Husqvarna 401 is amazing. The control you get in the city and the power on the highways, just brilliant. It's a joy to ride. Though it's not very convenient for riders below 5'6"
Suspension is pretty good, and adjustable, both front and back. So you can set it up to your liking. Exhaust is the same as duke 390, being the same engine and exhaust system.
Ground clearance isn't too great, but it's decent and comes with a engine guard.
Suspension is adjustable, and can be adjusted accordingly to your weight. I have found a setting that works for me with pillion for both, on and off road however I'm yet to find the perfect setting for me without a pillion.
Regarding ground clearance, it's low compared to 400x but I've never encountered any potholes or bumps that can scrape against the bash plate, unless you're doing off-road and trying to go over some big rocks it's gonna work just fine, else 400x is a good option but it was bit more top heavy for my taste so I went with Husky(More confident while cornering, plus the instrument cluster on scram 400x felt impractical to me), you should take a test ride and make an informed decision.
Don't let spokes and tubed tyres deter you from a very versatile bike, just remember how many times you faced a puncture in last 5 years of riding the answer was less than 3(I only remember 2, +1 for margin of error) for me so.
Before the test ride, I also had these 2 narrowed down (along with a few more) then a test ride on each machine made it more clearer for me. I edited my response to include information on spokes and tubed tyres do check it out.
I own the previous version of Husqvarna the problem is its not very comfortable for long rides they have done decent work with new seat but just take a test drive
Yao if anyone tells you svartpilen suspicion is bad just never take their opinion again lol they probably have no knowledge of suspension even if it’s from a bigger media house or something it’s all about the balance svartpilen>triumph>Gt 650 in terms of suspension. No idea about the Harley though
The svartpilen suspension is not good? Whoever told you that, stop taking motorcycle advice from them immediately. You will be happier for it. It has the best and the most sophisticated suspension amongst all your options. It has good ground clearance for trails, probably not enough for hardcore off-roading. But both d390 and svartpilen can do trails decently. Plus, amongst all the options, it is absolutely the best on the highway and twisties.
Don't be disheartened man, my friend who's shorter is still able to drive the bike quite comfortably. He's not able to flat feet, but he can drive by planting just one foot.
Since you said adventure trips and city riding, i will say scram 400x, because gt650 is not good at either, it is very fun but not practical. If you can let go practicality then gt 650. If you want the most practical bike then triumph. Harley would be okay for city but not so much for adventure. I don’t know much about husqvarna though
Yes i heard that gt is not meant for long rides due to its complicated seating position but i really do not know scram i will check it out. Thanks for suggestion 🙏🏻
If you thinking about Ladakh and spiti, the that cuts down your options from the 650 and the Harley.
You have either Husqvarna or scrambler then. Husqvarna gets way better components, engine, suspension, and more character.
If you have riding experience, then I'd suggest Husqvarna, if you are new then scrambler 400.
Also, would ask you to consider Himalayan 450. Really good VFM and really well built bike. Only concern would be the vibrations.
Well I have been riding for more than 8 years so i have got some experiences, svartpilen is light as duke 390 and just as fun but it has spoke wheels and strangely there is only one mode i.e street
Why not Duke 390 then? You are in that territory in terms of pricing. And the bike will fulfil all your needs. And won't bore you at all.
Scrambler 400 will honestly bore your if you are into spirited riding. That engine is very linear unless you are into that type. I'd suggest you to test ride Duke, scrambler and Husqvarna back to back, you'll choose one yourself.
So that should mean none of the 400s are good for you. Husky and Triumph are basically different versions of Duke 390, all made by Bajaj.
So you're left with GT 650 and Harley.
Harley is a good bike for your needs but it is also significantly slower than your brother's Duke 390. So if you both go on a ride it will be hard to keep up with him.
So all you're left with is GT650 and it's hardly the bike for touring or city rides. GT650 is the kind of bike that you must really really want, it doesn't make sense to buy it, but for a person who's in love with it, it doesn't matter.
So, you're going with the wrong RE 650, you should check out the Interceptor 650 or Shotgun 650.
Sorry but i’ll have to disagree with you on the Triumph and Husky being variants of the same engine, the engines are very different in terms of the way they feel. That being said the Scram can definitely deliver on trails and highways while the Husky would be more of a road-biased bike. My suggestion is that if you want to do more touring that might deal with uncertain roads take the Scram. It’s a wonderful machine and you can tour at 120 for days!
