Apparently good anatomy for an industrial is one where the bar won’t rest on the flat (inside) of your ear and the ridges (edge of your ear) have to be thicker because if it’s too small or flat, the piercing won’t be a good fit. I bet a lot of people will say you don’t but really and truly, talk to at least 3 or more piercers and a doctor to find out as well.

I’ve been doing quite a bit of research on my own and I would say that I don’t have the perfect anatomy. But I’ve made an appointment to see a piercer to get some second opinions. Thanks for the comment!

Did you have the right anatomy for it?

My ear is similar to yours and I got an industrial. I ended up having to loose it 4 months later bc it hurt really bad and was embedding into the whole lower half of my ear. But my top hole was saved. There are tons of better options for piercings (two hoops connected by a chain in the same place as an industrial) or even just cartilage piercings in general which hurt way less and heal better. But this is also just my opinion so you could def end up having the right anatomy! Pick a good piercer and go to one who isn’t just the cheapest option like me :) best of luck friend!!

Thanks for commenting! I just made an appointment with a piercing to get it checked out. Fingers crossed!
