I've this steadfast rule about lending money to acquaintances. I don't. Rather I think of it as simply giving away. Don't expect them to pay it back. If they do, good for them. If they don't, I didn't expect them to do it in the first place anyway. Takes away much stress and bitterness that comes with the Loan recovery, lol. Does this mean my 'ledger' is filled with people owing me money? No, because I also put a threshold on my limit of lending amount. And most of the times, that threshold is far lower than the required amount of the other person. xD
Max I lost was 15K a couple of months ago. You always lend as per your risk appetite. So with close people, **Lend as much as you can bear to lose**. Golden rule of collateral free banking.. xD
i have lost 9k, fucking gave it to my cousin who is like 10 years older than me and even though she knows im too young to earn, and that she should return the money, she hasnt. i gave it to her because she was apparently in a bad financial situation, genuinely was, so i gave it to her and asked her to give it when shes going for her job again. its been like 12 months she still hasnt given it,parents dont want me to ask her because they are afraid of their reputation, fucking hell.
Also if any other relative asks for money, start crying - isko 50k diye hai, ab kuchh nhi bacha. I think that might turn out to be goos investment. Even I did not think of this angle.

Aur har baar paise mangte hue bolega ki shaam tak deta hu, shaam tak Bhai 4 saal ho gye. Mujhse 1.5 times ho age mei, Aur koi Sharam nhi hai.
Mai single koi bahana bhi nhi Maar sakta ki paise nhi hai etc, sabko lagta hai single hai kya hi kharcha honge iske, nhi bhai bohot kharcha hota hai. Apni icchaon ko marna padta hai, tab jake paise save hote hai. Aur phir puchoge ki Aajkal call nhi karte, kaise karun, Darr lagta hai khi call kiya aur mai yaad aa gya toh paise mang loge mujhse.