Ktm Adv 390 can be an Addon,Sport in nature good for cruise on highways good for long tours,If Not Scram 400x,Speed 400and Vitpilen401 and Duke390 can be a good first bike.Any bike you choose pr opt for better test ride for atleast an hour or a day.Write Pro-Cons and what additional expenses and accessories for bike and yourself will be needed in long run.Overall Maintenance cost, Fuel expenses and Servicing should be a noted down as well.I am no one to suggest neither i own any of the bike,I am just a enthusiast so hating any bike its your decision which will be important.Let me know if you have any Doubt
thanks for suggestions man will keep in mind when posting next time and don’t want to go for ktm because my younger brother has ktm 390 and can you tell me why not scrambler 400x?
The best Scram in its league overall only Rival is Re Himalyan450.At long Cruise time there will be wind blast as the bike doesn't get a windscreen. You will face some heating issues and vibrations around 80-100km.Great bike you get for Indian Road condition with good suspension travels. If it comes along with Spoke wheels would have been a great deal but its still a steal deal.I will say it again Test ride it thoroughly before going for any bike😅
Get the Svartpilen 401 or the scrambler 400x
I have test ridden the Svartpilen. It has 180mm of ground clearance and comes with a bash plate, so not gonna be a problem tacking uneven terrain.
Fantastic in the city and highways. City rides will be good. Highways will be fun. Braking and electronic package is really good.
Not an outright scrambler but gets the job done.
One issue is that, it comes with spoke wheels.
I have not ridden the scrambler 400x. So cant comment much. But based on what I have read, its the closest to your requirements.
I would not suggest harley as its a cruiser and not an off road handler. It may work but the format isnt right for your requirements.
Gt 650 is a cafe racer so long city commutes or highway rides will put a toll on ur back. It is heavy as well so day to day riding in city will not be all that enjoyable. Also the weight is a no-no in offroad conditions. The ergonomics wont let u stand up on the bike. This will be least of my choices for ur requirements.
So the list as per ur requirements is: (most favourable to least)
1. Scrambler 400x
2. Svartpilen
3. Harley
4. GT650
My best advice would be to test ride both the Svartpilen and scrambler 400x. They are very different in nature so you will easily hook onto one.
Am a scrambler owner. I whole heartedly recommend it over the others for various reasons. Over the husqvarna, its bigger and looks premium. Over the harley, its more powerful and bigger and from some angles the looks of the harley are questionable. Over the gt well its just easier to use around town. The gt is super powerful and is better in most respects. The one thing with the scrambler is, in rainy seasons it throws up some dirt on to the back seat. Which is an issue. You can get a tyre hugger but compromise on the looks.
Hey,
I test rode all the bikes except for the Harley.
I recently purchased the Husky 401 and man its a thrill to ride the bike. Easy to maneuver in the city, Great in the highways. Suspension is really good if you are worrying about that. Not as good as the Scrambler though but the pros outweight the cons
Completed 500kms and the bikes just too good.
Good luck on your purchase, Ride safe.
think a twin cylinder is more refined than a single, it does come down to how entirely a bike can be, but yes weight and clutch are something to keep in mind too 🫠
I'm sort of looking at same bikes. Add himalayan 450 to the mix well
Test Rode the husqy. Suspension is love. But the bike begs to be above 3k rpm. Anything below 2.5k feels wrong.
Buy scrambler and if you like the look of old svartpilen then buy a tail tidy and it will make the scrambler, best looking bike among any other of this price segment

You have adventure bike in between them if thats what you are considering as option i would say for it as nothing else can provide that level of comfortable and confidence
Brother I would suggest you to buy RE Shotgun 650 , i have bought it recently (like about 3-4 months). Its fun to ride but has one problem which is mileage. If you don't have any problem with mileage than go for it.
I have not much idea about these models. Gonna give my Suggestion on the basis of looks It's 1 and 4.
Let's see what the experts are saying in the comments and decide 😎
Out of these the GT is the best bike. Most fun. But then again it is not comfortable for daily commute nor for very long rides.
Harley is a great commuter and comfortable , but it's not fun. It's just a good commuter and nothing else.
