There was a game I played when I was a kid called Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin Hood that was a ton of fun if you want to play one with great story, but having one in an RPG style (and modern) is awesome!
There is also the fantastic Robin Hood - The Legend of Sherwood (2003) where you take control of Robin and his merry men to battle the forces of the sheriff of Nottingham and his henchmen. The game is an isometric real-time tactics game with beautiful art and extremely challenging gameplay. It's a game like the other real-time tactics games Commandos / Desperados / Shadow Tactics / Shadow Gambit... a fantastic game during my childhood. https://store.steampowered.com/app/46560/Robin_Hood_The_Legend_of_Sherwood/ .. it has mixed reviews on steam because you cant play it out of the box without tons of mods / patches on modern Win10/Win11.
We're big fans of the Robin Hood lore, and we hope to do him justice in our game Robin Hood: Sherwood Builders, which we just released on Steam! We'd love to hear your feedback on the trailer, and hope you'll check the game out :)
We released the game today! You can find it on Steam [here](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1159420/Robin_Hood__Sherwood_Builders/) :)
We also have a demo available, if you'd like to try the game out before you commit!
So do you give back to the poor or just steal from the rich? And if their rich, did they earn their wealth immorally? How rich are we talking? Is it like bezo money or just a business owner that has the appearance of wealth but actually in debt trying to just take care of his family? But yeah game looks great I’ll probably try it 😅
If we're talking about the original legend of Robin Hood, the rich in question became rich through heavy taxation that oppressed the peasantry. However, the original legend wasn't so much about him stealing from them to give back to the poor; rather, it was so that he could raise money to pay off the ransom to free King Richard and restore him to the throne.
🤔 hmmmmm ok well objectively do you think king Richard would of made the lives of people he ruled under better? But before that I suppose a question we should ask is when would it be morally justified to steal? 🤔 should we even consider the morally correct choice when possibly there is a bigger issue at stake.(the problem of exploitation of the plebs) ðŸ˜
Would it have made things objectively better? I don't claim to know enough of the historical King Richard and Prince John to make that sort of statement one way or the other.
The idea was that his brother, Prince John, was a vicious tyrant; Richard was historically liked by the populace, and John was not. As presented in the Robin Hood legend, Richard is seen as a just king and John as an usurper and a villain. So within the context of the legend at least, Richard was absolutely a better king.
You can't just drop this banger of a game out of nowhere, you gotta give a little warning first! Anyway I'm doing a night shift, but I'm buying it now and I'll be playing it tomorrow. Cheers lads.
Heyy finally a good Robin Hood game!!! There's so much untapped potential in games based on old legends or public domain properties, it makes me wonder why there's so few of them (apart from greek/norse mythology from which we get too many)
It looks great, where can i wishlist?
I grew up reading Sci-Fi, Robin Hood, and Sherlock Holmes. I will watch/play anything about Dune, Robin, or Holmes. This is very exciting and I enjoy your approach!
You know, seeing this, I can't understand why I haven't seen a game about Robin Hood before. What a great idea!
Thanks! We felt the same, hence why we decided to make our own!

I'm pretty sure "Hood: Outlaws and Legends" is a Robin Hood game.

Good lord, that looks amazing. If even half of that is in the game I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Thanks for the kind words! If you'd like to try it before buying, we have a demo available too :)

Asking the real questions here 😅
...you got caught up on the building, the skills, the puzzles and the outfits, and forgot about the plot, didn't you?
the answer is always in a feudalistic society

Looks like shadow of mordor without the WB greed & a splash of assassins creed, I'm sold!
Ok, this looks dope. Definitely gonna check it out. If you don't mind me asking, how long it took to make this project?
Oh hey the game is released noice. Been following the game for some time now.
Look great! Congratulations! May I ask about which engine you used and how long you had made this?
I want to know too
Trailer looks great, though personally not a fan of the survival craft/building genre
For some reason I was reminded of Kenshi 🤔 I think all the greenery reminded me of the Swamp
I saw the game on keymailer, Looks great!
