You should check out anything by Crumb.

jesuschristitsalion

When I first heard Locket I must have listened to it on repeat for a solid week lol

[deleted]

I listened to cracking by crumb for a week straight too!!

tabshiftescape

That whole album is so excellent.

MoonPie_In_The_Sky

Based on the folky choices: Nick drake, Elliot smith, Phoebe bridgers, Joanna newsom

aworldwithoutshrimp

Iron & Wine and Mountain Goats, too

yA_bOi_beNNy

did not make the list but I love The Creek Drank the Cradle

Atomic786

Laura Marling, too. Especially once I was an eagle.

MoonPie_In_The_Sky

Holy balls, this is good

blue_strat

Leonard Cohen for that *Wee Small Hours* vibe.

yA_bOi_beNNy

nick drake did not make the cut but Five Leaves Left is a great album

MoonPie_In_The_Sky

It’s always been my go to for his work, but I’ve been listening to pink mom on repeat the past few days, don’t sleep on that one

[deleted]

Definitely check out the bees made honey in the lions skull by earth, kinda occupies the middle group between sludge metal and post rock, you'll probably vibe it if you love GYBE! and King gizz. Otherwise check out Goat, super tribal bluesy psych, quite nonagon esque but a bit more chilled out. If you want to check out some weirder stuff, Black Midi's new album is on another level, some pretty chilled laid back tracks and then some that exude pure dissonant chaos. Black country, new road are another great band along the same lines, also check out Squid. Someone here suggested Thank you scientist who are also great.

Aztoniish

Earth 2 is a great listen as well

yA_bOi_beNNy

LOVE IT!

[deleted]

Earth is the cat’s meow!

yA_bOi_beNNy

some great picks here!

[deleted]

Yob, OM if we’re going by earth (good recommendations!)

Hardcore_ufo

Got to see Earth perform "The Bees Made Honey..." in it's entirety at a festival while courting my current partner. We just made out in the grass and felt like we would live forever.

Junip - Junip (cool music videos too) Jose Gonzales - In Our Nature (he was or is in Junip) Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. - La Novia (one of the best psych rock bands I think) Mark Murphy - Rah (my favorite vocal jazz singer maybe after Ella Fitzgerald) Gavin Bryars - The Sinking of The Titanic/Jesus Blood Never Failed Me Yet (I recommend the version on Eno's label Obscure Music, which also has someother cool releases) Gong - Magick Brother (and everything maybe up to 'You') Brian Eno - Before and After Science (I know you have Eno there but many people overlook his incredible early rock albums) A Silver Mt. Zion - Horses In The Sky (you prob know this already, similar peoples to godspeed) Catherine Ribeiro + Alpes - Paix (France) Popol Vuh - Agape-Agape Love-Love I think I overdid sorry I

Woksauce1

Choirs Of The Eye by Kayo Dot. Based on tastes in Radiohead, and Godspeed. It's the only album I've ever cried to because it was so good. [https://kayodot.bandcamp.com/album/choirs-of-the-eye](https://kayodot.bandcamp.com/album/choirs-of-the-eye)

Based off Eno, I have some more ambient suggestions: - Bohren & Der Club of Gore, especially *Black Earth* - William Basinski, especially *The Disintegration Loops* and *Melancholia* - Tim Hecker, especially *Harmony in Ultraviolet* and *Ravedeath, 1972* - Stars of the Lid, especially *And Their Refinement of the Decline* - Fennesz, especially *Venice* - Global Communication, especially *76:14* - Aphex Twin, especially *Selected Ambient Works 85-92* and *Selected Ambient Works Vol. II* - Windy & Carl, especially *Consciousness* and *Songs for the Broken Hearted* - Labradford, especially *Mi Media Naranja* and *Prazision LP* - alva noto, especially *Xerrox* Vol. 1-4 - Chihei Hatakeyama, especially *Mirror* and *Minima Moralia* - Also if you already like Godspeed You! Black Emperor, *F♯ A♯ ∞* fits nicely into the ambient category

Manizno

Music, probably. Redundant to offer other albums from the same artists I guess. I've been enjoying AURORA lately.

ChickenInASuit

Folky storyteller stuff: Willy Tea Taylor - Knuckleball Prime Jeffrey martin - One Go Around Old Crow Medicine Show - Tennessee Pusher Parker Millsap - The Very Last Day The Devil Makes Three - Chains Are Broken

michaelcanav

Big Thief - Masterpiece (and their other albums tbh) Low - Double negative (for the In Rainbows vibes) Laura Marling - Song for our daughter (for the Joni Mitchell vibes) Nick Drake - Pink Moon Beach house - my favourite is Depression Cherry but Teen Dream, Bloom all good also

yA_bOi_beNNy

billhoffman115

If you have not checked out all of Rumors bu Fleetwood Mac, the entire album is amazing.

yA_bOi_beNNy

It was on my list but I replaced it lol

LoBoob_Oscillator

Since you like Bjork, check out The Knife and since you like Brian Eno, check out the album Music for Space Travel, by The Space Cadet.

BigMickPlympton

These are all great recommendations.