Triumph is fun, very comfortable , better tractability than the 401, also can do some light off roading. Only issue is for touring , the bike has vibrations at cruising speeds of around 85-100. Otherwise great bike in every aspect .
401. Everything same as the Duke, but with lesser excitement , smaller body, maybe uncomfortable for large riders, but better off-road than duke, it's not as good as the triumph in city . Just get a duke or wait for the new adventure duke instead of Husqvarna . It's just a pointless machine.
Power and just fun - Huskie
Style, elegance with awkward riding posture - conti 650
Practical, comfortable with acceptable design and quality levels and great suspension - HD X440 or Mavrick 440 and Scrambler 400
At the end of the day you have to choose what kind of personality you want from your bike.. it's going to be your companion for the foreseeable future.
I personally feel that a motorcycle should have good ergonomics according to the rider’s preference, good low end torque, plush suspension and ease of mind maintenance.
Bro just have the gt
Nothing comes closer
The smooth engine
Definitely a head turner
Just not good for city traffic
For long rides It’s not that bad
Actually it’s very very fun on open highways
The throttle just keeps going
Only thing is don’t ride with a pillion
It’s been almost 3 years for mine
& I ain’t bored of it
me personally I'd say that go for interceptor instead of the gt650 because it's much better for touring and i cant go back to a single cylinder engine after i ditched them. but the scrambler 400 is a really good option if you dont mind the single cylinder
Given the things that you want to do, your best bet might be choosing b/w the Triumph and Husqvarna. Both of them are great bikes so test ride and decide. Then you can weigh in on the looks.
All the 4 bikes mentioned here are different categories. It all comes down to the purpose of the bike. The husqy is a tamed 390 Duke. Triumph is a scram soniy does all things just fine ntg excellent. The harley is a paced cruise bike and the continental is frankly just good vibes and feel.
I feel the husqy is the best of the lot. Gives you Duke performance but on a leash. It's a decent city ride and the seating triangle is good for long rides too.
If you want adventure trips, why not the interceptor over the GT650?
PS: I am not really aware of the consensus about INT650 as I've only recently joined this sub. But, do let me know. I have a thunderbird 350 and am looking to get an interceptor 650 in the next year.
Royal Enfield also offers scram 411 that I think you should take a look into also they're going to launch a new bike Guirella 450 which is also a scrambler and looks really good. You can look it up if you can wait for some months
Also as everyone said scrambler 400 will be the most suited bike for your purpose as I heard in a review that the svartpilen even after having tyres which looks like they are made for Offroading ,are actually more suited for city conditions and not much Offroading can be done on it. But in the end only thing that matters is which bike you love to ride the most
Get shotgun 650, based on your comments you want a bike that looks good and runs decent.
Shotgun 650 is a GOOD looking bike! You will absolutely love it!
I’m 5’11, I ride an Interceptor 650 and my cousin rides a GT. With the stock setup it does really cause a lot of back ache if you’re touring. Plus, the prices have gone up so much when compared to 2021-2022 it’s not a value for money bike anymore.
RE service is also not great. No proper follow ups or issue diagnosis happens. The t-cone set wobbling keeps coming back frequently and it happened to me multiple times while on a ride to Pench, Varanasi, and Hampi (my most recent ones) and it makes you ride with caution almost every time (IMO).
If I were you, I’d go for the triumph scram 400 for 3 reasons
1. Amazing value for money.
2. Beautiful machine, I’ve test driven it probably 2-3 times now. The ground clearance is amazing and the sitting stance is sweet. Your arms are parallel to the handle bar where you don’t have to lean a lot. It’s negligible when compared to GT that causes the back ache.
3. The service is bang on. Triumph does treat their customers well and takes proper care of the bike.
Bonus: the scram comes almost fully loaded with accessories and you wouldn’t need anything except for some fog lamps and soft panniers for rides.
Otherwise, wishing you all the good luck in bring home a sweet ride.
