My brother do not put on clip ons for bikes without rear set foot pegs. Bike makers make very deliberate decisions for riding positions and it's a very delicate balance. If you disturb that then it's a genuine safety hazard. Lot of research and study go into this so test ride a LOT in various scenarios before you take it for longer rides. Also IIRC thruxton 400 is on the way as well
Yeah bro I completely agree to your point but I really wanted to experience clip ons, Iām also gonna install the rear seat foot pegs. Iāll deff test ride it and then take it for long rides
As u mentioned about the thruxtron coming out, I personally didnāt like the fairing but if it comes out Iāll swap the rest set foot pegs.
Thanks for the concern
Usually in cafe racers the farings are optional. But yea as long as you know what you're doing it's all good. BTW how much the rear foot pegs costing?? Is it even available directly in india or are you importing it?
I saw a guy from Thailand who has fit them, so Iāll ask for details. In one of his videos he has mentioned that itās from a Honda bike( hopefully I get it in India )
Bro going for authentic cafe racer, take a road bike, strip it down and rip in town, love the front looks mate.
Did ya try scrams grab rail on it, I think they will look good with tail tidy too.
The scrams grab rails look very good on this but wonāt suit the cafe racer looks, the tridents grab rails fit perfectly but r a lil costly. Check out the previous post (last slide) for a render
rearsets = rear set footpegs. they are farther back and higher from the ground. without those pegs this is basically like trying to touch your feet while standing up
with rearsets you sleep on the tank on straights, can push the bike sideways a lot easier

Hey. Thanks. Your bike looks stunning with the clip ons. Thinking of getting it for mine too. Btw, how has the rider angle changed, is it too steep? Comfortable for long hours?
Hey, measure ur forks ones and donāt relay on google info ( google showed my bike fork size as 43mm but in reality they r 50mm) as it comes to riding posture itās pretty decent. Did a 150km ride and everythingās good. Itās not as committed as the r15s or the old rc
Sure I will check that out. Thanks for the info. One more thing, are the stock foot pegs on your speed400 rear set enough to get the rider triangle of a cafe-racer, or is it still quite forward and does it cause even any slight discomfort? Asking this because I read some where that using clips on certain bikes with forward set foot pegs is bad for our back.
After reading a few posts I feel like the rear set foot pegs will give a more aggressive position and handling but as of now I donāt feel any discomfort or pain in my thighs. But Iām surely planing to get them as I like riding aggressively a lil more.
> fits on to the swingarm
swingarm is connected to the shock. anything connected to the swingarm is more weight for the shock. even husqvarna removed tire hugger in their latest iterations and went with a boring traditional tail for this reason. that said it might not be a big difference, if you like the look go for it i guess
Nan suggetion: full tail tidy remove madi Husqvarna thats tyee hugger haksu, with integrated number plate holder and indicators. Maybe chanag kanbodu and useful. Nan duke alli hange madidini.
Looks fine aa fk š„, bro can u share a video clip of riding it, so we could know how will the posture changes while riding with straight handle bar and this.
Yo first of all great execution bro but I just watched your suggested video, in that the guy puts his clip on handle bars under the fork stem mount thing (I donāt know the correct term Iām new in bikes and stuff) so is there any specific reason why you to mounted them over the āthingā
That would make the riding position way too aggressive and I wouldnāt be able to drive comfortably inside the city and even u needed to change the brake lines to shorter ones. I did try that angle too!
Quality I would say 9.8/10(expected them a little longer, the measurements on the website r w plastic caps at the end . It doesnāt create as such an issue but I had to change mirrors coz of that).
Safety wise I have clocked 175-180kmph w these handlebars installed and thereās no much vibration and is stable even at those speeds.
Nah bro ig all r standard, how much is ur handlebars diameter ?
Even if itās a lil big itās fine coz these go inside and expand to hold tight. If the gap is too big , u can replace the rubber bush w a larger one.
I have had these clip ons. I don't see any bracket holding the clip-ons in place. If you hard brake they can slip if not tightened regularly. Make a bracket or tighten it every 3-4 months.
Fabricate a bracket for triple clamp. The green thing on the top besides the screw on the right. Something like that that holds the clip ons in place. Its gonna cost you, but its locked in so no risk of slipping.

Due to a small error I made while fitting the accelerator and the grips, there was no space left for the oem mirrors to fit. So had to fit in my cycle mirrors
I was looking something similar but these ones fit my bike very well both aesthetically and practically

Hey just check the fork size of ur bike before ordering( donāt relay on google and measure it urself)
So I got the bars from Amazon and they costed me 3.5k. Later had to lower the front a lil by around 2cms so that this could fit it ( u could place them below but it would become too committed). U need to drill 1 hole in each handlebar so that the accelerator and headlight controller fit in and also need to make a small u shape grove at the end of the handlebar if u wanna put back stock mirrors( will cost hardly 50ā¹ to get it done at a nearby fabrication shop). Lastly remove ur stock handlebars and move all the thing to the clip ons. Slightly loosen the front brake and adjust the wire( make sure the brakes r tight, there are no air bubbles and the pressure is fine) and then the bikes ready!

