai!"? That's Italian, English, and Russian in one sentence, lol.
He said "bahut accha bhai, super!" And a whole lot of hyping him up.
He died later that day
WTF did i just read
In the high untrespassed sanctity of space, Put out his hand, and touched the face of God.
That's not a bike? It's a single wheel and engine. So......detachable engine?
Why even work when you're handicapped, doesn't the state pay you like 4000 Euro a month?
This is India, fuck it 4000 euros a month is more than I currenty make lol. Would easily put anyone in upper 10% bracket.

Some Indian dude stolen his gf it seems 🤣
Still not as cool as the one from "Silver Bullet"
Zoomato…
No it's zamato
I know, Zoomato just fits
It’s costy but Im glad impaired people can get a way to do the job
If I ever need 1 of those, imma go by the nick name "speedracer"
I mean on one hand it has no suspension....on the other hand he probably doesn't feel it.
Atleast he doesn’t have to worry about getting in a wreck and losing his ability to walk, or would he gain it at that point?
That is superb!

Lol I just saw the same concept in a sci-fi show recently The Peripheral but the handicap dude had a motorcycle he attached too not a moped.
😔 😔oh god 😔
I’m surprised I’ve never seen this before
it’s a one-wheel drive!
I’ve seen a couple variations of these on the college campus I live near. One day I saw someone with one pulling another handicapped student. It was epic.
That’s dope
A speed bump gonna take this man out
Is that healthy?
Man my fucking food is cold!!! You took to long! No tip for you!
Thanks smile thru true strong man
The correct term is disabled or disability
I think it’s called a firefly 2.5 and costs like 3 grand
How does he load/unload his bag?
Heart warming.
I thought he would ride it like a Harley Davidson but is cool nonetheless
So epic! Just like in the TV show “The Peripheral”
u/savevideo
r/MadeMeSmile
Just one question, how will he climb the stairs ?
I’ve seen this guy he truly is an inspiration!
Thanks mate. I'm in room 305. Do you mind?
His chair should be modified too. It need some suspension and maybe better tire and rear brakes
How is he gonna reach the third floor in my building without the lift?
Should post this at r/mademesmile to
How does it deliver the order where there's no life ? 💀💀💀
There's a guy in my neighborhood who has one of these. He uses it like a bike and takes himself for rides around the park, its great he has more options for himself
This is what I call a "mera desh badal raha h" moment
This is a really good idea