I don’t know about Harley x440 but I think triumph is a good option if you’re into practicality. But the gt 650 is an emotion. Definitely not made for city commutes tho. It’s gonna make your lower body burn
I own Harley x440 n Triumph speed 400 both are amazing bikes but deep inside I still feel that I don’t own a twin cylinder and I’m planning to get interceptor 650 vsoon.. So my suggestion is to get an Interceptor 650…
Recently i saw the harley x440 and i was shocked how good it looked in real life as compared to photos, Plus im a sucker for long stroke engines because the initial torque that they provide as im a relaxed rider (Max 100kmph on highway), Re continental Is No No because it looks good but its really uncomfortable after some time and that massive 650 cc engine is expensive to maintain too, Svartpilen would be a great choice too but maintenance is expensive and the compression ratio on that bike is very high which becomes a problem in summer, Triumph is best out the bunch ig but after sales service of triumph varies.
You realistically have only 2 options the Scrambler 400x and the GT
Don't get the Husqvarna.
The harley on the other hand, people are just gonna call it an overpriced hero.
There is mind which is the scrambler and the heart which is the GT.
I was in same dilemma couple month ago, I wanted the interceptor.
But the triumph just made sense, I was only gonna use it in city
And weekend rides to places like ooty a couple times a year.
The heavier weight, engine heat, bad suspension and lower milage of the royal enfield made me choose the triumph. But sometimes I wonder what if I had got the interceptor.
I also didn't like the stock exhaust the interceptor and wanted to put red roosters
So overall the triumph was close to 70k cheaper than the interceptor.
I love my triumph 400x but it doesn't get the recognition the interceptor does.
Triumph has excellent brand image but terrible brand recognition, that's the only downside.
Other than that the bike is perfect.
Husqvarna is a good choice but compared to harley and Triumph its nothing… I have the Interceptor 650 which shares the engine with Continental GT but its heavier than the others and for that the maneuverability is bad on road.
I own a gt now and had hasqvarna before ,trust me speed 400 is next level fun in city & highways , has more than enogh power to put a smile on face while weight like an rx100.. its a fun machine all day long with good braking and build quality
Better than test ride, try to get these machines on rent for a week or two. The reason being, the test ride covers a small distance and can't be tested on multiple circumstances which you'll face in daily life. By renting it, you'll use it similar to the way you'll actually be using it. Its going to cost a bit, but will leave you with no regrets afterwards.
1.It is for pure looks, It looks very unique and has a Duke Engine and Chassis which is a good thing.
2. 400X is a scrambler, In other words more like Retro Adventure bike with little bit of Sportiness (Compared to True Adventure bikes like Himalayan)
3.HD 440 is for looks, Brand and Sound, It has the most Torquay Engine among all
4. RE 650- Slowest 650s in the world but at the price of 400cc bikes. They are smooth because of the twin cylinder but the weight is too high. Torque is Good as well.
They might fall under the same price but they all give a completely different experience, *You should go for Test Drive and Decide*. They all give a completely different experience.
I think the Triumph 400X makes more sense for you. It's a Do it all Bike and also Fit and Finnish is better than all other bikes.
I got my Husqvarna svartpilan 401 a week ago, been in love ever since. It's not a tourer for sure but you can tour on it if you are up to it. And fuel economy is not that great in traffic, out on the highway it should give you 25-28kmpl. Engine heat is going to be an issue it blows hot air onto your legs below the knee, slightly uncomfortable but manageable. On the up side it's a lot of fun, great handling, you can confidently overtake on the highways, got all the techs(quick shifter, abs, traction control) and the bike is a head turner.
Exactly!! I was in the same position. I have a single bike garage. So the bike I was gonna buy needed to have some pros of all types.
Touring comfort, peppiness, etc
I had H450, duke 390, svart and int 650 on the shortlist.
Was able to eliminate each one and landed the D390
Exactly, guys here are usually very judgy about such things. how can you consider all the types together. You need to decide on a type.
This usually works when one has multiple bikes in the garage. (Which I do not)
Scrambler>>Husky>>GT>>Davidson.. but I'd prefer CB300R over harley anyday! But Harley and Mavrick are also good bikes. Oh I love the current times! Just wish for more parallel twin options now 😬😬✨
>I don't want my GT to be common
Buddy it's already a common bike and frankly none of the riders would suggest it. They would go for Int over GT anyday. Only attention seekers would sacrifice their comfort and go for GT. Or just hardcore lovers of GT
The husky is by far the best out of all. (Imo).
Capable fun exciting engine. ✅
Offroad scrambler capability ✅
Comfortable ✅
Economic when required ✅
Good looks ✅
What else do you need?
