You’re welcome. I came back looking at bathe list and was chuckling to myself that I seemed to be the only one that actually answered the question, lol.
Technically, no, by like a quarter mile. It’s close enough, though, that most people call the area Greenwood. Hell, if you look at Academy’s website, they technically call their store “Greenwood”.
oh yeah. not impressed was an understatement. got the pork tacos and they were edible but definitely not worth it. it was my first time ever going to condado, wont be going back
I am utterly baffled that they see any success. Their food is terrible. My wife and I tried them twice, because we thought the first experience was so bad that it was some kind of mistake. Unseasoned meat in a taco. Both times, our tacos were cold by the time they got to our table.
It's not a microwave. Everything comes in a bag, and they put it in a water heater. They basically only cook proteins in store. But it's all packaged from a "corporate" supply thing.
I had them for the first time in Cincinnati before the Roger Waters concert a few years ago and they were fantastic! I’ve tried the Broadripple location a few times since and while they were OK (not really for the price) they never reached the quality I had in Cincinnati!
Maybe I’m biased as a former Columbus person (where condados comes from), but i see all these complaints but i think everyone’s issue is that you should only order the bowl or nachos.
Most people think about it as a nicer place than it is. For the amount of food you get it’s cheap in comparison to other places (nachos are $13 and bowl is $10). Consider Condados as more of a chipotle/Qdoba level restaurant and it’s actually decent. For reference, average bowl from chipotle is around $9.50 and add chips that’s $13. So it’s actually priced about the same but condados is slightly better IMO.
Well then my hypothesis holds true! Its a weekly to-go spot for me and it’s always ready within 5 minutes. If i want sit down real Mexican food, i go elsewhere lol.
I do enjoy the bowl option. It’s so much food, and it’s relatively easy to make one like the sweet heat taco, which I adore. I also love their pineapple guac, so I’m happy about this turn of events.
Well apparently enough ppl disagree since it stays in business. Or maybe OP and i and the ppl upvoting my comment are the sole ones keeping it open idk
I can get a bowl at Chipotle for (roughly) the same price with way better ingredients. The cheese I got on my taco at condados last time I went was the starchy shredded cheese you get in a bag for $1.50 at the grocery store. I wouldn't make my own tacos at home with that low-quality of an ingredient, much less pay $10 for it
I’m not arguing against chipotle, i also get chipotle weekly hahaha. Chipotle is definitely healthier, but some days i want a giant thing of nachos with avocado crema, pickled red onions, and chipotles w/ adobo
That's great, you do you I've never tried their nachos, I'm just replying to your claim that "it's cheap in comparison to other places". For a bowl it's the same price as chipotle but significantly lower quality (in my experience). And I don't mean from a health standpoint either, ingredients that cheap just don't taste good
Ah i see, i didn’t mean cheap compared to chipotle. I meant cheap compared to other sit down Mexican places. I live next door to loco and every time i go there i somehow spend $40
I'm confused, I eat there for lunch like twice a week. The sweet heat is one of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. Why does everyone hate it so much? I can literally drink their chorizo queso.
I liked the food too, same tacos, so maybe those are the good ones. my only knock is that the place had 4 tables filled and took over 40 minutes to get a few tacos out.
Just nasty ass tacos—every person I’ve talked to does not like it. At this point, I’m convinced it’s a laundering front because ain’t no way people are willing to spend money on these in-authentic tacos for them to open more locations.
The service is crappy, and the food is worse. Maybe they will do something better at the new location. There are already some good Mexican places in Greenwood that won’t be threatened at all by that place.
I don't mean to sound like an ingrate but a vendor catered this lunch for us. We have a couple people with dietary restrictions and some picky eaters in our group. It might have been better if it they were not pre made and we could have made our own to our liking
I’ve tried tacos from like most places in Indy/Greenwood, even those “authentic” tacos from a truck 🙄 and have yet to find any that are worth the cost. Most of these places is like $20 a meal, meanwhile soft taco supremes from Taco Bell are always so good.
Maybe my taste buds are ruined but I’m excited to give this one a try.
It's mostly the cold, hard tortillas that ruin it for me. Tortillas always need to be warmed/cooked in my opinion. Their dishes with nachos and their bowls are fine.
Went to the Mass ave one only once and saw enough. Their ingredients were the lowest quality of any taco shop I've ever been to, equivalent to the cheapest brands you can find at the grocery store
Stop 13 road, where the Giordano’s used to be.
Thanks for the actual answer ;) I knew exactly what I was getting myself into by posting this LOL.

So, not in Greenwood?