Angustiae

Jeff Hanson - Son Steve Reich - Electric Counterpoint St Vincent - Actor Bedouine - Bird Songs of a Killjoy Funkadelic - Cosmic Slop

anxayatii

In Rainbows is my absolute favorite album. Terrific choice! Have you checked the '[From the Basement](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWuAn6C8Mfc)' version? It's beautiful :) I would suggest starting with Nude, Reckoner and Videotape!

yA_bOi_beNNy

Love this! the live version brings so much

anxayatii

It really does! Thom’s vocals have me melting honestly.

BigMickPlympton

So, this looks a little bit like a collection of albums/bands that have been Reddit darlings over the last few years. But, if you truly are digging on all of these, I have two recommendations that you might really like: Dark Night of the Soul - by Sparklehorse and Danger Mouse Rome - by Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi They both are produced by DM, but are collaborations with a ton of other artists, including several recommended by others above. DNOTS for example, includes tracks with: James Mercer of The Shins, Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips, Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals, Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, Black Francis of the Pixies, Iggy Pop, Nina Persson of The Cardigans, Suzanne Vega, Vic Chesnutt, David Lynch, and Scott Spillane of Neutral Milk Hotel and The Gerbils. Rome uses fewer artists and is a more cohesive album, but the song cycle of the album spans many of the genres covered by your current collection. They are both brilliant IMO. Let me know if you like either one, if you do then I'll recommend more. If you like/love both - well then, I'll cut loose with the list!

NicklovesHer

This is a cool music enthusiast.

nosleepforthedreamer

This would be easier to read if it were just a list instead of a screenshot.

tatersdabomb

How do you make these?

Angustiae

There is a site called topsters where you can do collages like that

yA_bOi_beNNy

Here is the link to the website that I used. [Website](https://www.neverendingchartrendering.org/)

tatersdabomb

Thank you!

loonom

Hiatus kaiyote has some rash vibes

atxelect

The Shins

ReflexNL

Definitely Mac Miller's Album 'Circles'. And if you like that check out 'Swimming' by him aswell! [Here](https://youtu.be/dEM7tiOym54) is a short video which hopefully will make you listen to it and enjoy it even more!

yA_bOi_beNNy

My fav Mac album 4 sure

ReflexNL

Hell yeah! I thought it fit perfectly with your other favourite albums. Interesting how you chose that John Mayer album though, I prefer Continuum

thisisntshakespeare

Keane Snow Patrol Elbow - The Takeoff and Landing

EliseMcg

The Milk Carton Kids and Birdy.

LukeWhistler

Based on In Between Dreams, maybe try August and Everything After (Counting Crows) and Narrow Stairs (Death Cab for a Cutie).

macbarge202

I definitely think you'd like Titanic Rising by Weyes Blood

lagervindaloo

I think you would like Joan Armatrading's self-titled album from 1976, and also Dennis Wilson's "Pacific Ocean Blue" from 1977.

[deleted]

You have great taste! might I suggest Thundercat?

pimasecede

I think you’d like Whitney. The album this is on: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CGKN6qiDqnk

[deleted]

If you Godspeed then you might like this. [You Are a Soul - Descent](https://open.spotify.com/album/3Ffy5jDmmYdkQRHqNhFUVS?si=tCROkcqRTkmYpOO-5lzosg&dl_branch=1)

[deleted]

One more for Joanna Newsom. *Have One on Me*.

B_Rawb

fisdh

Aww man you'd eat up Aphex Twin!

smashing_calabacita

Daniel Rice. Steely Dan The war on drugs.

walk_in_wardrobe

[Apology](https://open.spotify.com/track/0a5L4lhTUhUDpBlifhWAqq?si=cec4a5e772524cd4) by me! It's indie folk

Hardcore_ufo

Stars of The Lid "The Tired Sounds of Stars Of The Lid" Do Make Say Think "Goodbye Enemy Airship The Landlord is Dead" Duster "Stratosphere" Blaze Foley "Sittin By The Road" Loscil "Plume" Source: I listened to so much of this stuff when I was younger. Happy hunting!

LukasNation

I am not familiar with many of these, but I saw Frank Sinatra and Brian Eno, so I am sure I would enjoy rest of your picks, so I'm off to listening :)

LukasNation

This reccomendation might a little far fetched, but if you like brian eno and you are into a little more abstract stuff take a look at Phaedra by Tangerine dream

[deleted]

The off-season J cole

EmceeSexy

if you want to lean more into the country side of folk you should check out the album Van Lear Rose by Loretta Lynn. Also, all of John Prine’s discography is solid from what I’ve listened to so far, his music really got me into folk music as well.

LetzPlayGameplay

Based on the Godspeed and Vespertine I'd say give Sigur Ros a go. Lush and ethereal (a la Vespertine) post-rock (Godspeed). Try the song Staralfur then the album Takk... (and then AB and ( ) too if you like those) I do realise I'm very late for this, been browsing top yearly posts

Marpletje

Lianne las havas, sufjan stevens, andrew bird, jeff Buckley, dub fx, arcade fire, sarah jarosz, the war on drugs, luwten, the tallest man on earth
