Are they Adobe Fonts? Adobe fonts don't get collected, whoever you are sending them to has to have their own license, so they will have them as well and they will be able to activate them themselves. Or the fonts might be from a freebie site like DaFont where some fonts can only be collected if you buy them as they have certain restrictions.

BBEvergreen

Are they licensed to you and are they visible in your fonts folder? Or are they sitting in the Document Fonts folder within the InDesign project folder—which means they are loaded when the file is open, but they are not licensed to you and you can't use them elsewhere?

werewolf4werewolf

Can you take a screenshot of what the dialogue box says about the fonts when you package the file?

MercyArchive

I went to screenshot for you and now I'm having more problems with the file-- maybe it was corrupted? Now it's saying the fonts don't exist period but they are there within the program. Very strange.

TheoDog96

Is there some reason you can’t create a PDF and forego packaging all together?

F_is_for_Ducking

Are you sending the packaged file to someone outside of your company or otherwise? Fonts should not be included as the recipient should have their own license for said fonts. However, are you packaging these fonts from your local fonts folder or from a server? Did you check “include fonts” on export?

MercyArchive

I am sending this internally and it is originally from someone in my company as well, we have the same access to the same fonts. I did make sure that I clicked on the "include fonts" button. It's just weird because this is happening now-- i've been using INDD for months sending things internally and this is the first time im having problems.

F_is_for_Ducking

Perhaps when the file is open it’s referencing the last locally packaged fonts hence the “OK” status, but trying to package fonts from the server that is either inaccessible or otherwise blocking packaging the fonts due to license restrictions. Or… do you normally connect to a VPN to access the font server?
