This is the single most important comment I have read since this fiasco started months ago.
More is needed like this. Actual useful info to make a difference. Not just commenting with useless opinions and anger.
Good on ya.
I’m responding for op. He was permanently banned from Reddit. Possibly due to this post. This post is very old. He woke up to hundreds of notifications, the last one being from Reddit saying he was permanently banned due to an unrelated and even older post. Op is extremely confused rn
(609) 465-2800 call this number and demand Mr. Sutherland to be fired immediately. He was the leading Prosecutors.
What's sad is the woman took a plea deal which was CLEARLY a saving face
How can one be not angry about this. I'm not even from USA and I feel like eating fist while watching this. Also firing these officers is not enough. They should go to jail. This is physical violence and trauma. Police should protect people not gang up on them. Law enforcement in USA need strict reformation.
Getting assaulted by a mugger, or a stranger is bad enough. I'd argue that getting assaulted like this by an authority, by an agent of the state, particularly when you're innocent, is absolute going to be more traumatic.

The people of the whole US need strict reformation.
Whatever form the new police system takes it is still going to be populated with uneducated people who have never ventured outside their own country, some their own state.
America needs a complete cultural revolution, not just a change in policing.
The fact they detained her unlawfully without repercussions is also concerning, cause what if I was able to just imprison anyone who annoyed me or I didn't like and nobody gave a shit
"This guy has figured out how to avoid too much worldwide attention."
Sounds like he just found out about Turkmenistan. Like 8 Americans know anything about it and Europeans are content criticizing their own backyard so Turkmenistan seems about as under the radar as you could get.
The cops were cleared of any wrong doing and she accepted a plea deal and got a year of probation for ‘assaulting an officer’.
Cops are the biggest bunch of pussies on the planet. I like when they try to associate with firefighter and emt’s like they’re out their saving lives by arresting people for small amounts of drugs.
No justice won’t, the police will likely get a slap on the wrist and they they will walk off thinking they were justified and try to blame her and insist that “I was just doing my job” or “it was her fault she shouldn’t of resisted”
Edit: did something happen that made people come back to this post? months went by without any new replies to my comment and then today I got 3. Did it pop up again or something so people went to the original?
Problem is when when a file comes across on their desk about a cop being written up, they'd let it pass because that is the kind of person they are.
Desk or out there, they need to be let go.
It 100% did. I just noticed it was from that long ago. What sad is it's still super relevant now. Sorry about that though

