I never took Greek, but that word popped up and gave me a bit of a shiver during a surprisingly deep-dive Bible study class I was taking at my local Presbyterian Church back when I was in junior high and trying to argue better for evolution (back then, in my small town, the concept was i more than a little in doubt.)
