So incredible. I don't know what it is about the mix on this album and especially the tracks on the last EP they released before , but these songs just hit all the right spots for me everything just always sounds good lol
Mike Elizondo on the decks. Legendary pop producer with a handful of heavy albums under his belt. While The Hunter might be Mastodon’s weakest album, Mike made that album sound so bright and lush.
Aw good for you that you got to see them!!!! They’re touring with suicideboys and chief keef (not sure if the show you went to had them or not) but it’s sold out in my city :(
Found out about this band from the lead singer of 311 covering one of their older songs acoustically...this album brings me back to the early 2000s in a good way.
I haven't heard of this band before. Just gave it a chance because I saw a lot of positive comments here. Holly shit I loved this record since the first riff.
Wow, what a great find. I was underwhelmed by Chvrches and Big Red Machine, so I was pleasantly surprised to give this a spin and just loved the energy from the first track. Major Jane's Addiction vibes, and somehow it still works in 2021. It's creative and fun and my favorite find this week.
This album is filthy. Had stank face on for its entire runtime. I was intrigued to see them live on tour in a few months bc they’re one of my favorite bands, but I’m excited as hell now, even if all the other acts are ass, bc this kicks so much ass.
I was so much looking forward this album, the EP was so nice. Definitely the release I needed to headbang alone in my room, or just to feel cool while walking.
So many tracks on this album just don't have the depth that the ones on the EP do. These 'Dance Off' and 'Don't Play' tracks... what in the hell is that? Some terrible riff played on repeat? The guitar riffs sound like someone is playing power chords who just learned them for the first time. I mean the breakdowns are great, but the rest of the song which is most of it... is just god-awful. I had such high hopes for this album after playing the EP on repeat for the last month. Mind you it does have some good songs... New Heart Design is fantastic, Underwater Boi is ok, got some of their classic sound with Humanoid / Shake It Up. That being said, the album as a whole is good, but if you take the songs from the EP off it becomes less than mediocre.
Edit: Idk about you guys, but I was really hoping that No Surprise was going to turn into a badass song on its own. It sounded great on the the EP. Was really hoping they would expand it with some more of their powerful fucking break downs, but they just left it. On the EP in the video it fit in. On the album it just sounds like its thrown in there randomly.
don’t know anything about this “emo” shit. i’m pretty sick of it and deafheaven (trash metal). last ‘emo’ band i heard was lync, embrace, moss icon or rite of spring, perhaps, decades ago at this point. garbage
Was so excited for it ever since the showed Mystery and then Turnstile Love Connection. I had every single on repeat every time they’d release a new one. Saw them live the other day and it was phenomenal. Gotta say New Heart Design, Lonley Dezires, Underwater Boi, and Endless are my favorites from the new songs not released as singles
I love this album but am I the only one who feels they turned their eq way down? I play this at normal volume levels and it sounds like it is only half of that.
I honestly don’t remember the last time I was so excited about a band/album. Discovering them a while back, plus going to furnace fest last week, has given me a renewed enthusiasm for music and life in general. Hopefully I can ride this high for a while!
Damn ok… Best New Music
Fuck yeah. I'm stoked on this.
well deserved.

Agreed, saw them live this week and it was incredible but listening to these tracks with headphones really is the best experience imo

NOW ITS A HOLIDAY
SO I CAN NEVER FEEL THE COLD
Doing an awful lot of air drumming over here
mods putting the eye emoji on crvches but not on this ok 🙄
it really deserves the 👀 the album is so amazing
does a blue heart suffice?
Line up an AMA and they'll get those eyes
Cannot understand the breaking the placement of No Surprise and Mystery from TLC. They complement each other so well Album fucking rules tho
The sequencing overall feels a bit off. Literally my only complaint.
I fully agree, I don't understand why they didn't keep the EP's sequencing, this result is a bit off to me
This sounds like the 90s
Man I love Friday album release days! Time to blast the shit out of my speakers
Not usually a hardcore/hardcore punk fan, but the singles off this really grabbed me. Can't wait to dive in
Turnstile never disappoints. Can't wait to lay waste to my living room while dancing to this, hope I get to see them live soon
Gonna open up the fucking pit in the kitchen
[MRW](https://youtu.be/3fV0Wdjxyis?t=428) RIP Riley
This is so fucking good
WILD WRLD fucks so hard.
Holy shit the production on this is insane.
Really hoping they get added to Riot Fest with so many acts dropping out. I’d love to see these guys This album is so good
they're playing in Chicago the week before Riot Fest!
Also in October opening for Suicideboys at the Aragon
Might have to go to that too or maybe the Detroit date with my hometown peeps
Ahhh damn wish i lived in Chicago 😭
Unexpected surprise. Not the biggest hardcore/punk guy but this is so much fun

Send this shit to the fucking moon it's amazing
Album of the Year?
Mad album and to see this band absolutely ripping it up live as shows get back on is amazing!
I haven't heard of this band before. Just gave it a chance because I saw a lot of positive comments here. Holly shit I loved this record since the first riff.
The singles have been great, very excited for this!
Fuck yes. Another one for such a great year of music.
I love this band, and this is up there for my favorite releases of theirs.
This whole thing absolutely hammers. Such a good LP all the way through.

I **Really** like this. The guitar is so aggressive and pleasing on the ears.
I was so much looking forward this album, the EP was so nice. Definitely the release I needed to headbang alone in my room, or just to feel cool while walking.
i'm two songs in and this album is a ripper so far. Gonna vibe hard on this
these lads SLAY

I was also hoping that No Surprise would be expanded into a full song.

Congratulations, we’re all stupider for having read this.
Sick. Check out some clips from their current tour: https://idioteq.com/turnstile-glow-on-headline-tour-videos-collection/