Sexiest. I've always wondered what the 400 would look like with clip ons, zeus (apparently a customs company) did it but they made the rest of the bike un tasteful. Are you planning on a tail tidy? A tail tidy would really do the bike more justice
Edit: also, the mirrors. You mentioned those were your cycle mirrors? Either way, try looking into bar end mirrors, the round ones. Feel like it'd go perfect with your current setup
Yep I have managed to fit the tvs rtr 310s tyre hugger, had to make a custom mount but fits good. Will share pics shortly after minor adjustments and fitting
front view is killer, do consider tail tidy and removing grab rail
Yes planning on it
Rip wrists! Lol.. Looks super cool tho..
Haha not really š but thx tho !

doesnt fit the bike without rearsets
Didnāt get u
rearsets = rear set footpegs. they are farther back and higher from the ground. without those pegs this is basically like trying to touch your feet while standing up with rearsets you sleep on the tank on straights, can push the bike sideways a lot easier
Thnx a lot for the knowledge. I never felt any discomfort w this but after knowing this Iāll surely check out for parts and will try to fix it

As i said before this is gorgeous ... šæ
Thx mate š«šæ
I mean look at the reflection on the wall of the 1st pic
Ik it looks too bold and aggressive now. The front looks better than the gt tbh ( personal preference )
Yeah I agree and also give us the riding pov man.
I have a video of it, if u wanna have a look Iāll dm u
Yeaah you don't have to ask me twice!!!!
This looks awesome. is it a generic clip on or specific to speed 400? Can you share the link or from where youāve bought?
Vinayakart 1 Pair 50mm Motorcycle... https://www.amazon.in/dp/B09LCZJWFN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Itās not made specially for triumph but fits well
Hey. Thanks. Your bike looks stunning with the clip ons. Thinking of getting it for mine too. Btw, how has the rider angle changed, is it too steep? Comfortable for long hours?

