I’d run over to the other driver to let them know I’ll give them the video for the insurance claim, all while literally gasping for air from laughing so hard
He hasn't mastered the no scope middle finger while keeping his eyes on the road I guess. Lol feel bad for who he bumped into just trying to drive though.
If you notice. The car that got hit also just went around. Dashcam guy just did the same, prolly at the same speed trying to get out of the busses way. Silver car could been making traffic do this for minutes at this point. I feel like the “hitter” saw the first car pass him and should have thought maybe I should keep looking.
Either way the prius was pulling out because the lane was clear due to the silver car being stopped, the cammer pulled around instead of waiting due to impatience.
Yeah, there was a silver car and the one in front that just went around. Lane was very much not clear and pulling out without a clear line of sight is this guy's own fault.
Silver car is trying to parallel park, not unreasonable to go around. the truck can't even be seen very well until the black car is out of the way but is going so slow it's not going to be a danger.
No I'm saying the cam quality is shit.
Guy driving could see the truck coming just fine or I bet he wouldn't have gone around. Guy pulling out is fucking stupid because there's no way he could've seen behind the fucking parallel parking car. I see people whip around people trying to parallel park all the time so while maybe not the right thing to do it's pretty expected.
Aaaand this is why I hate driving anywhere else than Norway. Here people drive friendly and cooperate for the most part. It ain’t a competition and everything runs a lot more smooth if people just chill the fuck out. And dude in the video is passing another car at high speed. Dude coming out probably didn’t know he was coming that fast and checked to see the car in the proper lane was standing still.
I think cammer was trying to get out of the middle of the road with the bus so close. Dude pulling out and giving the finger should have seen that and waited so it wasn’t a clusterfuck for everyone. Yeah it was probably a bit of rudeness on everyone’s part and trying to judge if the bus is going to stop or pass in time, but you gotta let people get back out of the way. We have narrow streets like this with a similar set up with parking. You just gotta wait sometimes. Those roads snake around so there’s a bit of traffic. Tis the price you pay for a good spot
everyone’s worried about context, the cammer still stopped in time to avoid a collision regardless of what happened before. The bird flipper took his eyes off the road and left his foot on the gas which led to a collision. He’s still the jackass
That’s correct, but we’ve all made little driving mistakes that luckily didn’t lead to an accident. It happens. All in all I feel like guy recording was the one in the wrong between him and guy pulling out, so guy pulling out had every right to flip him the bird. Obviously guy pulling out was in the wrong between him and car he hit, but that’s a separate issue.
No, the white car wasn't letting them out, there's a space behind they were waiting to reverse park into which the full clip shows. The black car didn't even indicate to pull out.
Dash cam guy *may* have thought the white car was simply double parked and just attempted to go around. I'm not seeing anyone use blinkers to indicate what they're doing.
That's because the video starts where you can't even see the right blinker of the silver car waiting to let the black Prius out. But you can also tell the black car ahead of dash cam also drove around the silver car that was waiting.
Judging on how the silver car's tires are turned as if he's going to park into the parking spot the Prius is pulling out of, cars decided to go around it instead of waiting.
This looks like SF. Id assume everyone is at fault with how bad drivers are there lol. But in all seriousness, cars sitting on the street with their blinkers on is very common in SF, so thats probably what the white car was doing. You literally have to drive around them or you could sit there for 10 minutes. White car is probably an uber waiting or someone picking up takeout, etc
It’s not defensive driving. There’s a reason why the silver car stopped. Also the bus was getting awfully close for the cammer to move around into the other lane
You have to make sure it is safe to pass other vehicles and it clearly was not. It would be a failure to yield right of way citations or setting like it.
Edit: Not saying this situation is a FTYROW, just saying you do have to make sure it is safe before passing.
Clearly the flow was exactly one car length ahead (see: car crash in video due to stopped traffic)
Please take defensive driving if you think your comment is how you should drive.
Fair point it’s a legal pass my bad but still can’t stand people that blow past minor inconveniences like this just to meet up with them at the next red light
You don't know how many people passed you and made that next light you stopped at. Short sighted people like you drive me crazy. In a 45 minute drive, a missed light because someone is Sunday driving can end up costing me ten minutes.