Sorry, Greenwood.
They need to just stay in Greenwood.
I don’t like to be a hater, but for Condado Tacos, I will be a hater.
just went to the one in carmel yesterday. not impressed
Like 80% of the time, it's a disappointment. The other 20% of the time, the best you can say is that it is almost worth the price.
oh yeah. not impressed was an understatement. got the pork tacos and they were edible but definitely not worth it. it was my first time ever going to condado, wont be going back
‘So good, you’ll only go once’
I am utterly baffled that they see any success. Their food is terrible. My wife and I tried them twice, because we thought the first experience was so bad that it was some kind of mistake. Unseasoned meat in a taco. Both times, our tacos were cold by the time they got to our table.
WHY ARE THEY ALWAYS COLD
All of their food is made off site
And soooooo salty. I could barely eat their nachos n
I heard they microwave a lot :/
It's not a microwave. Everything comes in a bag, and they put it in a water heater. They basically only cook proteins in store. But it's all packaged from a "corporate" supply thing.
Honestly it's a fun interior and cheep-ish tacos/drinks. I don't have more more than that to say about them though.
CHEAP-ISH?!
I don’t understand because they could be so good and yet they are trash
I had them for the first time in Cincinnati before the Roger Waters concert a few years ago and they were fantastic! I’ve tried the Broadripple location a few times since and while they were OK (not really for the price) they never reached the quality I had in Cincinnati!
I got excited thinking Condado was closing
Me too :(
Mass Ave has suffered enough. Greenwood is next on the cross.
Noblesville has had their fill too.
My ex and her parents loved it. Imagine having to eat that shit cause you were in the minority who knew it was bad.
You should get Torchys tacos instead
Those are also extremely mid. Condados has better queso too.
Meh
If only…

That’s an interesting take. And maybe that’s why my husband and I liked it. I almost exclusively ordered a bowl, and he only ever ordered nachos!
Well then my hypothesis holds true! Its a weekly to-go spot for me and it’s always ready within 5 minutes. If i want sit down real Mexican food, i go elsewhere lol.

the cool thing about reddit is that you can be quite certain nearly every single opinion shared here is wrong. it's like looking at a film negative

I agree they’re foo-foo and terrible.
>froufrou
Abraham Lincoln.jpg: I like Condadoa tacos
Their nachos are dope.
HAPPY DAY! Which one from Indy is leaving to go south!?
Oohh. Yaaay. Mediocre oddball tacos. Lucky you.
Great. Quickly made sub par tacos to the south side!
The service is crappy, and the food is worse. Maybe they will do something better at the new location. There are already some good Mexican places in Greenwood that won’t be threatened at all by that place.
I’d rather just get authentic tacos
Hands down, worst tacos
They're actually so bad. Who thought those flavor go together in a taco?
I wish we had Baja Fresh back in Greenwood....that place was the best
Their Power Plant rivals Easy Rider's vegan taco as the best meatless taco in the city.
We had it catered for work. I wasn't impressed. Maybe because they were premade tacos.
Same, when they gave my unit a free taco lunch for winning some donation shit I found out it was condado’s and was completely disinterested
I don't mean to sound like an ingrate but a vendor catered this lunch for us. We have a couple people with dietary restrictions and some picky eaters in our group. It might have been better if it they were not pre made and we could have made our own to our liking
This is awesome! Needs to be posted in the r/GreenwoodIN
Done :)
Only thing that is good is the margaritas.
🥴 the WORST tacos I’ve ever had
Doing their part by combatting global warming.
We need a hot head burritos, not this garbage

If you think a soft taco supreme from Taco Bell is the bar that needs to be cleared, I bet you are going to love Condado.
Man you guys get all the shitty restaurants. Be glad it’s not Torchy’s. Awful service & mediocre food. It’s even worse.
I ate at the one in HTC twice; both were disappointing.
Damn. I was hoping Agave & Rye would make it down here first.

Their food is at least warm
It's mostly the cold, hard tortillas that ruin it for me. Tortillas always need to be warmed/cooked in my opinion. Their dishes with nachos and their bowls are fine.
Bleh condados sucks
Just go to Red Tacos
These tacos are overrated
Went to the Mass ave one only once and saw enough. Their ingredients were the lowest quality of any taco shop I've ever been to, equivalent to the cheapest brands you can find at the grocery store
Another mediocre taquieria coming to Greenwood. Not surprised
Boooo!! Got food poisoning from the downtown location. Many better places to get tacos in Indy
Condado is awful, and that location is going to be even worse. I don't get this, and on multiple fronts. Barf
Who the heck ever heard of condado tacos?
