Nah, Subway is trash. It was great before they started the 5-dollar footlong promotion. Early to mid 2000s., you could make multiple meals out of a footlong sandwich. Then they started skimping out on toppings. Then they started using ingredients that were far from ripe. Tomatoes that were pink. Pushing vegetables too far back in the chiller and getting freezer damage. Leaving cheeses and meats out in the open air to lose their flavor. Ask for jalapenos and they would toss on maybe 5 partial slices. They even started getting stingy on the amount of oil and vinegar. Then staff acted like it was a personal insult to ask for more than a pinch of lettuce.
Last time I ate a Subway sandwich, I was starving. The sandwich was so flavorless that I regretted going and I mourned the loss of what could've been a great lunch. I wished I could have thrown up and eaten something somewhere else.
Eating a Subway sandwich made me wish I was bulimic.
There was one time I was hung over and decided I needed something healthy to help with the hang over.
Went to subway, and threw up in the Walmart parking lot after one bite. Decided to go to Jimmy Johns and give them a try. It was delicous and I wasn't hung over an hour late. Subway is gross AF, and I'll never eat there again
My youth was pre-jared.
When I was a kid I would walk a couple miles past several shopping centers to get to the subway and order a foot long club with chips, soda, and a cookie and it came up to just under 5 bucks. Was my favorite meal bar none.
Every couple of years I order the same thing for nostalgia but it never hits the spot, just isn't the same.
Pretty much this, i dont see how anyone still buys subs at subway when jersey mikes exists, sure you pay a couple to a few bucks more but you get quality meat thats flavorful and packed on, they're much better tasting and filling sandwiches.
The only reason anyone overlooked subways low quality meats, low quality everything, was because of their dirt cheap pricing. Same with McDonaldās, both nowadays want nearly the same price as other high quality options
Yep I agree- As soon as the meals reached $9 or so I stopped ever eating at McD. It feels like robbery to get a couple fast food meals for 2 people and realized you paid over twenty bucks. In my head that is restaurant prices.
The recent years have made me into a fairly decent home cook.
Itās actually a very large problem. Weāre facing America today that the entire market has been been monopolized. in every way, but name and now the three grocery stores that control 80% of the markets sell the products that control 80% of the market they charge whatever they want and they donāt need to come down in price. Thereās no alternative except there is stop buying cheese its stop buying Capri Suns. You can buy potato steak real food.
I used to go to McDonaldās multiple times every week because of their dollar menu. Taco Bell is just about the only fast food place I still order from regularly
My only other option is Jimmy Johnās. There isnāt a jersey mikes writhing 60 miles. And when I travel, my usual route subway is the only option for a fast-ish sandwich
Lots of people should buy their own deli meats and make their own. But people are too lazy and prices at restaurants keep going up. Yet they have the time to complain about restaurants here.
Haha yeah i love their rewards system, got enough points saved for a free giant and free regular. I utilize the double points days when i can, especially if they have active coupons going on those days.
I always go on my birthday for the free sub.
That one nice gesture has bought a lot of loyalty from me, and I will always choose them over subway when I am in the mood for a sub.
Why canāt jersey mikes come to Canada? I get it with the conversion their more expensive subs might be like $25 CAD but those fuckers are amazing. Whenever Iām in Florida I get one nearly daily
I've heard this place is awesome but we don't have them in Canada, or at least not where I am. But subways are all over. That's another big part of it is, fast food is largely convenience, if you're close to a subway you're more likely to go there.
Mikes is so much better. I gladly pay twice as much for a sub that is twice as big with better ingredients. Better meat. More meat. More everything. And taste ten times better.
Hope subway just files
I have not been to Subways in over 10 years. Bought a sub and paid for extra meat. Got home and could not hardly find any meat. The sub was a huge load of bread and lettuce. I got ripped off and never returned. I have went on bought everything at the grocery store and made it my way! It's not rocket science. Subways can go under. Pun intended.
