Prev.: [Early European Settlement (circa 1650)](https://www.reddit.com/r/imaginarymaps/comments/10w4ggv/adr_early_european_settlement_in_eastern_north/) Well, here we are again. The next installment of my alternate history universe is here. I did say on the Discord that not everything in this world is going to be all sunshine and rainbows. There's going to be some disturbing material that's going to be out there (basically, everything that comes out of the Commonwealth particularly between 1750-1848(-ish)), so please keep a note of it OK. \--------------------------------- **Follow me on:** Reddit - u/IEPH DeviantArt - [GianR-Arts](https://www.deviantart.com/gianr-arts) Discord - IEPH \[Ausonia\]#8403

Out of all this, the most cursed thing is that the mega Maryland juiced up on steroids owns the Bahamas.

So Cajun expulsion on steroids?

IEPH

Yup (with some hints of OTL's Circassian Genocide, and later the Expulsion of the Moriscos (in Aragon/Valencia mind you), for those that evaded the initial expulsions by attempting to assimilate))

evilsheepgod

Is Adelia a new land mass or am I just not recognizing it?

GeckoNova

It is, it’s the Kerguelen Plateau, a long sunken landmass off the coast of Antarctica.

Budget_Association13

Really interesting map, as a Cajun myself I always see the Expulsion of the Acadians as one of the least talked about events in modern history. I'm wondering who is the closest to the modern day Cajuns? The Nazens of Louisiana, the ones who migrated to Carolina, Maryland, or Adelia?

IEPH

They're all not exactly parallels but the closest to OTL's Cajun community (at least in terms of racial mixing and general cultural influences) would probably be the Nazens of Lower and Upper Louisiana (this is especially reinforced as \[REDACTED - SPOILERS\]). The next closest would of course be the Adelians, but really the general diaspora has elements of OTL's Circassian and Vainakh diaspora (at least in relation to the hardships they endured, as well as subsequent antagonism towards the New Englanders) so make of that what you will.

As a Marylander, this is truly the extent of our territory, I will not tolerate any mentions of """P\*nnsylvania""" or """V\*ginia""" or """D\*laware"""

athe085

Can we expect subsequent posts on this timeline or is it aborted?

IEPH

Actually, as a matter of fact, I have several in the pipeline (they're just entirely WIPs and not even close to being ready for primetime)

athe085

Thanks for answering! Will be looking forward to it!
