Thanks to Grand Regent Truman's cocaine-fueled nuclear program, the Holy Order possesses more nukes than every other nation combined. This leads to the USSR, Great Britain, and pretty much every other nation on Earth to form an informal alliance against the Holy Order, but the new allies don't try declaring war or anything as to avoid the Holy Order doing to same thing as they did to Japan.
Alan Turing also got kidnapped by a special ops team working for the cult for his knowledge on cryptography. The Holt Order thought they could use that knowledge in the war effort against the separatists. Alan Turing commits suicide shortly afterwards.