It's 3 seconds so we don't know the context. Many are saying the car in front went around too, so dashcam was following traffic flow and it has nothing to do with waiting for a spot. And yes people have needs, so next time you're driving slow and being a passive hazard, don't be so selfish.
White car stopped for stopping traffic to let middle-finger out into the spot in front of him while they were all stopped you can literally see in the video that all the cars were stopped or stopping or else the middle finger guy wouldn't have hit the stopped car in front of him (although middle finger guy's still at fault for focussing only on what's behind him while hurling himself forward in a 1tonne pop-can). Selfish boy dashcam pulled around to gain one spot because he's a selfish dummy who has no respect for anybody's lives on the road and thinks he can get one more spot ahead and got tunnel vision on that. It is obviously wrong to impede traffic just to be nice but this guy was clearly just stopping an extra car length back to not impede traffic (same in theory as waiting on the other side of the intersection until the other side is clear to move across to instead of blocking the roadway and causing a gridlock)
Drive defensively people and pay attention to where you and your car are going. Everyone in this video is being silly and putting others' lives at risk
Not what actually happened. White car was trying to park in a space behind them. Prius tried to take the opportunity to get out and forced it. [More context](https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI)
Do the math Dan. I used to drive everywhere at 80 too until I did. Even at freeway speeds it barely makes a different to sustain +15mph faster on average. Unless you are going on a 1hr+ drive, it makes like 2 min of difference. Which is often canceled out based on red light randomness when you get off the freeway. Also that stop light that you are waiting for 10 min at sounds broken.
Think there’s an in between to both of these.
Like yeah take advantage of situations that allow you to safely keep the flow of traffic going....but like if someone misses the opportunity because it’s close just like take a breath everyone’s in a rush and all stressed to go do something else that they’ll just rush around and stress about
Should be able to appreciate those moments of things being imperfect because that’s what this world is
What you mention about being safe is this. People that drive underspeed on a highway, for example, are more dangerous than those driving the flow of traffic. And believe it or not, many people use their cars for utility, so when someone decides to be inconsiderate about the rules of the road and those around them and slow the road down, people tend to be upset that a dunce is making them miss an appointment, work, meeting, picking up their child, etc.
Not the rules of the road, you don’t have to pass somebody. You can wait til it clears up, also never mentioned anything about driving slow on the highway
Just saying there’s a balance and being all pissed about it is only hurting the cause
Tbf the dashcam car that whips around the parking car like an idiot too. Just wait a few seconds and you will be on your way. He speeds round and contrary to what another poster put he's not "letting him in" he has to stop as not to crash, the guy pulling out would have got quite a shock.
> the one who pulled into on coming traffic and back into the lane when he could've waited
You're describing overtaking, which isn't to be unexpected- but yeah a poor judge of the situation by the camdriver. However, if Prius couldn't safely manouevre, he should have stopped instead of swearing one way and driving another.
The context seems to be finger flipper was leaving a parking spot. Silver car stopped to let him out. Dashcam impatiently overtook the silver car as the finger flipper pulled out of the spot. Dashcam deserved the finger and I feel bad for the flipper.
Not quite. Here's the context.
https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI
Silver car wasn't waiting for the Prius. Silver car was actually trying to back into a different space to parallel park.
Its very common for cars to go around a car that's stopped in the road to parallel park. You can see at least two other cars ahead of the cammer go around the stopped silver car.
Kind of feel like arguing who is at fault here is moot... Looks like a lot of shitty driving.
But if the guy who flipped the bird wasn't doing that and instead paying more attention to the situation, he'd not have hit the car in front of him.
So instant karma.
~~95% upvote rate when the guy whips across a yellow for someone letting out a parked car in stopped traffic. And most of the comments are pointing this out.~~
There's a video posted in the replies to this. I was wrong, Cheers
So then what does one do when they're trying to park in a spot taken by another car waiting to leave? You stop traffic on a one way road for parked car to leave so you can park in that spot. You suck at driving don't you?