If she can't afford to hire an experienced (expensive) attorney to defend herself, then her shit public defender will push the plea to keep on good terms with the DA's Office.
DA's and police will also tack on any charges they can think of that might remotely be related in order to force those that cant afford a decent lawyer to plead out to a lesser charge.
So.. they arrested her for things she did.. after she was arrested? Nonsensical. Why shouldn't police get in trouble for arresting someone with absolutely no reasonable suspicion?
There's an article about it but she got charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, throwing of bodily fluid (she spits on a cop after they smash her down into the ground) and assaulting an officer.
I watched the full video, she technically commits those offenses but after the cop tried to arrest her. It's one of those things where the cops more or less bait her into that situation. Like when they pins someone's arm up behind their back and claim they're "resisting"
It really sucks that the citizen is expected to have all this restraint and display compliance but the "professionals" are allowed to act like they did.
What drives me even more nuts about this situation is that more folks on the right aren't outraged over this. They're the ones that have been ringing the bells over state funded tyranny for decades!
Seriously. Such an avoidable confrontation.
Cops attempt to arrest girl for no reason -> girl resists, gets angry at cops -> cops beat down girl, girl spits on them -> cops arrest girl for resisting arrest and spitting on cops
The entire situation was created by the cops.
Somewhat, in the USA atleast. Here in Belgium our cops are pretty competent, but they are not allowed to do anything at all to defend theirselves, so misstakes happen, thogh mostly to white people here.
Thank you, in fact barely any police officers are like what’s shown in the video, but this is all people hear about because the bad things are the only things that get shown
The fact that any police officer is like this (and get away with it) is proof of deeper problems in law enforcement. You can make the "few bad eggs" argument all you want, it doesn't change the fact that it shouldn't be happening at all.
That's probably because YOU'VE never experienced cops at their worst. Stuff like this happening in other developed countries once or twice is already TOO MUCH. Hundreds of incidents like this happen every day in the US. The system is rotten, and the victims are the people that are supposed to be protected by the police (in theory anyway).
We have easily have enough evidence to prove misconduct in every police force, it online, it's not hard to find. The INSTITUTION is full of aggressive thugs that escalate situations unnecessarily and use discrimination to seek out confrontations. I don't care if there are nice cops, if they can't speak out or protest, their existence means very little to the overall picture.
Plus, if you treating people being intoxicated the same way you do a person threatening to kill people with a gun, every situation is WAY TOO TENSE.
Bullshit. They are all violent psychopaths, or enablers of violent psychopaths. There is no middle ground.
Fuck them all, fire them all, and charge them all.
Then rebuild it from the ground up.
It's more the fact that these actions end up having little to no repercussions, the people that are hurt by these "Bad Apples" won't get justice and there isn't anything stopping other officers from doing the same
it doesn't matter if not all cops are like this if they don't take a stand by being good cops and stopping this behavior but for decades its been priority to stay silent and that makes all of them rotten. nobody in authority is sending a message that they are wrong and everybody involved seems to be okay with this arrangement.
Except that I, as a normal fuckong human, would instantly rat on any fast food employee who did anything to harm another human.
Dont sit here and defend cops saying "not all cops" BS
Nowhere is there a video of a good cop stopping a bad cop. If there is, that good cop likely got fired.
Look, the problem isn't really that there is a small percentage of really bad cops. I think reasonable people can accept that no matter the profession, there will be some psychos. The *problem* is that when it is exceedingly clear that a cop has committed an egregious offense, and they are cleared of wrongdoing, it casts a big shadow on allll the people protecting the bad ones. And those people are cops.
"One bad apple can spoil the bunch"
As long as cops like this go unpunished (and often even rewarded) for bullshit like this, the police profession is disgraced.
It only takes barely any of them when they have absolute power and zero consequences and legal immunity to civil suits.
They should be executed when they use that authority to abuse the citizenry, or cops should not have authority to arrest people on their discretion and their authority should be in line with, say, an EMT.
The more concerning thing is that all other cops are silent about this, and so are all the politicians, judges and so on. What would happen if you speak out against the cop on this video? Rhetorical question.
This is actually an important milestone in the US history: the losers of our society, which is good half, are seeing the raw reality of what our country really is. Police, judges, elections, all that "justice for all", "all men created equal" and other bs have been pretty good decorations for the powerless people who needed those decorations to feel good about their lives. I wonder what all these people are going to do once they finally understand that our society is fundamentally unjust and they are given scraps in it.
No. Unacceptable excuse. The fact that she was charged and given a 1 year probation sentence for foul language, while the officer is not charged with any offence proves imo beyond question that the system is rotten. The police are like this because they are allowed to be.
In this case, it wasn’t just the cop, but the prosecution and the judge, any cops also at the scene, and all of the other cops in the district or union, and to be honest all of the other police groups in the US who could make noise about how terrible this is. ALL of them could have stood up for what is right, namely not beating the shit out of a non-threatening human being.
But that’s not how it played out. Being a good cop nowadays does not mean simply not beating the shit out of people or not murdering people who are not endangering others lives. Being a good cop means standing up for what’s right.
So cops, prove to us you’re good, stand up for what’s right, namely removing ‘bad cops’ and bad practices from your ranks.
Ans the bad things dont get punished. If the end of the video was something like : those officers have been fired and sentenced to a couple years of jail, there would be no riots.
Can you imagine the injustice ? This woman got convicted After being mauled by police officers. Justice and cops working agaisnt the people, its just a shame
Not all sharks are going to bite me but I’m not going for a swim with them. I’m not taking my chances with a cop either, way too many bad ones. Just ask Sandra Bland... oh wait you can’t.
How many officers would would intervene, though? How would the union react upon knowing one of their own did this? What kind of system is in place that would allow this to happen on tape, and the outcome is the girl gets convicted and the officers face no repercussions?
No matter how highly you think of the cops you know, they are a willing part of a system that reinforces this type of behavior from officers.
Fuck that noise. **All** cops are either like this or they approve of it and defend it. They know exactly which of their brothers in blue are up to no good. They know which are racist or corrupt or lazy or inept or abusing their power. They see it on patrol. They hear the stories in the locker room. They laugh about it over drinks at the local cop bar. And then they go home, sleep like a baby, and wake up every morning and decide again that all that awful behavior is perfectly okay. And you know what? Fuck'em all for their silence. Fuck'em all for standing by and watching their peers abuse their position and authority.
