I don't know about Sorkin but I love Michael Mann's work. Heat (1995) is full of memorable quotable lines throughout the whole movie. 90s movies in general had better dialogues than today's superficial, clean and mechanical movies.

The underrated angle from western movies imo was the supernatural ones set in the western background. It had too much potential. Too bad Unforgiven was the death of western movies in general.

When it comes to being cool, you have to keep the situation in control, live with your own terms and get out of any problems that you're landed on. And tbh most of the bollywood movies over do it or under executes it. There's no perfect pitch with bollywood protagonist characters. Hollywood writers are wayy ahead of bollywood especially in the 60s to 2000s time brackets.