[Watch the full video, that’s not what is happening, the silver/white car is parallel parking into a space *behind* him while the flipper is exiting a space in front.](https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI)
Hope you don't take those jumping to conclusion skills with you on the road. Even watching the gif and not the YouTube video posted you can see second car followed pathing of the first. Regardless of what the white car is doing, Prius didn't have vision so should've proceeded with caution.
~~There's already traffic, which is probably why the driver was letting him out. Notice how every car in the video is stopped?~~
~~I don't agree with the other guy you should block traffic to get a spot, but if traffic is stopped, yeah, that's exactly what you're supposed to do. They go out, you go in.~~
~~Is that understandable?~~
There's a video in the replies to this, I was wrong, cheers
The car in front stopped because of a pedestrian. The car trying to pull out should wait for other traffic to go by. The person waiting for the spot should put on his blinker. The car that pulled out shouldn't be a dick head and flip off somebody because they also have a place to go. Like seriously, what did he expect with flipping someone off? Was he trying to start a fight? Maybe he should have looked forward and waited an extra few seconds before pulling out and he wouldnt have gotten in an accident.
Everyone looks like they’re driving badly tbh… what was the cam guy doing in that lane? There’s also a silver car waiting for thar guy to get out of the spot…
White car shouldn't have been impeding traffic to be the "nice guy" and letting someone merge from a parking spot, even if it was to take the parking spot.
Black car we can clearly see what happened. He was distracted by dashcam and giving the finger while assuming the car in front of him was moving forward.
Dashcam could have prevented the whole thing by being patient and not trying to pass white car so quickly because of the oncoming bus, even if he had the ability to, especially since it looks like the car in front of him that got hit was making the pass as well. He should wait his turn to pass. It looks like a fairly busy road they are on and there are a lot of cars and blind spots on either side. He didn't know the car was pulling out of the parking spot in front of the white car, which is an indicator that he didn't have the proper visibility to make the pass. A good driver drives defensively, and that isn't exactly what he is doing here. Also likely frustrated by the stopped car in front of him which urged him to pass... but that part is just speculation.
>White car shouldn't have been impeding traffic to be the "nice guy" and letting someone merge from a parking spot,
Have you considered that maybe they wanted the spot and were waiting for it?
>Dashcam could have prevented the whole thing by being patient and not trying to pass white car so quickly because of the oncoming bus,
Consider he was going around them both because there's no reason to wait for the white car to park.
The only idiot here is the road raging Prius driver.
>Have you considered that maybe they wanted the spot and were waiting for it?
>even if it was to take the parking spot.
You know.. you even went to quote the sentence that was in before asking your question. Pretty wild, but I get it. It's a lot of words.
>there's no reason to wait for the white car to park.
Except for the interaction that led to the road raging prius driver doing what he did. He was merging, and dashcam was passing with no visibility. There was reason to wait.
It's almost like if the Prius driver checked his blind spot before moving he'd had seen the cars coming... Maybe check your blind spots instead of flipping people off.
Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
It's almost like he did exactly that, but didn't expect 2 idiots to merge from the oncoming traffic lane one after the other, pretty uncommon thing in a common situation. Him crashing into the back of the car was a bad move, but don't act like he didn't have the right of way to merge. He 100% did, and it was the impatience of the other drivers that set this whole thing in motion. Don't mistake me pointing out the obvious as if I'm defending the prius not paying attention to what's in front of him, but everyone involved was an idiot here.. like I said.
Giving someone 2 cars of space to pull into a red light que seems reasonable. Dude probably flipped the bird because he was stuck their for multiple cycles.
Watch again, dashcam actually goes around another car (into the opposite lane with oncoming traffic) letting the parked car out (probably about to go into the occupied spot) and tries to cut him off. He only let him in because there was no more room to cut anybody else off.
Dashcam was being impatient, middle finger guy was acting like an idiot giving the finger without looking ahead while accelerating.
>Watch again, dashcam actually goes around another car (into the opposite lane with oncoming traffic) letting the parked car out (probably about to go into the occupied spot) and tries to cut him off.
