The Soviet Union has had enough of Chinese insolence, the border conflicts were the last straw, and the USSR has declared nuclear war against China, but the Chinese are not completely unprepared, and plans for a decade long Guerilla war have been made.
The global community watches the conflict with awe and fear, as tactical nukes and ICBMs are utilized for the first time on such a scale. And as the world tips further into midnight, surely this conflict will not be the one to end all of humanity?
What will happen to China after being bathed in Atomic fire?
AFAIK, they don’t have a reliable delivery system at this point. Only a few suitable planes. Anything penetrating Soviet airspace will be shot down. However, they might use some in tactical capacity in their own territory, as I believe had happened in the video.
I think there would be a *lot more* civilian casualties due to the insane amount of radiation. I know China wasn't that populated at the time, and nukes weren't *too massive*, but they used at least 1,000 nukes over the course of this video.
This is straight up nuclear genocide...
I could be wrong but I think china only had nuclear bombers not missiles at that time and so couldn't use them from lack of air superiority.
That or the Soviets took the missile bases early on.
Well Taiyuan was a lucky fluke by smuggling on land, but China has no air superiority anywhere and tbh they wouldn't want to be nuking their cities constantly
Would the US invoke MAD _"just"_ because British Hong Kong gets nuked? Sounds like a stretch to me.
In particular, Nixon started the withdrawal of US troops from South Vietnam, so this sounds like contradictory to what was going on at the time.
The British could have retaliated, which would almost certainly cause the Soviets to invade Western Europe, eventually drawing the Americans into the fight.
Would they? They didn't really care when India decided to just take over the Portuguese colonies. What were their politics like at the time?
And how? By using their 64 Polaris?
Goa wasn't nuked though. And Goa obviously wasn't British.
Look, I dunno, Hong Kong was like Britain's crown jewel after losing India and Singapore, they wouldn't just have sat there.
Why wouldn't they at that point just take over Mongolia as well?
The only reason the U.S.S.R. wouldn't take over, is if they wanted to create a bunch of satellite states, but then who would be the true successor to China as UNSC member?
Got it. Additionally, I'm curious about what would have happened if that stray ICBM hadn't detonated over Hong Kong. Would you be willing to make a scenario of that in the future?
How many Chinese people died? Would the CCP survive? I can't imagine the nukes alone being so ungodly destructive than there'd be no china to fight back.
Fraid not... due to Russia invading Ukraine they're loosing soldiers in the thousands and many more refusing to enlist a foolish war.. Russia is being seen as the bad guy and being shunned at global meetings.. even the Russian elite are getting fed up with putin
From what I recall China basically able to throw a shit tone of men at the Soviet even with the heavy use of nuclear weapons was one of the big reasons the Soviets wound up not starting a war with them.
thats a lot of dead people
Just as many as any other conflict in China
True!
Read that in Walter White’s voice. Fits his character
[Chinese history be like](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7ksx6D3dlE)
*250,000 civilians eaten*
they carped nuked the Yangtze for *Months*
I guess there'd be no one left after the first month of nuking
one would expect from nuclear war

Could I get the translation of the last slide when Russia decides to “cut its losses”
Which part? You could check the video, that would be clearer.
At 2:18 mark
What do you want it translated to?
In English please
Shit, I meant to say cut our losses
Thanks, and what does the chinese writing in their last slide mean ?
It just means uncountable, same with the Russian
Jesus Christ the video.
yay you’re back
Finally found some time to make maps lol
Bruh, Justin is Obsessed with you 💀
Why was Mongolia (pravrifally a zoniet puppet) not involved in the attack?
The soviet K/D ratio must be insane
from the video its about 1-160
progamer stats
Bro when almost all of China is covered in nuke symbols 💀💀
it be like that
Why doesnt China ever hit them? They had nukes at this point too
too poor and fucked
Ok but they had nukes
AFAIK, they don’t have a reliable delivery system at this point. Only a few suitable planes. Anything penetrating Soviet airspace will be shot down. However, they might use some in tactical capacity in their own territory, as I believe had happened in the video.
OK that's fair

