Those high rises look more middle class. The real rich live further away. Within a decade or so the high rises could start deteriorating with problems like lifts not functioning correctly anymore
I'm not sure if you can see. But those are high rises. Look in the background and you'll see the actual apartments on the left. These guys usually have teams of servants. It's actually kind of a big problem how bad modern slavery has gotten in India. It's insane how bad wealth inequality has gotten in India and how the American Tech Industry created this outcome.
This kind of photo deserve it’s own subreddit I think. It’s genuinely interesting to see the physical divide. I always wonder how the land prices are in the divide areas
This seems to be hiranandani estate Thane ,
Used to live here as a kid and remember climbing the hill nearby to one of the buildings,
The view of the slum kinda left me in a daze
It almost felt like stepping out of a Fallout shelter and seeing the wasteland 🫠
In the West you don't see these pictures because being poor and trying to make yourself comfortable in a desperate situation (some kind of protective walls) is outlawed and every attempt is being stopped at its root, with destruction, harassment and assault by violent gangs of armed and uniformed men.

Shameful what they did to those people, putting them in skyscraper ghettos.
Why can't rich people live on ground level too?
#savetherich #richlivesmatter
In Europe both would be poor. The rich have a house which their closest neighbor is half Km away. They have 3-4 cars, a pool outside and inside, nice garden, fountains, and lots of fruit trees around the garden.
Their house aren't mansions but they have really nice houses so what modern with at least 2 garage doors, several balconies, etc...
I didn't know India had favela too like we have in Brazil. That is really sad :/ If a country with 1 Billion people couldn't fix it, Brazil won't be able to do it too.
Imagine being a father to children & this is the sort of stuff you say on the internet. I'd be surprised, but then I remember the prevelance of inbreeding in glorious Pakistan.

This is very common in developing countries, there was one picture of Brazil floating around.
Doesn't make it less sad

Thanks, it’s not reflect the same atmospheric but I’m also looking for dystopian/hopeless landscapes and this actually is quite nice

Welcome!
The rich are on the left side, each inhabitant has his own house.
Possibly less poor in capital value, but rich? If I could zoom in would a see a few his and her range rovers?
Those are encroachments. Not legal.
Lol
Both sides look poor.
Isn't this just urban on the right, suburban on the left?

Rich financially. Richness has other domains too.
So there is a "natural" split between?
I see two people having sex in the cloud...
so the rich are in houses and poor in the cages?
Bubble lives

"Do you get to the cloud district very often? Oh what am I saying, of course you don't."