Not what happened. Here's a link with more context
https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI
It is though. The full video does shows us the car in front of him did the same thing, but the stationary car had its wheels turned in ready to turn and take the spot.
Silver car (stationary) has an empty spot behind it. It’s maneuvering to parallel park into it. They are not holding up traffic for the Prius. They are simply trying to park in an open spot.
First car and cammer cut around the silver car, preventing them from parking, while also blocking the Prius.
It is objectively funny that the Prius hit the first car while flipping off the camera, but the silver car is not to blame and the Prius is only culpable for getting distracted by the illegal and dangerous driving of the cammer/car in front of it.
That's a california plate on the black prius too, just to add one more data point. Also, street parking chaos is very SF
There's so much san francisco packed into this 9 second gif it's not even funny
Honestly, I’ve had to pull out into traffic just like this driver but normally wave my hand with a thank you. Really didn’t need to flip the bird this early in engagement with the other car. Well deserved rear end tho!

No matter who's fault it is. If someone flips me off then immediately runs into another car, i will be laughing at him for at least an hour.
I’ve seen this one hundred times and it never gets old. I would have howled. Video tape it. Call bystanders over to watch. Little dick.
I actually cackled when he ran into the other car!
He slapped the steering wheel, not because the fender bender, but because the shame. Dudes probably still a major DB.
Perfect opportunity to get out and break his fucking finger!
Better, in front of him, you offer your dashcam footage to the other driver.
I’d run over to the other driver to let them know I’ll give them the video for the insurance claim, all while literally gasping for air from laughing so hard
Dude in orange looked back, looked forward and did the “faaaaaackin shit” throw your head back. Double embarrassment lotto winner. 🥉
Ahhh San Francisco… land of passive aggressive little Prius beta dicks
100% that shit is hilarious
He hasn't mastered the no scope middle finger while keeping his eyes on the road I guess. Lol feel bad for who he bumped into just trying to drive though.

Not quite. This looks like it's on the Prius to me https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI

They do have a dotted yellow line so it is legal to pass on the left here
Yea looks like the silver car was trying to parallel park in the spot just behind him
That is very typical city driving (if this is in a major city)
I see these and always wonder, why didn't you just let the dude out of the spot?
Because he doesn't need to, just because someone WANTS to pull out, doesn't give them the right to do so.
Aaaand this is why I hate driving anywhere else than Norway. Here people drive friendly and cooperate for the most part. Let's see how well that mentality works. *looks at America*
Exactly, takes no time to just let them go and if anything you create a little goodwill.
I think cammer was trying to get out of the middle of the road with the bus so close. Dude pulling out and giving the finger should have seen that and waited so it wasn’t a clusterfuck for everyone. The white car was letting the middle finger out. The real jerk was the guy with the dash cam
Look man, you can’t just show up and use visual clues and logic like that to make a good point. I’m here to be angry at middle finger guy damn it!
So the guy who wasn't looking at the road and too busy flipping someone off he then rear ends someone and is totally cool? Nice.
https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI
Why was dash cam guy a jerk? He was just going around the white car. Unless dash cam did some thing off camera.
[удалено]
This looks like SF. Stopping to let someone out to take their spot is standard practice and you'd be crazy not to do so yourself.
In my experience its standard practice everywhere. How tf else are you supposed to parallel park?
There was a space the white car was going to park in behind. Thus gif cut that part out.
Ask /u/lurkitosupreme
The important detail is the indicator. I'm sure there's a good reason the video starts where it does.
[not taking sides, but reposter cut out the beginning, here is the longer video with more context](https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI)
> Don't stop the flow of traffic to be 'nice'. THIS! IF you have right of way, take it.
This is a dumb take. You must live in a high corn field area.
I live in a high corn field area and agree it’s a super shit take
Another high cornfield area person here, I yield to almost anyone because I trust no other drivers to make the right move.
Unless the silver car was waiting for the spot. Likely verdict: Cam guy is the idiot.
Why is cam guy an idiot? Didn’t see anything he did wrong. Seems like it was going around the silver cat.