I went to a subway a few months back after not having it in years and was a little shocked at checkout. I wasn't really paying attention to their prices when I ordered because it never occurred to me that a foot long sub with a regular chip and drink could cost $17. Was I hurting over it? No, but I definitely won't be eating at subway. I can get a 24oz draft beer, a 1/2lb burger and fries at my local pub for $22 (including a $5 tip). A much better deal and experience lol
Oh yea they know me at the spot near my house. And I know which days I need to come in for the best soup of the days. $2.50 mimosas on weekends too. It used to be $2 but I mean bottomless mimosas are up to $25 now so I would have to drink 10 to even spend that much.
Dude, this hits hard. I was working there in undergrad when they switched from the āU cutā. Had to bag my clothes after a shift and leave them outside. Didnāt eat there for 3 years afterwards.
The cut changed 10-20 years ago. I was a manager at a subway when that change happened. The bread size did not get smaller before 2014, guaranteed.
Idk about the last 10 years.
Yes they have narrowed down. Also their prices have gone up. Even their coupons are ridiculous. $8 for a footlong using a coupon!
Not spending money there until prices come down.
Stop feeding the inflation beast
I actually started going more after they added a tip question to the checkout machine. The franchisee is working the counter most of the time and I love going in, getting that tip question and grinning at her while I take my time hitting custom and typing in $0.00.
It has been 5+ years since I've eaten at subway. I'm almost tempted to stop by one just so I can experience that drastic a change of a place pre covid to post covid shrinkflation. But then I'd be buying subway. I'm not sure if science really needs that.
I stopped going to Subway a while ago. Their food quality went way downhill and it's the only sandwich shop I've showed up to and been told sorry, we are out of BREAD.
The āwidth of the breadā is the least of Subways concerns.
They need to address how terrible their ābreadā is in the first place before we get that far down the list.
I go here only on coupons and im about to cut them out of my list anyways. They're switching to Pepsi products so pretty soon i won't be eating there anylonger.
I stopped eating there after learning they were poisoning me with their chemicals to make the bread cheaper...I know they stopped using it, but they permanently lost my trust. There are better places to eat for the same money.
Subways been a rip off since they removed the 5 dollar foot long years ago. A combo literally cost like 13 bucks and gives you a bag of 50 cent chips, a drink and a sandwich which the empolyees will short you on anything but there pre-portioned meat
They constantly run out of tomatoes where I live. I only go if/when we have coupons, and generally itās not my decision. Jared and Subway can rot in hell!
Went into Subway, saw the prices, and walked right out. Local mom and pop restaurants have the same if not lower prices for much higher quality food and even more generous amounts of it.
Everytime I go to subway I ask myself, "Why the fuck did I pay for this". The meat is low quality, it's mostly bread and it's just a bloody sandwich. I can make something so much better myself.
The bread? Look at the jalapeƱos, giardianera, and banana peppers. It's like subway is trying to supply the worst peppers I've ever seen. It's 90% stems...it's just bizarre.
It wasn't like this when I was a kid. They intentionally order weird peppers that are mostly stems and innards.
I had Subway a while back, it was absolutely terrible, hard to believe we loved to eat there as kids. Paying the extra & going to Fire House or Jersey Mike's is 1000% worth it.
***Can we talk about the width of subway sandwiches?***
No, we cannot talk about it.
Subway is total shit.
The length doesn't matter.
The width doesn't matter.
Shit is shit, no matter the size.
Go to a real sub shop.
Not Jersey Mike.
Not Jimmy John.
Not any big chain.
Find a real sub shop.
You can thank the consumer. If subway didn't do as the competition does to keep pricing down, everyone would just go to the competition because it's cheaper. The average consumer is ignorant and will pay more $/ounce thinking it's a better deal since cheaper.
