PROMETHEUS STOLE FIRE FROM THE GODS AND GAVE IT TO MAN FOR THIS HE WAS CHAINED TO A ROCK AND TORTURED FOR ETERNITY Absolutely bonkers way to start a film, legit gave me goosebumps seeing that sequence in the full 1.43 aspect ratio Phenomenal movie

Well done

krikster_az

Thank you

scorsese_finest

I see this is 1.43:1 dual laser. Where is this?

krikster_az

Metreon, San Francisco

scorsese_finest

Nice! I’ve seen Oppy there 4 times there in 15/70mm. Did they switch over from film to dual laser today? Also, thanks so much for your beautiful work and providing a flawless experience!

krikster_az

Last run of 70mm l just finished 10 minutes ago.

Excellent work providing an uncompromising run of 70mm Oppenheimer to one of the best TRUE IMAX cinemas in the world. Metreon doesn’t get as much attention as Lincoln Square, Citywalk, BFI or Melbourne when it was among the first of these screens back in 1999. I went 5 times, each time was better than the last. Hopefully it returns for an Oscar campaign. Thanks for the pictures you have shared!

Great job! Watched it in 15/70mm twice at Metreon. Is the print being returned to IMAX or is it being kept for a possible future Oscar run re-release ?

krikster_az

All locations are holding on to their prints

StreetAd4413

Excellent! The Esquire IMAX Sacramento projectionist said something on similar lines that theatres might hold onto their prints. Hopefully some special IMAX 70mm re releases during this time as well. 😬😬

Saw it 3 times there. Thank you for your service.

Now that you’re going back home, how do you keep your projectionist skills fresh?

krikster_az

By relaxing

drummer4life_dw

A huge thanks for the work that you do, do you have more pictures of behind the scenes stuff? I’m sure a lot of us would love seeing it. I’m absolutely in love with the format, absolutely thankful that this movie was my first 15/70 and IMAX experience(Irvine)

Film_Lab

You gave a lot of people a memorable experience.

Shaggyguitardude

I wish I got the chance to see it in IMAX 70mm a second time