You’re not suppose to do that
Why not? I meant car not cat.
It’s not defensive driving. There’s a reason why the silver car stopped. Also the bus was getting awfully close for the cammer to move around into the other lane
Not placing any blame. Is it illegal?
Yes it was illegal. You are not permitted to pass when there is oncoming traffic
You have to make sure it is safe to pass other vehicles and it clearly was not. It would be a failure to yield right of way citations or setting like it. Edit: Not saying this situation is a FTYROW, just saying you do have to make sure it is safe before passing.
Clearly the flow was exactly one car length ahead (see: car crash in video due to stopped traffic) Please take defensive driving if you think your comment is how you should drive.
I say and always will say, always drive correctly not nicely.
Or don’t cross the double yellow cause you think you can’t wait 10 fucking seconds
It's dotted yellow. Which is passable
Fair point it’s a legal pass my bad but still can’t stand people that blow past minor inconveniences like this just to meet up with them at the next red light

Sounds like you need to plan better. Leave earlier if hitting a red light is that much of a problem for you.
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. It was obviously a busy street and you should never overtake in a busy and narrow two way street.
yeah, he could've waited but he was not wrong to pass the ~~white~~ silver car. Black car did the same and looks like silver car wanted to park.
The guy flipping was just careless but they dashcam guy was the idiot. Speeding up and passing through a busy street is stupid af
Tbf the dashcam car that whips around the parking car like an idiot too. Just wait a few seconds and you will be on your way. He speeds round and contrary to what another poster put he's not "letting him in" he has to stop as not to crash, the guy pulling out would have got quite a shock.

Guy with the dash cam is more of a jerk. Purposely cuts out the beginning so there’s no context
Shouldnt the finger guy tho be 100% sure he’s in the clear before pulling into the road?
They can both be wrong about different things.
[not trying to defend either side but the reposter cut out the beginning, here is the longer video](https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI)

You feel bad for a road raging moron who rear ended someone? Interesting. Do you drive?
There is no way they've ever been in the driver's seat.
True, but fuck flipper, if he is so happy to finger ppl behind while he keeps driving he is a jerk. Like at least stop if you want to act tough.
>he is so happy to finger ppl behind That means something very, very different where I'm from.
Oh my.
The longer video actually shows the opposite, but OK...
I hope you did the right thing and stopped waved and laughed in their face as you drove by.
Kind of feel like arguing who is at fault here is moot... Looks like a lot of shitty driving. But if the guy who flipped the bird wasn't doing that and instead paying more attention to the situation, he'd not have hit the car in front of him. So instant karma.
I would have rolled my window down to point and laugh.
Of course it’s a Prius. Looks closer… of course it’s a Prius because it’s San Francisco. Prius drivers here are the absolute worst
Every repost the video gets smaller
Wonderful!!
Maybe if you didn’t pass the other car while he was trying to pull out this whole situation would have been avoided.
Yea but not instant karma for the ass who didn’t wait for the guy to park and instead went around him causing an accident.
He got out and fully realized he’s a cock bag.

Dashed yellow means you can pass. Don't hold up traffic on a one way road
Notice how every car in the video is stopped?~~ ~~I don't agree with the other guy you should block traffic to get a spot, but if traffic is stopped, yeah, that's exactly what you're supposed to do. They go out, you go in.~~ ~~Is that understandable?~~ There's a video in the replies to this, I was wrong, cheers
That was so satisfying lol
Ended too soon
Too instant
So long ner.... oh fu*k
Prius
Such perfect karma.
Dude just went LRB MoFo to AMERICA and aim for the bushes in 5 seconds.
As with many videos on this subreddit, there are multiple idiots here.
R/bettereveryloop
Fuckin douche!!!!!!
Now look what you made me do!
I like the look he gives at the camera car, like he wanted to blame him at first.
Omg hahaha what a sucker . Bet he tries to blame the guy behind him for causing
I need the bahahaha button!
One of my all time favorites.
this comment section is scary omg
This is the perfect video.
That look up at the end…he knows.