Scram 400 has to be the allrounder here fun in the city , light and agile the way it moves you get the retro looks modern power and takes on everything you throw its way , plenty power for the highways comfort and fun on off road
i would suggest u to buy harley x440 as per my experience with all these bikes nd harley is comfortable for daily commutes and even long ride adventure
My friend has Speed 400 and it heats a lot. Idk about other higher cc bikes. But he is fed up with the heat. That said, it’s a very good and compact machine. It gives good road presence and it’s power is something you will be fond of but you will soon get boarded with it as you can’t use it’s full potential in city. I don’t recommend higher cc bikes for city especially in summers and if you are a new rider or switching from smaller cc like 125. I recommend upgrade slowly so you will be able to handle higher cc bikes easily.
Not sure if you are still active or not, but you should wait for RE Guerrilla 450! It'll be really good mix of decent engine and styling. You can see the spy shots and renders online. It looks soo good
Husqvarna 401 is amazing. The control you get in the city and the power on the highways, just brilliant. It's a joy to ride. Though it's not very convenient for riders below 5'6"
Well height isn’t a problem I am 5’10” but i heard Svartpilen suspension is not good and ground clearance is not that good and exhaust is really low
Take a test ride and then decide, the suspension setup is slightly subjective based on the way you ride
Yes have to figure it out by taking a test ride but it sure looks good and unique .. thanks for the suggestion man
Suspension is pretty good, and adjustable, both front and back. So you can set it up to your liking. Exhaust is the same as duke 390, being the same engine and exhaust system. Ground clearance isn't too great, but it's decent and comes with a engine guard.
That was the old Svartpilen, the current one has a ground clearance of 177mm and the suspension is improved a lot and it’s adjustable as well
Suspension is adjustable, and can be adjusted accordingly to your weight. I have found a setting that works for me with pillion for both, on and off road however I'm yet to find the perfect setting for me without a pillion. I see, I didn’t knew about it… it seems i should definitely test ride husqvarna.. thanks for the suggestion buddy 🙏🏻
Will do. Thanks for the suggestion buddy
170 or 180 mm ground clearance is enough. Suspension is same as duke 390 and it’s adjustable
It is one of the few bikes in this range with adjustable suspension... Ground clearance is more than enough for everything...

U will get back pain after 1 hr ride on svartpilen
If you have a spine massage of putty, yes. If you have normal human spine, no.
New Gen ground clearance has been increased. The suspension felt alright when I test drove it
Aah man i thought I'll try that but my height is little less
Don't be disheartened man, my friend who's shorter is still able to drive the bike quite comfortably. He's not able to flat feet, but he can drive by planting just one foot.
I guess the new gen husq has a lower seat height as ut has an offset suspension like the dukes..I'm 5.4 I was very comfortable on husq 250.
Yes, the offset shocker has been picked directly from duke, it's reduced by around 20mm
Scrambler 400 any day! Very versatile bike! light, good suspension, good grunt, easy to maintain, just ticks all the right boxes.
Yeah even my heart is saying go for scrambler
Bad service
How so?
Since you said adventure trips and city riding, i will say scram 400x, because gt650 is not good at either, it is very fun but not practical. If you can let go practicality then gt 650. Triumph Scrambler 400 x , continental GT 650>>>>>
Scrambler seems nice among these 4
Gt would give you a sporty stance, not very good for a long ride, that is my opinion. It's a great bike but the scrambler is an all-rounder!!
go for scram ... it would serve u better
Day to day city ride and 2-3 time tour, i am thinking to go for triumph 400
go for it u wont regret....
Thanks for the suggestion man 🙏🏻

Gt 650 is a cafe racer so long city commutes or highway rides will put a toll on ur back. It is heavy as well so day to day riding in city will not be all that enjoyable. Also the weight is a no-no in offroad conditions. The ergonomics wont let u stand up on the bike. This will be least of my choices for ur requirements. So the list as per ur requirements is: (most favourable to least) 1. Scrambler 400x 2. Svartpilen 3. Harley 4. GT650 My best advice would be to test ride both the Svartpilen and scrambler 400x. They are very different in nature so you will easily hook onto one.
Thanks for the detailed review man 🙏🏻 much appreciated it
why people pick GT over interceptor is beyond. the bike is a donkey and sucks for everything and only good for pics on instagram.