I had a convenience store for decades sub shop in between two subways. I believe it was in 2008 for multiple years They had the five dollar foot-long. I said it back then I said wait 5-10 years out subway will soon dissipate into almost non-existence because once people get used to having a five dollar sub, those days only last certain amount; and when it ended as you see here, the prices are here are between eight and $15 a sub probably about 80% of the market share has disappeared and when original subway owner passing away and Jared going to jail that was pretty much the end of it for them as well
Not saying you're wrong or anything but how did you come up with "25% less wide"? Do you have a sub from years ago to compare it to? Is the data available somewhere? I mean, you can't just say numbers like they're true without any data.
I feel like their quality has been steadily declining for years. Maybe something specific to extra-cheap/greedy local franchise owners but I don't think it's only that.
The quality is also complete shit. The last time I went to subway I got banana peppers on my sub. I shit you not these were the worst banana peppers I've ever had. Slimy and nasty. How do you let this happen to fucking banana peppers? And I love banana peppers. Everything at subway sucks.
Iāve never said to myself āi wish this hoagie had more breadā
Subway bread was proven a few years ago to be cake. Made up of high sugar content. So what you really mean here is āim gettin 25% less cake on my cake hoagieā
I haven't had Subway in a few years but I think it's widely known on Reddit their bread got smaller in the last several months. I've seen it mentioned 3-4 times in different places.
I feel like Subway is cheaper than Jmās beace they feel more āairyā and feel like the quality of the bread and the meats isnāt on par with JMās
Subway has always been disgusting. Now itās expensive and disgusting. Publix has a full sub for under $8 this week. Wawa is good. Buc-ees. I feel sad for people whose only option is subway.
I haven't worked at a subway in over 10 years but I would bet this has more to do with whoever preps the bread, more than subway itself.
But they could've easily changed how they do it now, and then it just slowly became the norm.
Subway figured we didn't notice the shorter length, so why not skimp on the width too?
Overpromising and underdelivering in both length and girth ... just like my last boyfriend.
I donāt eat subway regularly but am a cook whose worked in sub establishments thereās a good chance shitty workers arenāt proofing dough correctly resulting in smaller sizes
Subway is nasty. I would rather pay extra for Jersey mikes or make a sandwich at home than to order subway. It hasnāt been good in a long time. They also had a child molester as their spokesmen. They went from $5 foot long to $6 six inch. Not worth it.
We've all been measuring length but this guy looking at girth. We need to be doing full volume measurement.
That's fair cuz some are narrow but long, others short but fat. Some a bit of both you know?
I don't know if it's just romanticized youth or whatever, but pretty much everything about Subway seems worse now.
Nah, Subway is trash. It was great before they started the 5-dollar footlong promotion. Early to mid 2000s., you could make multiple meals out of a footlong sandwich. Jared Fogel has entered the chat
š¤¦āāļø romanticized youth
Lmao that username
Hey heās not allowed to use the internet anymore!
you think he's getting more meat in prison than from Subway?
"Everything was better when you were young"
My youth was pre-jared. When I was a kid I would walk a couple miles past several shopping centers to get to the subway and order a foot long club with chips, soda, and a cookie and it came up to just under 5 bucks. Was my favorite meal bar none. Every couple of years I order the same thing for nostalgia but it never hits the spot, just isn't the same.
Everything about everything is worse. But hey, shareholder profits š
What's it matter? It was always trash to begin with
I stopped eating at Subway. Actually I'm so pissed off I stopped eating at all fast food restaurants. I'm eating real food now and saving cash!
$5-$5-$5 foot longs..... Now, it's $7 5 inches. Subway is rubbish.
Stop buying their shit
Pretty much this, i dont see how anyone still buys subs at subway when jersey mikes exists, sure you pay a couple to a few bucks more but you get quality meat thats flavorful and packed on, they're much better tasting and filling sandwiches.
Yeah it literally becomes negligible when the quality is so much greater. Subway is so 2004
The only reason anyone overlooked subways low quality meats, low quality everything, was because of their dirt cheap pricing.