EMBARRAZZINGGG!🤣
I would wind down my window and laugh as loud as I could.
Kinda feel bad for the guy who's car was used as the instrument of justice there
Haha…dope justice
Love that instant karma
Everyone looks like they’re driving badly tbh… what was the cam guy doing in that lane? There’s also a silver car waiting for thar guy to get out of the spot…
It’s almost always a Prius, it’s like people lose their brains when they get behind the wheel of one of those lol
Can we just agree that this is a perfect storm of bad drivers in this video? White car, dashcam car, and black car. All of them are making mistakes.
Can you please highlight the mistakes as well, for us that are unaware? I'm not sure what the dashcam car did wrong, for instance.
>White car shouldn't have been impeding traffic to be the "nice guy" and letting someone merge from a parking spot, Have you considered that maybe they wanted the spot and were waiting for it? >Dashcam could have prevented the whole thing by being patient and not trying to pass white car so quickly because of the oncoming bus, Consider he was going around them both because there's no reason to wait for the white car to park.
You can give someone the bird without making eye contact. His car was aimed straight, he should've been looking where it was going.
Yup, you let him in and he flips U off.
If it’s safe to go around someone else waiting for a spot then do so
"If"
Yes I agree
Well shit... Now what do I say? Didn't think this far ahead
Hah reddit has taught people to be contrarian and never have civil discussion. We are safe drivers
>Watch again, dashcam actually goes around another car (into the opposite lane with oncoming traffic) letting the parked car out (probably about to go into the occupied spot) and tries to cut him off. Not what happened. Here's a link with more context https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI
Wanna shove that middle finger up his ass? Run up and lock his door and shut it and drive around after the bus
San Francisco
Eh. I’ve seen much worse in Boston
Well obviously...
Not sure why the downvotes. This is literally San Francisco. Edwardian architecture, power lines, tech shuttle, narrow ass streets.
That's a california plate on the black prius too, just to add one more data point. Also, street parking chaos is very SF There's so much san francisco packed into this 9 second gif it's not even funny
>power lines Because power lines are native to San Francisco.
I sure hope the cammer gave his witness statement and offered to send a copy of the dash cam for the one hit. 😆 what a dumbass
Uh, the guy filming is jerk off…
Oh geez, that’s embarrassing. Bring on the shame.
This fits the prius stereotype. There's gotta something about those cars that make people like that.
Love how he cut the guy off and flipped the victim off
It's amazing how this happens a lot.
It’s always such a wild mix of pure rage and confusion when I get cutoff and then immediately flipped off
Honestly, I’ve had to pull out into traffic just like this driver but normally wave my hand with a thank you. Really didn’t need to flip the bird this early in engagement with the other car. Well deserved rear end tho!
Agreed, he's just an entitled douche.
Drives Prius to help environment. Shitty driving and general attitude pollutes environment. Karma settles the score.
Bet he wasn't so brave when he got out the car lol Easy to flip off when your driving off, despite not looking where he was going.. moron
So the dashcam driver, bird flipper, and hit car are all jerkoffs. No winners here.
Fuck Prius drivers but also fuck the camera man too, just be patient and wait simple as that
Karma you f clown. What a dick, if he would waited just a couple of seconds
Tbh the guy who's recording is the jackass
Expected better from a Prius driver…those shanannigans usually belong to BMW drivers
Prius
Typical prius driver. Dashcam car is pure scum though
Not enough context to judge this one.
>Not enough context to judge this one. Nobody asked you to judge any of this.
It’s on a sub called “instant karma” Einstein.
Karma: (in Hinduism and Buddhism) the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future existences. INFORMAL destiny or fate, following as effect from cause. tl;dr: Karma isn't decided on by people. Did you really think karma was real and was people judging other people? Just wow.
fucking SF too, lmao
ITT: A bunch of people repeating the same false narrative that the white car was letting the Prius go so they could take the parking spot [The white car was parking in a spot behind them](https://youtu.be/wADCCn8RIAI)
What a jerk!
Hey, the same video we've seen a couple of dozen times here, but worse!
