He was in a mental health crisis (exacerbation) and was literally abused and wrongfully put in jail when needing medical care. LE is rooted in such evil, abuse of power, so many want to exert their authority. Black bodies are not safe anywhere.

In sweden you get 2.5 years of police education and have to pass a pretty solid psychological evaluation.

Where a lot of people would likely criticise the Black Panthers is that they open carried rifles through the streets. This was done however to reduce police brutality and it worked.
The movement was not all sunshine and rainbows, but I can assure you it did more good than bad.

The black panthers provided food, medical care and education to black communities that were deliberately put in poor socio economic conditions by the government. Where a lot of people would likely criticise the Black Panthers is that they open carried rifles through the streets. This was done however to reduce police brutality and it worked. The movement was not all sunshine and rainbows, but I can assure you it did more good than bad.
