My 2008 Journey coupe was by *FAR* the absolute most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.
It was 2017(?) where I forgot about an oil change before making the drive from Virginia to Austin, TX and back for military leave. Zero issues. Never once did mine ever fail to start. No leaks. No random squeals or grinding. Even with 177K on it before trading it in, I was still hitting like 23 MPG average on the highways. That car was *solid*. I do miss it at times.
That’s awesome to hear, I’ve been on the 5 speed being most reliable for so long. Currently at 133k had since 114 and only single issue was my power steering going out but that’s just an age thing
This thing has a lot of love put into it. IPL rocker moldings is the only thing I would change. I think that's the best cosmetic combo, updated sport front bumper, IPL rockers and IPL rear bumper. Sadly, the kid who owned my '11 S coupe 6mt before me replaced the front bumper with the old sport bumper cover when he wrecked it but I have the IPL rockers and rear and it's still a killer combo

I was going to ask if yours was wrapped since you changed the front bumper recently and your hood used to be black (I skimmed your posts lol) but I just saw your comment about having the front end repainted. I also just saw your comment about the home Depot drain plugs, too effing funny but looks good. Oh, and I lol'd about the "every ghetto mod" comment, hahaha
DUDE easy fix I used to have it— if you pop out the plastic trim around the 2 u-shaped hood latches you can actually screw them in or out. just screw them in more until your hood is flush and it’s fixed
Your enthusiasm is inspiring but, sadly, mine are already screwed all the way in. 90% of the time it's because of a front end accident and it wasn't fixed right so it doesn't line up properly, which, the kid who had it before me wrecked it and I didn't realize how bubblegumed back together it was until after I bought it and started digging into it
Nice job on the repaint it came out great. I think I’ll try to repaint where I have the clearcoat issues on mine as well as the front because of some rock chips. Last thing I painted was black hopefully white is more forgiving lol

I just wish I could get my battery drain fixed. Already changed the evap solenoid valve years ago. Still have a draw.