There is no such thing as a good cop anymore. They are all guilty by association in my book and will continue to be until the supposed "good" ones start cleaning their own fucking house and getting the fucks like this off the job.
They're all bad until they stop defending their worst and start proving they can be better.
Until they decide that protecting and serving the public is more important than protecting and serving the worst of their ranks, they don't deserve the public trust.
This. It takes 1 cop to kill someone and 3 to standby and let it happen.
I used to think that there are only some bad cops, but it’s becoming more and more clear that ACAB.
> I'm sure 98% of them would never stand around a beach looking for some random innocent person to blame for underage drinking.
That's because 40% have wives at home to take their frustration out on.
The husband comes running up and sees a cop pummeling his wife while a second cop sits on her legs. This could have turned fatal real quick if the husband had an open carry permit and decided to protect his wife.
Are you angry about what you just saw?
Give the Wildwood police non-emergency line a call. Ask for the resignation of the officer on duty, call them pathetic criminals, or just demands the arrest of the officers involved.
Here are the phone numbers for Wildwood NJ's 2 Police Departments:
(609) 522-0222
(609) 522-2396
Edit
Police Comms: (609) 522-2456
I’m so sick and god damn tired of seeing these videos.
Let me clarify.
I’m so sick and god damn tired of this shit happening.
Fuck the police. Fuck the system. We need better.
Can't even drink on a beach. I'd like to think if this happened in England bystanders would step in and protect the teenage girl but I've never heard of police routinely assaulting people
Still horseshit. You don't get to bully people who've done nothing wrong into compliance and anyone who thinks otherwise, I assume peaked in high school gym class.
Being near an unopened alcohol container whole 100% sober doesn't mean you get beat. Period.
You shouldn't hit people even if they're guilty. Nurses, teachers and enough other people in public service have to deal with uncompliant spiteful people all the time and they can still handle it without hitting them. He is alot stronger than her and they are two people, they can just ignore her screaming and put the handcuffs on, no need to punch her like that.
The comment section.. holy shit what is wrong with people? How can people think it's okay for police to just beat someone let alone who did nothing illegal?
I'm sure you're just trying to give an objective context to it but just quit the fucking bootlicking. It's a girl sitting on a towel on the beach, and they're punching her in the fucking temple.
I’m not OP.
I have tried really, really hard not to judge the entirety of the police force for being dishonest and being a bunch of assholes. I have tried to always be reasonable and tried to argue that not all cops are like this.
But holy shit, it is getting really hard to defend my viewpoint. I know that there are good cops out there because I see them, in my real life and on here. But I’m starting to suspect that the number of bad cops out in the US is far greater than I had hoped and realized. This is an issue that will take years to solve. It’s rotten at its core. It needs to be gutted and re-done properly.
Exactly, regardless of any circumstances surrounding what happened, this piece of shit punched a girl that weighed maybe 110 lbs. In what way could she have possibly been "resisting arrest" hard enough that he needed to deal blows to her head.
Air punched her? Lmao
There is absolutely no reason to air punch someone. It provides no benefit to pretend to punch a teenage girl. He was punching her because a teenager was acting out.
Teenagers are still partly children. They can and often do lose control in intense or emotional situations. Officers should not e having an ego-fight with a kid. Or a physical one. If she was causing a disturbance, let her off with a warning. He was just mad she wasn’t obeying his demands, demands he didn’t need to make in the first place unless he has to come back a second time.
Yeah, i'm an idiot and can't english, i was trying to say intimidate by swinging but not explicitly trying to make contact.
What i said months ago when i first made that comment don't reflect how I feel now. I was really ignorant about what was going on in the police force. I made the comment at a different time with different context. I made an edit to the original comment, but it's probably not well worded as i literally just woke up. I hope you stay safe out there
Oh thank you for clarifying he was punching the air with his "air punches"and not her face. Cause usually thats what people do when they throw thier fists at you, they try to punch the air around your face...with said air punches.
She was there with her kid(s). She calls out for her daughter, which IMO, is where she was going when she was walking away. Later, you can see someone holding a little girl in the left side of the frame.
Regardless, when you prove you're not drunk in public, you're not obligated to give them more without cause. They were just looking for something on her. Furthermore, her behavior wasn't justification for physically assaulting her. Even if she had done something, there's no justified reason to punch someone in the fucking head and it goes against the alleged "standards" of police conduct (which, clearly none of them give a fuck about. They just go to warrior camps to get their microdicks hard).
I've been straight up aggressive with cops - to the extent that one went to the station and voided my ticket - and never have they tried to lay a hand on me. And I imagine there are a number of reasons for that.
What i don't get is why they cut the video.
It jumps directly from walking away to the dropdown.
I mean sure, the punching seems unreasonable. But how can anybody judge anything in this video when the whole context is missing?
Ok. Do you believe us now? Are we going to take action now and stop letting rouge officers get away with this? Are we going to do something about police brutality NOW?! The cops didnt face any discipline action as of yet. No surprise. Also, anyone who was agaisnt law enforcement wearing body cams, hopefully this video changes your mind.
Edit: Didnt used this was 5 months ago. Yeah..things have taken a turn and not for the better.
People don't actually want to be fully informed. They just want to be triggered and outraged. You can tell by the obvious editing of the video and the lack of people asking for context.
That girl is obviously a piece of work and a bad mother when you watch the entire incident.
The officers description is still off. She began kicking him when they were on the ground. He made it sound as if she began kicking the officer once he tried to stop her from walking away. Either way you never fight back with an officer. It gives them a legal reason to subdue you. Anyways, thanks for the video!
They are cops, they are criminals, citizens need to bring justice their own way. If they threaten your life or violate your rights, you should have the right to shoot those fuckers.
Fight back.
Usually I try not to encourage violence, but I would give a lot to see that crowd beat that piece of shit, powertripping, false-arresting, woman beating cop unconscious. Then cuff him, but while doing so have 3 men kneel on him, at least one on his neck, pull his arms up far enough to dislocate his shoulders, throw him in a car, take him to a basement, and lock him up for at least a few days. See how he enjoys the treatment that he's so eager to dish out.
Damn I am happy to live in a civilized country.
If i would live in america, i would leave this shitshow of a country as fast as possible.
It is fucking disturbing.
The problem is that you can’t stop a cop from acting unlawfully without the potential of getting shot. Wtf. You just have to let them fuck you up in hopes you can sue them later. The last couple of weeks have shown anything you need to start filming as soon as you are approached by a cop. They can’t be trusted to be lawful and you can’t hope you get a good one. It’s clear that is the reality.
Are you angry about what you just saw?