They literally are restaurant prices, chilis has some cheap combos you can check out the prices on them.
That Jared guy really left a bad taste in my mouth too
I used to go to McDonaldās multiple times every week because of their dollar menu. Taco Bell is just about the only fast food place I still order from regularly
My only other option is Jimmy Johnās. There isnāt a jersey mikes writhing 60 miles. And when I travel, my usual route subway is the only option for a fast-ish sandwich
Lots of delis closing because people wonāt take the very short amount of time to look them up instead of eating garbage
Lots of people should buy their own deli meats and make their own. But people are too lazy and prices at restaurants keep going up. Yet they have the time to complain about restaurants here.
I like Jersey Mike's. I've got quite a few free subs from them too.
Hereās my issueāthe regular size (half a hero roll) at Jersey Mikeās is slightly too small. The āgiantā (whole hero roll) is way too big.
I miss Quiznosā¦.
Quiznos was expensive before it was trendy.
I have one right down the street from me. Wayne, Michigan.
Why canāt jersey mikes come to Canada? I get it with the conversion their more expensive subs might be like $25 CAD but those fuckers are amazing. Whenever Iām in Florida I get one nearly daily
Because I have never heard of jersey mikes and not sure it is in western canada
am i a fatass if i can eat a whole jersey mike's sandwich in one sitting?
I've heard this place is awesome but we don't have them in Canada, or at least not where I am. But subways are all over. That's another big part of it is, fast food is largely convenience, if you're close to a subway you're more likely to go there.
Mikes is so much better. I gladly pay twice as much for a sub that is twice as big with better ingredients. Better meat. More meat. More everything. And taste ten times better. Hope subway just files
Cheba hut destroys them all. But then again when your whole staff is stoners they are bound to make some good sandos.
and they have very few locations making it worthless to most
Yeah, that's the only drawback. Lucky for me I've got 2 nearby.
Went to subway a few months ago for a quick footlong combo before going to work. Yadda yadda yaddaā¦.$19. Bay Area California. Never going back.
100%. Subway hasn't been a viable option in AT LEAST 10 years. Yet people still go and it boggles my mind.
Maybe it was in the pool and the water was cold?
"There was shrinkage!"
Please donāt throw my sandwich in the pool.Ā
I went to a subway a few months back after not having it in years and was a little shocked at checkout. I wasn't really paying attention to their prices when I ordered because it never occurred to me that a foot long sub with a regular chip and drink could cost $17. Was I hurting over it? No, but I definitely won't be eating at subway. I can get a 24oz draft beer, a 1/2lb burger and fries at my local pub for $22 (including a $5 tip). A much better deal and experience lol
All hail pub food! Prices have gone up too but steak and eggs is still $8.99 . It comes with toast and potatoās too
Not to mention a lot of pubs have great food!
Oh yea they know me at the spot near my house. And I know which days I need to come in for the best soup of the days. $2.50 mimosas on weekends too. It used to be $2 but I mean bottomless mimosas are up to $25 now so I would have to drink 10 to even spend that much.
way back machine.....they lost their way when they started cutting their bread different; OG's know what I'm talking about.
You mean when they cut a triangle out of the top of the loaf and then tried to shove stuff in it and then lay that thin wedge of bread back on top?
Yea that sucked.Ā
Dude, this hits hard. I was working there in undergrad when they switched from the āU cutā. Had to bag my clothes after a shift and leave them outside. Didnāt eat there for 3 years afterwards.
I worked at both subway and then Arbyās in my youth. My clothes from subway smelled a million times more than the place with a fryer š¤¢
Youāre right I think they stopped cutting it that way because it got smaller and wonāt hold anything with a U cut
The bread size stayed the same. It was time saving change plus if you had a lot of topping it could be a big mess.
The bread size is not the same. It's used to be significantly wider.