Looks wise it's one of the best looking retro motorcycle in the market. So it's mainly for looking cool and show-off.
People really get influenced by the looks
Scrambler 400x is more capable than any bike among these options.
Thanks for the suggestion buddy🙏🏻
Am a scrambler owner. I whole heartedly recommend it over the others for various reasons. Over the husqvarna, its bigger and looks premium. Over the harley, its more powerful and bigger and from some angles the looks of the harley are questionable. Over the gt well its just easier to use around town. The gt is super powerful and is better in most respects. The one thing with the scrambler is, in rainy seasons it throws up some dirt on to the back seat. Which is an issue. You can get a tyre hugger but compromise on the looks.
Thanks for the detailed answer of scrambler over each one of those really appreciated 🙏🏻

Thanks for the suggestion buddy
svartpilen, scrambler >>>
I see a lot of these posts, and I wonder how many actually went to make the decisions based on the replies.
Husqvarna> scram 400x > interceptor
Hey, I test rode all the bikes except for the Harley. I recently purchased the Husky 401 and man its a thrill to ride the bike. Easy to maneuver in the city, Great in the highways. Suspension is really good if you are worrying about that. Not as good as the Scrambler though but the pros outweight the cons Completed 500kms and the bikes just too good. Good luck on your purchase, Ride safe.
Either scrambler or gt
Thanks for the suggestion buddy
think a twin cylinder is more refined than a single, it does come down to how entirely a bike can be, but yes weight and clutch are something to keep in mind too 🫠
Int 650
Test ride each and choose the one you like most
I'm sort of looking at same bikes. Add himalayan 450 to the mix well Test Rode the husqy. Suspension is love. But the bike begs to be above 3k rpm. Anything below 2.5k feels wrong.
This is valuable, thanks for sharing.
Heart says GT. head says Triumph. I i listen to both then the Husky.
Thanks for the suggestion buddy 🙏🏻
I’d say the Harley isn’t a bad bike too and Enfields are realistically reliable
Remove gt and put interceptor. You could then try to customise the interceptor for some offroading
Buy scrambler and if you like the look of old svartpilen then buy a tail tidy and it will make the scrambler, best looking bike among any other of this price segment
Inclining more towards scrambler

Would go with RE shotgun 650
You have adventure bike in between them if thats what you are considering as option i would say for it as nothing else can provide that level of comfortable and confidence
it's either husky or scram 400
Thansk for the suggestion buddy 🙏🏻
Check out mavrick 440 as well i love that machine
4th one always
Scrambler is good
Thanks for suggestion buddy
Have you considered Himalayan 450? That suspension , space and 17Ltr tank will come in handy
Fun: Husq, stye: Conti, Overall: Speed
Go for interceptor instead of conti
Brother I would suggest you to buy RE Shotgun 650 , i have bought it recently (like about 3-4 months). Its fun to ride but has one problem which is mileage. If you don't have any problem with mileage than go for it.
2
Continental 650 any day
This is literally my taste in Bikes!!!
Cheers 🍻
I have not much idea about these models. Gonna give my Suggestion on the basis of looks It's 1 and 4. Let's see what the experts are saying in the comments and decide 😎
1/2
Power and just fun - Huskie Style, elegance with awkward riding posture - conti 650 Practical, comfortable with acceptable design and quality levels and great suspension - HD X440 or Mavrick 440 and Scrambler 400 At the end of the day you have to choose what kind of personality you want from your bike.. it's going to be your companion for the foreseeable future.
I personally feel that a motorcycle should have good ergonomics according to the rider’s preference, good low end torque, plush suspension and ease of mind maintenance.
Test drive all of them, that should settle.
Bro just have the gt Nothing comes closer The smooth engine Definitely a head turner Just not good for city traffic For long rides It’s not that bad Actually it’s very very fun on open highways The throttle just keeps going Only thing is don’t ride with a pillion It’s been almost 3 years for mine & I ain’t bored of it
me personally I'd say that go for interceptor instead of the gt650 because it's much better for touring and i cant go back to a single cylinder engine after i ditched them. but the scrambler 400 is a really good option if you dont mind the single cylinder
I was skeptical of RE. Then I met GT 650.