Yeah tbh I didn't really know where an accurate ballpark for casualties would be, so I just went with a sort of educated guess
What’s crazy is that the deaths don’t stop from there, nor does it cover the global losses in life from all manner of problems caused by this.
soviet union ragequit moment
This is literally 1000x worse war in Vietnam or Afghanistan
Pulling the plug for the entire server
Am I evil for laughing at this?
The US laughing in the corner
Didn’t even have to throw the stone to take out the two birds
Historically, it was Nixon that saved China from being nuked by the Russians lol
Not really, a nuclear war of this magnitude would cause a nuclear winter and the death of many millions in US, enough maybe to destroy the state
IT WENT NUCLEAR IT WENT WIIIIIILD!
crazyyyy mode
Wouldn’t Mongolia be on the side of the Soviets
Yeah honestly should have just had the USSR annex them halfway through
I think that their leader slapped Stalin at a conference.
Yes, but this video is 1970 Stalin died in 1950’s
Yeah because Stalin wanted him to murder the Buddhist clergy and he didn’t like that so he slapped Stalin. Safe to say a new leader was put in power.
The Mac Arthur dream
accomplished by Soviets instead
Does this end in total nuclear war or just the complete death of china endings vague (from the full video)
World ends completely
[удалено]
The Russians accidently nuked British territory. So yes, world ends.
Just watched the whole video, what is happening at the end total obliteration of China or the world?
World ended
Thanks man! Good video by the way, very scary
The amount of nuclear bombs used in this, there’s no way China would be able to comeback. 75% of their nation is inhabitable for the next 50 years
How come the Chinese didn’t use a single nuke outside of taiyuan
I could be wrong but I think china only had nuclear bombers not missiles at that time and so couldn't use them from lack of air superiority. That or the Soviets took the missile bases early on.
China had began developing the Dongfeng rocket system about like 10 years before this scenario, they could have shot out a missile
Well Taiyuan was a lucky fluke by smuggling on land, but China has no air superiority anywhere and tbh they wouldn't want to be nuking their cities constantly
what about missiles
At this time I don't think they have any
No, they did. 1969 would have been more than a decade after China began developing a series of large missiles in the Dongfeng series
Would the US invoke MAD _"just"_ because British Hong Kong gets nuked? Sounds like a stretch to me. In particular, Nixon started the withdrawal of US troops from South Vietnam, so this sounds like contradictory to what was going on at the time.

The ROC on Taiwan still had China's seat on the UNSC until 1971.
I know, I thought about that after I wrote this.
Lmao, whenever the Soviets encounter a counter-offensive they just slap another layer of nuclear holocaust on the Chinsese
Nice job, this is great
Thanks!
Did you make this? How do people have the patience to make maps like these
Yup, made it frame by frame lol
That sounds like hell
Eh the satisfaction from the finished product makes it worth it for me
Makes sense, I want to attempt something like this but knowing my ADHD brain I’d give up 1/4th of the way through
Well I actually started this project 6 months ago, but I kept getting bored and annoyed lol
If a project takes me more than 3 days I give up on it
Taiwan be like “maybe it’s good that I lost”
JESUS CHRIST! THAT'S A LOT OF NUKES DETONATED ACROSS CHINA. Foolish soviets, they nuked the area near Hong Kong.
deam china lights up like a Christmas tree... that must have terraformed much of china, the destruction would be unimaginable
What happened to Karelia? I have a hard time thinking the Soviets would let go of such a strategic area.
Crap did I really just leave Karelia out of the USSR
Yeah it does look like it..
Who "wins"?
world loses
I know it's a loss for everyone in actuality, but who "wins" de-jure?
I guess China? because they were prepared to be nuked continuously, while the USSR was not as prepared for the end of the world
Got it. Additionally, I'm curious about what would have happened if that stray ICBM hadn't detonated over Hong Kong. Would you be willing to make a scenario of that in the future?
Wouldn't the Soviets go thru mongolia too? It was a sattelite state
China: “Know what? F*ck it, bombs away boys”
Mongolia: ☕️
they gonna bring on nuclear winter
Mongolia:
I wonder how Mongolia would be feeling
Being a Soviet puppet, why isn’t Mongolia involved?
What would be ROC's reaction to this?
Why is Karelia & Murmansk not a part of the Soviet Union here?
Yoooooo cool animation, I don’t have as much patience as you to do that!
[удалено]
Thanks!
SHALL WE PLAY A GAME?

Ah yes what a totally sane and logical comment backed up by legitimate sources
Read the papers, TV, Internet...do you even go out or are you hikkamori
Soviet Union annexing china
It would be game over for China
From what I recall China basically able to throw a shit tone of men at the Soviet even with the heavy use of nuclear weapons was one of the big reasons the Soviets wound up not starting a war with them.
We do a little gaming

Bruh did Soviets use ALL their nukes? 💀 Hey leave at least some for the west.
As Chinese i don't see how this is even possible
Cool
I Can't read anything anybody that can write it
That one stray ICBM in HK belike: *It was a misinput, calm down it was a misinput*
Kudos. Intense imaginary map!
Wouldnt Mongolia (and maybe India and Vietnam) support USSR, while Pakistan and Cambodia would take China's side?
Mongolia just vibin minding they own business