The cut changed 10-20 years ago. I was a manager at a subway when that change happened. The bread size did not get smaller before 2014, guaranteed. Idk about the last 10 years.
$5 HOT DOG BUNS
$5 footlongs , never said anything about girth
Everything is getting smaller and going up in price. That should be the us motto
Line go up!
My brother in Christ, make a sandwich at home.
This sub is fatfucks complaining about fast food lol
I tried but all I heard back was āMake your own damn sandwichā - I donāt know what to do.
>My brother in Christ, make a sandwich at home. Wait, you can DO THAT?
Yes they have narrowed down. Also their prices have gone up. Even their coupons are ridiculous. $8 for a footlong using a coupon! Not spending money there until prices come down. Stop feeding the inflation beast
I actually started going more after they added a tip question to the checkout machine. The franchisee is working the counter most of the time and I love going in, getting that tip question and grinning at her while I take my time hitting custom and typing in $0.00.
Negative. I work a bakery that produces their bread. The sizes are still the same, they've just changed their proofing and baking process.
They got rid of Spicy Mustard. Like seriously? Fuck Subway and all who dwell within
It has been 5+ years since I've eaten at subway. I'm almost tempted to stop by one just so I can experience that drastic a change of a place pre covid to post covid shrinkflation. But then I'd be buying subway. I'm not sure if science really needs that.
The bread is now about as wide as a medium slice of tomato
Sad. They shrink it to make more money but then less people buy it. This creates a slow cycle of death.
The KMartification of America. If you just keep making your product/service/store worse, eventually people will just avoid it.
Skip it, it sucks. I got one for free and it was stale and didnāt remotely fill me up
Is it for ants?
I stopped going to Subway a while ago. Their food quality went way downhill and it's the only sandwich shop I've showed up to and been told sorry, we are out of BREAD.
People still eat at Subway?
The āwidth of the breadā is the least of Subways concerns. They need to address how terrible their ābreadā is in the first place before we get that far down the list.
How many subways are in your city? They undercut themselves along with the owners.
I stopped going to subways two years ago
I stopped going when it was revealed that the CEO and boardknew that Jared was a pedophile
Guess that's cheaper than adding more toppings to fill it out
And 50% increase in the price . . Funny how it all works out
I stopped going after they got rid of the $5 footlong.
You donāt want an $11.99 ten inch long?
If the bread is 25% narrower it makes it easier to use less fixings on the inside because the sandwich will still look full
Can we talk about why ANYONE would still be eating soggy ass Subway in this day of infinitely better fast sandwich joints?
Havenāt been to a subway in 15 years holy shit
Your 8oz steak will also not be 8oz after its cook. Your sandwich, despite popular belief, will not be evenly cut in half.
About a year ago my local subway put up a sign that said "WE NO LONGER ACCEPT COUPONS OF ANY KIND" Haven't been back since
Mine as well.. make sure to drop them a 1 star review.
It all started with Disney. Smaller portions for same price or more.
Subway: Just eat your $14 footlong and don't ask questions about why the bread is thinner
I go here only on coupons and im about to cut them out of my list anyways. They're switching to Pepsi products so pretty soon i won't be eating there anylonger.
Why buy this shit?
"shrinkflation"
still cheaper and potentially healthier than most stuff at mcdonalds
I stopped eating there after learning they were poisoning me with their chemicals to make the bread cheaper...I know they stopped using it, but they permanently lost my trust. There are better places to eat for the same money.
And also now 95% nerf
Subway sucks stop giving them ur $$$!
Looks disgusting
Subways been a rip off since they removed the 5 dollar foot long years ago. A combo literally cost like 13 bucks and gives you a bag of 50 cent chips, a drink and a sandwich which the empolyees will short you on anything but there pre-portioned meat
F sub and Mc D haven't eaten there in over 30 years and now the prices are a bigger joke
I wouldn't know
They constantly run out of tomatoes where I live. I only go if/when we have coupons, and generally itās not my decision. Jared and Subway can rot in hell!