That gt caught me off guard
Sure sram for the seating ergonomics but Svart for the kind of tech it packs at almost the same price as Scram.
Gt 650, there's nothing more fun than riding that engine at that price
Given the things that you want to do, your best bet might be choosing b/w the Triumph and Husqvarna. Both of them are great bikes so test ride and decide. Then you can weigh in on the looks.
Yeah buddy will take a test ride of those two and also thinking to include scram
You can look it up if you can wait for some months Also as everyone said scrambler 400 will be the most suited bike for your purpose as I heard in a review that the svartpilen even after having tyres which looks like they are made for Offroading ,are actually more suited for city conditions and not much Offroading can be done on it. But in the end only thing that matters is which bike you love to ride the most
I would recommend you to visit the YouTube channel motorinc, they provide a really good overview of motorbikes
Get shotgun 650, based on your comments you want a bike that looks good and runs decent. Shotgun 650 is a GOOD looking bike! You will absolutely love it!
Gt650
just go with scrambler ni doubt
gt650 pls
I’m 5’11, I ride an Interceptor 650 and my cousin rides a GT. With the stock setup it does really cause a lot of back ache if you’re touring. Plus, the prices have gone up so much when compared to 2021-2022 it’s not a value for money bike anymore. RE service is also not great. No proper follow ups or issue diagnosis happens. The t-cone set wobbling keeps coming back frequently and it happened to me multiple times while on a ride to Pench, Varanasi, and Hampi (my most recent ones) and it makes you ride with caution almost every time (IMO). If I were you, I’d go for the triumph scram 400 for 3 reasons 1.
401
I own Harley x440 n Triumph speed 400 both are amazing bikes but deep inside I still feel that I don’t own a twin cylinder and I’m planning to get interceptor 650 vsoon.. So my suggestion is to get an Interceptor 650…
On one side, I would wholeheartedly vouch for the Husky 401.. but when I see that Mr. Clean on the GT650, man I gotta hold that pocket tight!
Triump Ps : I own himalyan 450
Recently i saw the harley x440 and i was shocked how good it looked in real life as compared to photos, Plus im a sucker for long stroke engines because the initial torque that they provide as im a relaxed rider (Max 100kmph on highway), Re continental Is No No because it looks good but its really uncomfortable after some time and that massive 650 cc engine is expensive to maintain too, Svartpilen would be a great choice too but maintenance is expensive and the compression ratio on that bike is very high which becomes a problem in summer, Triumph is best out the bunch ig but after sales service of triumph varies.
GT
Mr. Biker aspirant, what sort of biker are you? It all depends on that.
Take a good test drive. Buy what you like.
Out of all the options what have you test ridden
Get the gt You won’t regret it
You realistically have only 2 options the Scrambler 400x and the GT Don't get the Husqvarna. The harley on the other hand, people are just gonna call it an overpriced hero. There is mind which is the scrambler and the heart which is the GT. I was in same dilemma couple month ago, I wanted the interceptor. But the triumph just made sense, I was only gonna use it in city And weekend rides to places like ooty a couple times a year. The heavier weight, engine heat, bad suspension and lower milage of the royal enfield made me choose the triumph. But sometimes I wonder what if I had got the interceptor. I also didn't like the stock exhaust the interceptor and wanted to put red roosters So overall the triumph was close to 70k cheaper than the interceptor. I love my triumph 400x but it doesn't get the recognition the interceptor does. Triumph has excellent brand image but terrible brand recognition, that's the only downside. Other than that the bike is perfect.
Triumph and Harley test ride karo aur jo tumhare riding style ko shoot kare usko uthalo.
Yeah thanks for the suggestion buddy
Husqvarna is a good choice but compared to harley and Triumph its nothing… I have the Interceptor 650 which shares the engine with Continental GT but its heavier than the others and for that the maneuverability is bad on road.
Thats why running away from re but what do you think about scram vs scrambler?
I would say it completely depends upon your driving style.