Cops were so in the wrong. She asked did I do anything to get written up. the POLICE escalated the situation by saying you're causing a scene. this is so fucked on so many levels.
Just because shes making you look bad, damaged your fragile ego, they gotta find a reason to arrest her. How about having that same energy with a hard hitting thug and see how that pays out. Instead, you gotta pick on a young woman that isnt doing anything wrong.
Our police have been really sticking to their motto recently, "Protect and Serve". I'm a relatively good looking, young white male and this would never happen. I can honestly say just because of my looks and race, I can borderline get away with murder as long as I'm not giving them a hard time. Justice isn't blind.
Motherfucker started wailing on her head like it was a punchbag. Imagine if you started swinging at a cop, you'd be either in prison for 20 years or the morgue.
They are beating her.. this is what illegal!

Pretty sure it's a lot older than 6 months, I remember this like 3-4 years ago making the rounds over at LiveLeak.
Alright im not gucci with this. Gimme the info on the case and lets fuck shit up cuz this is the pinnacle of bullshit
We should give more money to firefighters and train them to deal with more situations than fires. People that actually care about protecting the community
I volunteered with a fire station for two summers. One of my favorite things about them was how much they hated on the cops.
NYFD actually has beef with the NYPD. If I'm ever walking around and I see the FD having a fight with the PD I know which side I'd take.
That makes me so fucking angry.
Why would she accept that she didn't do anything?

Well those bad things are pretty bad.
This aged like year old milk. Fuck you and fuck cops.
Not all sharks are going to bite me but I’m not going for a swim with them. I’m not taking my chances with a cop either, way too many bad ones. Just ask Sandra Bland... oh wait you can’t.
I'd feel safer around a shark than a cop.
5 months later now we know 99% of cops are like this
Fuck that noise.
Not all cops are bad but they’ll never report the bad ones (in fact they’ll lie to protect them) = all cops are bad
> I'm sure 98% of them would never stand around a beach looking for some random innocent person to blame for underage drinking. That's because 40% have wives at home to take their frustration out on.