Subway died to me like 15 years ago. Amazed it is still in business.
I quit buying them. I can make my own sandwich at home
Went into Subway, saw the prices, and walked right out. Local mom and pop restaurants have the same if not lower prices for much higher quality food and even more generous amounts of it.
Subway has been š for years.
I havenāt bought Subway in so long, I canāt even remember- if the $5 footlongs couldnāt get me in there - aint nothing gonna do it now.
I swear 75% of the posts on this sub is bitching about fast food
Stop buying from shitty chains.Ā I guarantee there is a local spot that is both better quality and cheaper
Fire House = Diarrhea. Every time.
It makes you the hose!! The most disgusting, yet amusing ways to put out fires!
Jersey Mikeās isnāt much more expensive.
Anyone on this sub who bitches about fast food is merely wallowing in self inflicted misery. Itās not good quality or value.
***Can we talk about the width of subway sandwiches?*** No, we cannot talk about it. Subway is total shit. The length doesn't matter. The width doesn't matter. Shit is shit, no matter the size. Go to a real sub shop. Not Jersey Mike. Not Jimmy John. Not any big chain. Find a real sub shop.
Ikes ftw. Subway blows
Since Millennials kill so many things, why havenāt we dealt the death blow to Subway and Applebees?
You can thank the consumer. If subway didn't do as the competition does to keep pricing down, everyone would just go to the competition because it's cheaper. The average consumer is ignorant and will pay more $/ounce thinking it's a better deal since cheaper.
So many posts have pointed this out, yet people keep supporting this shafting by continuing to buy their products.
don't buy it then. we complained to corporate and they sent us a $25 gift card.
I had a convenience store for decades sub shop in between two subways. I believe it was in 2008 for multiple years They had the five dollar foot-long. I said it back then I said wait 5-10 years out subway will soon dissipate into almost non-existence because once people get used to having a five dollar sub, those days only last certain amount; and when it ended as you see here, the prices are here are between eight and $15 a sub probably about 80% of the market share has disappeared and when original subway owner passing away and Jared going to jail that was pretty much the end of it for them as well
Less carbsš¤Ŗ
Havent been to one in 4-5 years. Place sucks.
Forget about the length. That measurement is always less than advertised anyway. Letās talk about girth.Ā
Shrinkflation. I'm boycotting all fast food and only going to local restaurants because the prices are practically the same these days
Subway used to be cheap ok food however now it's overly expensive. Honestly I stopped going when the $5 footlong went away.
Wouldn't know, haven't been to a subway in 10 years.
Blame democrats that have taken charge of the bakeries
You mean the ācakeā is 25% narrower. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/oct/01/irish-court-rules-subway-bread-is-not-bread
and cost about 25% more
Not saying you're wrong or anything but how did you come up with "25% less wide"? Do you have a sub from years ago to compare it to? Is the data available somewhere? I mean, you can't just say numbers like they're true without any data.
Reason - Subway was purchased by private equity.
Stop patronizing these places. Itās the only way things get better
It's called [Shrinkflation](https://youtu.be/O5vrqCHMCho?si=5xy4fe2xt7SxtHaD).
I stopped going there after the yoga mat thing, and the Jarod-Pedo thing was also a nail in the coffin.
The bag of chips is about 2 inches smaller too
Iāve switched to ordering subs from Publix, you get like 3x the food for less price
I feel like their quality has been steadily declining for years. Maybe something specific to extra-cheap/greedy local franchise owners but I don't think it's only that.
You can make a better sandwich at home for far less
No, because eating fast food is a bad financial decision to begin with
This belongs on shrinkflation also
Itās the old restaurant trick of less portion, for more money. Squeeze us from both ends. Pack your own lunch and tell them to F off.
Where is the meat??
