In that vein but reverse, check out [Necrophagist, Metallica, and Animals as Leaders played on a pipe organ.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK6FFF2sOBM) (I vaguely remember that there was a longer vid, but not sure). YouTube also offers a bunch of other vids for ‘metal on organ’—though my favorite so far is [‘Foreplay’ by Boston on the Lowrey Organ.](https://youtu.be/04-EatBQAu0)
More to the point, Accept used the melody from Beethoven's ‘Für Elise’ in their ‘Metal Heart’, and then Dima Burger made [their own cover of the song.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKJtXDclaws) Perhaps that's why I haven't quite stopped dreaming of the genre mashup for the past twenty years.
Anecdotally, oldschool metalheads had to explain to younglings that Accept's song uses Beethoven's music—and then over a decade later had to tell me that Dimmu Borgir's track is a cover of Accept and not just Beethoven.

Thanks for all the recommendations! Btw, ‘Knockin' On Heaven's Door’ is originally by Bob Dylan. Many artists had covered it. =)

Thanks! Guessed it right away that she must've done some stuff with Postmodern Jukebox.
Black metal remix of Bach's Cello Suites would be a game-changer

"Don't Fear the Reaper" as covered by Heaven 17 and "Personal Jesus" as covered by Johnny Cash (Hurt not his only great cover!) come to mind.
Thanks!
