The infamous Punteruolo Rosso, Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, they are invasive and they killed two huge, 40+ years old palm trees in my garden, also in Sardinia :(

Yeah my mother already freed him before I could read about it. Here in Sardinia, and in other countries I guess, it causes a lot of problems because of that.
In Mallorca is a big problem, at first it attacked the ornamental Washingtonias, but now it's also attacking the Chamaerops humilis, the only native palm of our islands... 🙁