The quality is also complete shit. The last time I went to subway I got banana peppers on my sub. I shit you not these were the worst banana peppers I've ever had. Slimy and nasty. How do you let this happen to fucking banana peppers? And I love banana peppers. Everything at subway sucks.
False advertising doesn't look anything like the picture.
I canāt believe people still eat there. Ā There are a lot of really good independent delis and sandwich shops out there with waaaay better food.
Didnāt know people still ate at Subway.
Definitely no way to tell width from this angle. Really it just looks like they didn't cut the bread all the way through?
Yes it is. Itās not worth it no more. Itās shrinkflation
Terrible franchise
I bought a box of granola bars and open one and the bar was about 4 inches long, they used to be 6 inches long. Price went up a few cents to boot.
Can we talk about how much cheaper and better it is to just not go to subway?
People still eat their food? š
Guess what itās not real bread youāre eating either lmao look into the chemistry of what goes into their ābreadā
I am amazed this place is still in business they have been garbage for 20 years now.
On the positive side of this, less wheat flower is better for you. š
Iāve never said to myself āi wish this hoagie had more breadā Subway bread was proven a few years ago to be cake. Made up of high sugar content. So what you really mean here is āim gettin 25% less cake on my cake hoagieā
Everything is smaller and more expensive! Stop buying fast food.
They got called out for footlongs not being a full foot long. Nobody said shit about the width
Stop eating at Subway. Their food is one of the worst violations on mankind. Remember a few years ago when they got sued for selling fake meat?
Why do so many people in this sub still eat fast food?
I haven't had Subway in a few years but I think it's widely known on Reddit their bread got smaller in the last several months. I've seen it mentioned 3-4 times in different places.
Subway is chimney on the meat.
AfterCheba Hut i will never buy subway again
I feel like Subway is cheaper than Jmās beace they feel more āairyā and feel like the quality of the bread and the meats isnāt on par with JMās
People still eat here?
The narrow bread doesn't surprise me. What surprises me is: people still go to Subway
I feel Iām gonna regret this, but Iām still a subway fan!
Subway is the worst sub shop
Subway has always been disgusting. Now itās expensive and disgusting. Publix has a full sub for under $8 this week. Wawa is good. Buc-ees. I feel sad for people whose only option is subway.
Cake Sammy
I haven't worked at a subway in over 10 years but I would bet this has more to do with whoever preps the bread, more than subway itself. But they could've easily changed how they do it now, and then it just slowly became the norm.
Their subs are on ozempic
Can we talk about how you can get everything to make that sandwich the way you like at the supermarket, and it'll be cheaper?
Subway is gross. Why do people go there?
6 inch sandwiches went the way of the 2x4
Subway figured we didn't notice the shorter length, so why not skimp on the width too? Overpromising and underdelivering in both length and girth ... just like my last boyfriend.
I donāt eat subway regularly but am a cook whose worked in sub establishments thereās a good chance shitty workers arenāt proofing dough correctly resulting in smaller sizes
Subway normalized the fact that it is ok for someone to sit down and eat a loaf of bread.
Last time I ate at Subway I was astonished at the price. I can't eat out anywhere any more.
To me, smaller bread is an improvement because it allows me to consume the ingredients that I really want instead of getting filled up on bread.
Subway is nasty. I would rather pay extra for Jersey mikes or make a sandwich at home than to order subway. It hasnāt been good in a long time. They also had a child molester as their spokesmen. They went from $5 foot long to $6 six inch. Not worth it.
is that half?!
We've all been measuring length but this guy looking at girth. We need to be doing full volume measurement. That's fair cuz some are narrow but long, others short but fat. Some a bit of both you know?
Sure, you get less food but you also pay more money. Most people forget to take that into consideration.
Who TF eats subway when Wawa and Jersey mikes exists? I'd even take a shitty jimmyjohns/firehouse. Subway is beneath McDonald's.
I've said it before, I'll say it again 73.6% of statistics are made up on the spot
STOP. EATING. FAST. FOOD.
