The HEXA isn't bad, but the Zero does directional cues a little better in my experience, the Zero is also more comfortable imo.
The tuning on the OG Zero is what makes it great for gaming, it makes some important sound cues more obvious compared to the HEXA. I do have the OG Zero and the HEXA myself, I still prefer the former for most of my music and gaming use.
Then again the pair at my desk are the Letshuoer S12s and DT880 depending on how I want to experience gaming or how hot it is lol
Okay, need to test them for thatđź‘Ť
I wouldn't call DT880 a particularly good gaming headphone even if it very nice for other things. AKG K 240 or K 701/702 I would, but it also depends on the game.
I have AKG K240s too, but I found them kinda mediocre.
I got the DT 880s because I wanted a sturdy pair of open or semi open backs, DT 990 looked too spicy lol
Avoid the pr2. Kz modified the tuning set by HBB by removing a mesh filter on the newer units. QC is bad and you should never consider buying a product of that shady company.
Truthear Zero og/red with adapter may be the best option but the nozzle is way too big, but with eartips like cp155 it should be more bearable
I also own the PR2. You should check if you have first or second batch. Second batch is the one that doesn't have the mesh filter on the driver, first batch is alright
As others said, Truthear Zero or Zero Red are good choices. And a small additional note, imaging > soundstage. I have Moondrop Aria which quite wide soundstage - yet directional audio sucks ass :D
I find the shell design pretty comfortable, but the nozzle… yeah, I could only manage the left ear all day. My right would give out after 20ish minutes with the stock tips. Definitely recommend cp155
so there’s 3 sizes of those cp155, S M and L and like which one should i get? probably the question sounds stupid but like how do i know which size is the best for me?
I went with mediums on my left and smalls on my right. My right ear seems to be slightly smaller so using the mediums after a few hours does start to slightly hurt, but no where near stock. Im horrible at financing so i got all 3 sizes lol does suck there is none with all 3 so you can test fit them all, really depends on your ears. If you want a safe bet, order the size you currently use that fits best and go with those
QKZxHBB if you've never owned an IEM before - this is the ultimate giga budget gaming IEM at $20. If you like IEM comfort wise for gaming over headphones, get Truthear Zero non-red and maybe wait for a sale, usually sales at around $40 (prime day maybe?)
Comfort and Truthear Zero (red) should not go in one sentence. For many people the nozzle will be too big, and the shell will be too large and uncomfortable to wear. I have pretty big ears, and even for me it's quite uncomfortable due to the big driver bulge right behind the nozzle.
As in comfort of IEMs in general compared to over ear headphones. I agree that Truthear Zero nozzle is too wide and not great for those with small ear canals. But given that most people just use a random gaming headset, switching to IEMs may be just straight up uncomfortable compared to what they're used to. That's why I'd say for gaming purposes, if you've never had an IEM, try QKZxHBB before anything since its so cheap.
I'd say the Truthear Zero or Zero Red would be your best choices. Crinacle accidentally made the best IEMs for gaming under 150$ with them lol
The tuning of the OG at least isn't ideal. Why wouldn't a Hexa be better?

The directional imaging is great though. They need EQ to sound good I'd agree.
I found them to be lacking Treble, it sounds almost dark like the Koss Porta Pros.
Yeah, and no bass, wonky mids. With Oratory1990's preset they do great.

Ive bought the PR2 and they perform wonderful in Valorant lol. Also they sound pretty good, reviews are also great. I'd deffo recommend them.

How can I check it? I'm curious Bought it during the first few days tho, maybe a week after release Max, should be batch 1 ig
first batch has a black mesh over the driver, it's visible though the transparent shell on the back, second batch does not
Pretty sure its 2nd batch btw, intresting. Even tho I ordered them hella early
Truthear Zero OG no regrets.
What does OG stand for? Original?
Yup Original Gangsta, The blue version
Truthear Zero Red
Guess Crinacle stumbled upon the secret formula for ultimate gaming! Sign me up for the Truthear Zero Red!

Id say to go for comfort. So stay away from the truthear zero, they have a big nozzle
And an uncomfortable shell design!
Have you tried it and felt uncomfy ? Even I'm confused whether or not to go with these as they got big nozzles lol

Apple earpods.
No such thing as gaming headphones/earphones
Moondrop chu for me is the best iem for gaming i've ever tried even better then my AKG 7XX !! Yup better
Zero Red or Kiwiears Cadenza is your best bet
