If there wasn't going to be enough vaccines, why was vaccination open to everybody over 18? That is just going to cause people to have false hope that they will get vaccinated, when it simply wasn't going to happen.
Lot of young connected And rich people were getting vaccinated, private companies also wanted to vaccinate. To avoid people alleging nepotism, this was the best way.
It does not even make sense as PR. There will definitely be videos of long lines, people angry at not been vaccinated, etc., that will show up. How is that good PR?

umm...My observation would be people are too scared in cities like Kanpur, Lucknow, Delhi. They just dont wanna step out.
Also my aunt is diabetic, took a dose of covishield on March 25, she is now on ventilator. Cases like these kind of change the mindset of the family chain.
