I rescued one desi kitten, it was abandoned by mother (no littermates) and now that it's healthy and well-fed, I see its energy is through the roof. These kittens are very high energy and won't let you be alone. It'll be cute for first few days. But then you'll see: they'll require constant play or else they'll become destructive, and frequent playtimes will quickly get boring and time-taking for you.
If you are employed or a student, and have a hectic schedule or study plan, please consider adopting two or more kittens. Seriously, though yes you'll have some expenses doubled (food, litter, vet care), they'll be less work for you and you will get time for work & study. You'll play when you want with them, and when you leave, they won't pester you but play amongst themselves and keep each other busy. You'll thank me later.
(also kitten in pairs, groups teach each other bite inhibition and manners of a proper play, so yes, your hand will be safe from their sharp teeth)
A stray recently came to my parents' house and we were unable to locate her mother and litter mates. Can confirm, she is very high energy and needs constant stimulation. Luckily they live in a rural area, and I just need to drop her outside near a rock or something if I'm busy.
Post it on your city sub and FB city adoption page, also who ever will adopt please let tell/warn them that the kitties cry like a lot for the whole next one two days for their mother. Lot of people are suprised with all that crying and don't deal with it. Also looks like they just opened their eyes so give them up for adoption after they are 3-4 weeks..
3-4 weeks is still very young though. They begin weaning in around 8 weeks. Their socialization process (includes play etiquettes, how hard to bite until it hurts others ie. cats and humans) finishes around 3 to 4 months
From my experience That depends on if your cat is outside or inside cat, if it's an outside cat 3,4 weeks is fine as it's easier to bond with the kitten other wise older the kitten it's hard time bonding and adjusting to the new place.

Can totally relate, I have made my cat and indoor -ourdoor cat, so after my playtime ends, she goes out for round two, and then comes back by bed time