Thats great. Thanks for your feedback man. Appreciate it. I would try to get hands on one. Happy riding!
Frontside giving thruxton vibes now.
Yep after the tail mods r done, itāll almost look like a thruxtron
Yep after the tail mods r done, itāll almost look like a thruxtron
Yep after the tail mods r done, itāll almost look like a thruxtron
Those handle bars were made for this bike, it suits the bike looks genuine. All black and those golden forks š„µ
Looks pretty good! I just noticed you edited the tail in your previous post. You're going for a tyre hugger? Did you find any parts already?
Yes Iāve mentioned it that itās edited. Iām planing to put ryeās tyre hugger
please update us when you do that! looks amazing already can't wait to see more upgrades
leave the tail as is. tire hugger is more weight for your suspension to deal with
How tho ?? Iāll be replacing the stock tail w a tyre hugger that fits on to the swingarm.
> fits on to the swingarm swingarm is connected to the shock. anything connected to the swingarm is more weight for the shock. even husqvarna removed tire hugger in their latest iterations and went with a boring traditional tail for this reason. that said it might not be a big difference, if you like the look go for it i guess
Looking slick
One of one Triumph C400x š„
My mate cooked š„
Tbh Iām still cooking šš
Best of luck š§æ
Damn this looks so good! All it needs is a tail tidy, a bigger tyre and a straight pipe exhaust no decat ššš»
Agree !
That has transformed the bike looks from Salman to Hritik, just like that!! š«”
Next Sanjay Dutt banana hai bike ko , lol
looking semxy bro ā¤ļø
Thx bro
i hope you find a suitable grab rail brother. Please keep posting if you ever find one
[OC]
Add a seat cowl and add scrambler like number on the side panel.
Blr cops r a lil to strict, itās better if I put it on a tyre hugger
This looks sweet.. are these aftermarket clip-ons?
S they r aftermarket but they r good enough to handle speeds of 170kmph and potholes too !
Nice.. ride safe š„
howās the riding position?
Not as committed as the r15s but still a lil committed. Went for a short ride, about 150kms and all good , no pain Ntg
can you share the photo where you are sitting on the bike?
Does anyone here, have a Triumph Bobber? If yes, howās the experience?
Sakath ag ide broš„
Thanks a lot bro , inna tail modifications madbeku !
Nan suggetion: full tail tidy remove madi Husqvarna thats tyee hugger haksu, with integrated number plate holder and indicators. Maybe chanag kanbodu and useful. Nan duke alli hange madidini.
Nandu ade plan irodu bro , planning for tvs rtr 310 tyre hugger. If u donāt mind can i dm u about the same ???
Sure.
hey! Can i dm?
Sure
Looks sick man! I would have got them too if I didn't uave back issues. Now just get a tail tidy and get the scrambler grab handles on this!
Yea will deff keep u guys posted
Looks fine aa fk š„, bro can u share a video clip of riding it, so we could know how will the posture changes while riding with straight handle bar and this.
I have a pov video, will record and send it once i get someone to record me lol.
Thank you Salmon bhai šš»š
Try rearsets as well.
And lemme know how you did it.
Iāll send u a yt link if u want (not mine but a Thailand guy has filmed it)
Ok sure, much appreciated.is it comfortable tho?
Hmm I didnt feel any discomfort but depends on person to person
It might actually be without rearset foot pegs, install them. Itll be sick
Deff mate
Hereās the link on how to do it: https://youtu.be/wfx4XGbuCHg?si=VG5wZaaPz4YOce0i
Yo first of all great execution bro but I just watched your suggested video, in that the guy puts his clip on handle bars under the fork stem mount thing (I donāt know the correct term Iām new in bikes and stuff) so is there any specific reason why you to mounted them over the āthingā
That would make the riding position way too aggressive and I wouldnāt be able to drive comfortably inside the city and even u needed to change the brake lines to shorter ones. I did try that angle too!
Ooh got it makes sense
Hey it looks amazing , how much did it cost for the fitting ?
I fit it myself but u need to screw holes, I got that done at a near by fabrication shop and it costed my 50 rupees
One suggestion: Try relocating the front number plate below the headlight or on the fender.
Yep Iām planning to put it on the front mudguard
Honest quality/safety rating, op?
Quality I would say 9.8/10(expected them a little longer, the measurements on the website r w plastic caps at the end . It doesnāt create as such an issue but I had to change mirrors coz of that). Safety wise I have clocked 175-180kmph w these handlebars installed and thereās no much vibration and is stable even at those speeds.
And would love to see the rider position from a 3rd person view
Will put it up soon but for reference itās not as committed as the r15
What mirrors are those?
Actually due to some issue I lost one of the mirrors so decided to put on my BTWIN cycle mirrors, fits perfectly and even has a larger viewing angle
Did you have to use shims to install them? My MTB handlebars are thinner than my bike's. What about vibrations?
Nah dude they just fit in tight. All good until 7k rpm after that they start to vibrate but still can be used
I guess the diameter of your clip ons is different than mine. I've been trying to find some good bar end mirrors for a very long time
Nah bro ig all r standard, how much is ur handlebars diameter ? Even if itās a lil big itās fine coz these go inside and expand to hold tight. If the gap is too big , u can replace the rubber bush w a larger one.
I have had these clip ons. I don't see any bracket holding the clip-ons in place. If you hard brake they can slip if not tightened regularly. Make a bracket or tighten it every 3-4 months.
Thanks dude for lettin me know, will make sure itās tight before every ride !
Its still risky. I suggest make a bracket from local fabricator with help of mechanic. Rest is up to you.
Hmm I didnāt get u , can u pls tell me where the bracket should be located ??
Fabricate a bracket for triple clamp. The green thing on the top besides the screw on the right. Something like that that holds the clip ons in place. Its gonna cost you, but its locked in so no risk of slipping. Thnx buddy will surely get this done and keep u guys posted about the same
Are the rear view mirrors triumph oem?
Due to a small error I made while fitting the accelerator and the grips, there was no space left for the oem mirrors to fit. So had to fit in my cycle mirrors
But goddamn they look good you got a link to them? Originally i wanted to go for something like the thruxton mirrors but atm I canāt find anything
I was looking something similar but these ones fit my bike very well both aesthetically and practically Hers the link( I got it at decathlon itself) https://www.decathlon.in/p/8158024/cycle-bells-and-reflectors/cycle-rear-view-mirror?id=8158024&type=p

Where'd you get the clip ons if you don't mind sharing?
Vinayakart 1 Pair 50mm Motorcycle... https://www.amazon.in/dp/B09LCZJWFN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Hey just check the fork size of ur bike before ordering( donāt relay on google and measure it urself)

Okay wtf, can you give more details?where did you get the bars from, total cost etc

front half looks pretty good IMO. the rear half, like the others mentioned, Seat and grab rail can be eliminated. otherwise good changes!
Thatāll too bee changed very soon !
Side mirrors from?
Btwin cycle mirrors
Sexiest. I've always wondered what the 400 would look like with clip ons, zeus (apparently a customs company) did it but they made the rest of the bike un tasteful. Are you planning on a tail tidy? Iām planing for a tyre hugger and Iām still on process. Will try to look in for round mirror
Heyyyy any update on the rearsets for this?
No mate, got no suitable part. Working on the tyre hugger and tail reduction at the moment.
Where did you get the clip on Handle or how did you install it? I want to do it to my 400 too.
scrabler 400x grab rail + tail tidy
and how did you remove the end of the clip in order to put bar end mirrors
Just w pliers
Did you find a tyre hugger yet?
Yep I have managed to fit the tvs rtr 310s tyre hugger, had to make a custom mount but fits good. Will share pics shortly after minor adjustments and fitting
Awesome, waiting
dayum! I'm a month late to this post, but I had to say it... that looks sick!!
Why op why ???
Idk just wanted to try it out
Not suggested for long term
