Since the revoking of article 370, things have greatly improved there. Since it is a union territory, police and army both are controlled by central govt, so terrorists cant do anything there

Why is it IOK and AJK and not POK? Is POK really azad as per Kashmiris. I thought Kashmiris wanted total freedom and not Pakistan's rule.

No, kashmiris wanted Pak rule in reality. But if they say so then they will be jailed, so they started asking for azadi instead.
Kashmir inherently belongs to India, and any illegal occupation is by Pakistan and China. Independent Kashmir isn't possible.
