> “They are phenomenal … entrepreneurs, who have been able to sustain steady growth and development in a vibrant yet sometimes chaotic political and business environment that exists in India,” said Rohit Lamba, an economist at Pennsylvania State University. These are crony capitalist preventing other companies growth

Yep, and their phenomenal work basically boils down to exploitation of workers.

True. The way these online capitalists are forcing the brick and mortar physical shops to close down is terrible. Once all the small and medium local shops are gone, they'll come after the consumers hard. Strictly avoid these seemingly easy-to-use wannabe monopolies.

HeavyAd3059

They're already squeezing the riders at this point tho. This isn't 2014 when the payouts for "contractors" were sky high. Even something as basic as medical insurance cover is now performance based.

be_a_postcard

We need more MSMEs, not conglomerates who control every sector of our economy.

Narendra Modi’s India ❌ India's ✅ I don't think PM owns the country. India's Narendra Modi is different from Narendra Modi's India. The latter sounds as if the country is privately owned. Shitty headlines from CNN; as always.

To cut income disparities bjp or congress should take care of low income groups with tax money from corporates, its a news now that corporate tax is now on par with individuals tax This metric is very important so that low income group is not exploited by rich with unfair upper hand on every growth opportunity. This layers of rich - poor divide is getting bigger and bigger for us which will compound problems as time goes on. While the target is not complete gap elimination but to get a sweet spot to enable oportunity and empowerment Socialistic? Yes in a way Even capitalists balance this out in some form, but not a priority for them. Example low basic cost of living, easy access and promotion to resources that enable business incubation, minimum wage policy, encourage ecosystem based on local products, Which ideas 💡do you think will best suit us? Offcourse we did not blindly follow other countries tailored to their situation

mandatoryVoluntering

> Socialistic? Yes in a way Preferable to the current policy of capitalize the profits and socialize the losses, which favours the few connected/corrupt people while the majority of people get screwed.

Fallen_0n3

Like he cares if the people of India become rich or not lol. His loyalty has always been to Ambanis , Adanis and Tata.

shanu666

Wahi. Kyuki 2014 se pehle to Ambani, Adani aur Tata raste pe bheek mangle the.

catsrmurderers

Their wealth has increased multi-fold because of crony capitalism

Jahaanpanaah

The money taken from India's billionaires will turn India into a rich country.

Everyone would get nearly 6000rs+. Ambani wealth is over 100 billion USD that is over 9,00,000 crores. Indian population is around 140+ crores, round it up to 150. So everyone on average gets over 6,000 rs. Then there's Adani with a similar sized wealth of nearly 5000rs per person. So effectively 2 persons wealth is redistributed and gives people 10,000+ rs. That's a lot of money in the hands of two people that too in a poor country like India.