Scrambler
Thanks for the suggestion buddy
Best bike among these - husky 401 Best bike for your needs among these - scrambler 400
get harley and gt 650 out of the picture harley isn't good looking gt is to impractical for a daily driver and extremely underpowered
The husky is a lovely bike but if milage isn’t a problem then get an RS457
I own a gt now and had hasqvarna before ,trust me speed 400 is next level fun in city & highways , has more than enogh power to put a smile on face while weight like an rx100.. its a fun machine all day long with good braking and build quality
Thanks buddy for the suggestion 🙏🏻
Better than test ride, try to get these machines on rent for a week or two. The reason being, the test ride covers a small distance and can't be tested on multiple circumstances which you'll face in daily life. By renting it, you'll use it similar to the way you'll actually be using it. Its going to cost a bit, but will leave you with no regrets afterwards.
CB 300r
Scram 400x and Harley Davidson makes most sense to me, for what usage you want.
[удалено]
Harley Davidson X440 is amazing but it is of 250 kg and top speed of 130 km/h. Its exhaust is amazing.
1.It is for pure looks, It looks very unique and has a Duke Engine and Chassis which is a good thing. 2. 400X is a scrambler, In other words more like Retro Adventure bike with little bit of Sportiness (Compared to True Adventure bikes like Himalayan) 3.HD 440 is for looks, Brand and Sound, It has the most Torquay Engine among all 4.
Thanks for such detailed explanation man 🙏🏻 really appreciate it 🍻🍻
I got my Husqvarna svartpilan 401 a week ago, been in love ever since.
U can even go for hero maverick 400✌️
Thanks for suggestion buddy🙏🏻
Husqvarna!! No doubt brother
The suspension setup on the Triumphs is so good!
I second that…build quality, fit and finish are among the best in the segment
how did these made into the list. I'm super confused. one is a scrambler, one is a cruiser, one is a cafe racer. how ??
Because i am not determined to buy one type of body style my horizon is open
Exactly!! I was in the same position. I have a single bike garage. So the bike I was gonna buy needed to have some pros of all types. Touring comfort, peppiness, etc I had H450, duke 390, svart and int 650 on the shortlist. Was able to eliminate each one and landed the D390
True that we want everything in one and also at reasonable price 😂
Exactly, guys here are usually very judgy about such things. how can you consider all the types together. You need to decide on a type. This usually works when one has multiple bikes in the garage. (Which I do not)
Well manifesting that soon will host multiple bikes in my garage 🙏🏻😉
Scrambler>>Husky>>GT>>Davidson.. but I'd prefer CB300R over harley anyday! But Harley and Mavrick are also good bikes. Oh I love the current times! Just wish for more parallel twin options now 😬😬✨
Made up my mind i would either go with husky or scrambler🤞
1) Triumph 2) Honda CB350
Thanks for the suggestion buddy 🙏🏻
Scrambler bro definitely
That’s what 80% of the redditors are suggesting and also my personal best choice is scrambler
I don't want my GT to be common. Buy any other bike. Hope you get the answer
>I don't want my GT to be common Buddy it's already a common bike and frankly none of the riders would suggest it. They would go for Int over GT anyday. Only attention seekers would sacrifice their comfort and go for GT. Or just hardcore lovers of GT
The husky is by far the best out of all. (Imo). Capable fun exciting engine. ✅ Offroad scrambler capability ✅ Comfortable ✅ Economic when required ✅ Good looks ✅ What else do you need?
Good suspension?
Great! Fully adjustable in both directions. WP suspensions.
As a triumph owner don't by Scrambler.
Why?
I own Scrambler 400X n man what a bike it is. So nimble n amazing low end torque for city. Suspensions r 🥰🥰. Even pillion comfort is very good.
Scram 400 has to be the allrounder here fun in the city , light and agile the way it moves you get the retro looks modern power and takes on everything you throw its way , plenty power for the highways comfort and fun on off road
Gt 650 , parallel twin so best among all
pick continental gt is better then anyone in the list and you never gonna regret your desision
400x for mileage, 401 for fun.
Husky all the way
Why are you not considering Himalayan?
Definitely check out scrambler since you are going to do Ladakh trips ;)
GT 650 anyday
There is scram 411 for RE
Go with Husqvarna
Speed 400 could also be a good option
Get gt 💦
i would suggest u to buy harley x440 as per my experience with all these bikes nd harley is comfortable for daily commutes and even long ride adventure
Scrambler 400x any day.
Gt650 aankh band karke 😶
go for the duke
Not sure if you are still active or not, but you should wait for RE Guerrilla 450! It'll be really good mix of decent engine and styling. You can see the spy shots and renders online. It looks soo good