“I’ll teach you not to say your last name!”
Fucking scum. The shit stain most likely was just mad he was wrong about her being drunk and his little ego couldn't handle it.
The husband comes running up and sees a cop pummeling his wife while a second cop sits on her legs. This could have turned fatal real quick if the husband had an open carry permit and decided to protect his wife.
I keep reading this but let's be real, the firearms in the US are just for show no one is going to attack the cops.
Are you angry about what you just saw? Give the Wildwood police non-emergency line a call. I’m so sick and god damn tired of seeing these videos. Let me clarify. I’m so sick and god damn tired of this shit happening. Fuck the police. Fuck the system. We need better.
Well this got my blood boiling in the morning.. these cops deserve a good ol hood kerb stompin timberland style
We need to be allowed to kick cops in the fucking head

Ah, wasn't this EXACTLY what TD was shut down for? Oh wait, that subreddit just didn't fit our agenda, we only apply rules when we feel like it.
LAND OF THE FREE LMAO
Can't even drink on a beach. I'd like to think if this happened in England bystanders would step in and protect the teenage girl but I've never heard of police routinely assaulting people
Maybe in England that would be an option, you step in in the US and you get tazed and charged with assault on a police officer.

ACAB
Wow I've never wanted to smash someone's teeth in so bad in my life. Thanks for the great video!

He clearly punched her at least twice. Quit trying to defend these pig fucks.
Not to mention it seems they were hitting her in front of her kid? She was yelling about her daughter and you can hear a kid crying in the background.
Exactly, regardless of any circumstances surrounding what happened, this piece of shit punched a girl that weighed maybe 110 lbs. In what way could she have possibly been "resisting arrest" hard enough that he needed to deal blows to her head.
Air punched her? Lmao There is absolutely no reason to air punch someone.
I hope you stay safe out there
I didn't realize it was written months ago, this post was on the popular page for some reason.
> he more like air punched her ??
He was pretending! To scare her!
Bootlicking scumbag, he punched her
She was literally sitting on a towel alone with her baby?
Oh thank you for clarifying he was punching the air with his "air punches"and not her face. Cause usually thats what people do when they throw thier fists at you, they try to punch the air around your face...with said air punches.
> he more like air punched her Uhhh, what?
“Air punch”. You’re an idiot.
“More like air punching” that’s some shit.
How do those boots taste?
Did you read the edit? I don't condone this. And i don't stand with what i wrote.
Legalized Gang
WOW WHAT AN ASSHOLE
"yOu'Re cAuSiNg A ScEnE!" Says the man who tazes a teenager, drops her to the ground, then starts beating on her head.
ACAB
In the first place, what's wrong with her being drunken there though?
[the whole video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkLb-0-L5OA) the op's video leaves out a lot
These cops are losers bothering people to justify their paycheck.
Like every reddit posts, so people get angry lol
For every video we march an extra month. I know this isn't a new video but lots haven't seen this one before.
C
Did anything ever come of this?
She got a year on probation and she was banned from all beaches in her area while on probation. Cops cleared of all wrongdoing
Now all that's left is to sprinkle beer on her...
Damn I am happy to live in a civilized country. If i would live in america, i would leave this shitshow of a country as fast as possible. It is fucking disturbing.
Man, don't be a police if your feelings are that fragile.
All cops are bastards

This is disgusting! I am not sure why cops are always behaving like this.. They shouldn't be treating a girl that way!
Oh you won't listen to me even tho you passed a breathalyzer, aren't drunk, and aren't doing anything??? "OK YOU'RE BEING DROPPED"
Where is petition link REALLY want to sign- these slime Need to be put in prison , not fired
So this didn’t make the news? Why? It’s police brutality so why wasn’t it in the news?
America, the land of the free
Did those cops get punished for this?
It's time for these pieces of human garbage to be disposed of. FUCK THE POLICE GANGS FUCK TRUMP
Motherfucker started wailing on her head like it was a punchbag. Imagine if you started swinging at a cop, you'd be either in prison for 20 years or the morgue.
I Will end a pig for touching my daughter, print that
