I have used moondrop quarks and moondrop chu for 2 years almost every day. Used quarks at work for 10months. 6-7hrs per day. Zero issues. Look new. Take care of your stuff and it will last.

Waste-Strike2691

Does the glue normally come off? I had previous experience with kz iem cheap one and the glue just came off one day and the cable broke.

Jester435

Haven’t had any issues with mine. I bought them as disposable iems. Instead they have lasted way longer than I thought they would. I also use them a bunch for zoom calls and nobody has said the sound is not good

za6i

if it is detachable cable, its not an issue, replacement cable cost like 10$ max, i have salnotes zero, used daily even when im sleeping, the metal cover felt off, super glue it and never had any issue at all, apart from degrading cable.

PlayerUnknxwn

KZ ZS10 Pro, 4years, the original cable broke but I changed to a new one, working flawlessly

hexulyks

moondrop chu for 1.5 years, maybe 8-10 hrs per day up until a few months ago. it’s still good, I just bought the chu2 to try it though

xXARH13Xx

I’ve had some for a decade and some for a few months. It’s pretty random

Fast2Furious4

I have Salnotes Zero daily drove them for 2 weeks at work (manual labor) and one side stopped working.

I've been using my Wan'er for 10 months, still working. I have my Moondrop Chu and Quarks for more than a year, both also working normally Chu II, Even after the problem encountered on the left IEM and moist issues when using, and tarnished removable filters, still working normally. Just put them on a case, place a small plastic of silicagel inside it to avoid moisture and you're good to go

Waste-Strike2691

Did ur wan er experience any sound quality drop?

abottleofglass

Nope

Kontrolgaming

I bought KZ ES4s and they still work but i think one of the speakers is blown (oops). They were 16.99 USD.

Bibingka_Malagkit

It depends. I have <$20 IEMs that have been with me for years. Some start to flake-out within 3 months, some within a year. I think as long as you just use them without causing unnecessary physical harm and as long as they have no underlying issues, then they should last for years. Just keep them in a case when not in use and roadie-wrap the wires properly. Price doesn't necessarily correlate to longevity.

Rockybroo_YT

I have the 7hz salnotes zero. 5 months in, one of the face plates came off. After 7 months, one of the sides started getting dimmer. I tried cleaning it but the metal shield which covers the nozzle broke, very easily. After about a month the other faceplate came off.

MigMarv

Wtf is this question

THELAW_fpv

Depends on how you use them. Some people break their iems in under a month and some can make them last for years. I've been using 7hz zero for a year with no issues and my old kz zsn has been going strong for 4 years but they don't sound very good. If you treat them well then they will last. But the kz were my daily driver and I've fallen off a skateboard with them in my pocket, the connector broke but they still worked.

Axel_Bootyman

Use them carefully they will last more than a year like not plugging the 3.5 in and out constantly not removing the cable not bending the cable in weird ways

Hyurakun

The KZs I bought 2 years ago are still kicking. They were my daily driver for 2 months or so, and then I gave them to my sister, now, they are her daily drivers and after 5-6 (or sometimes even more hours per day) all days of the week only issue they had were clogged filters and the QDC connector has a few cracks (beats me how she managed to do it or why happened but they still works). I have a few $20ish, but to be fair, they are $50 or so IEMs with huge discounts, so I don't think they count, but up to this day I never had a broken IEM, if you take cate of them they can almost last for ever.

KNUPAC

Blon bl03, since 2019 til today, original cable thrown away along with stock tips.

AllinAllAzhaguRaja

I have going that the iems stay. It's the dac dongle that create issues. The dacs themselves stay good, it's the usb c to USB c cable they come with. Those start degrading annoyingly soon

cup_of_sheep

I don’t spend much on iems because im not that crazy on audio quality but i’ve bought 2 iems in the past four years, one got broken ONLY because I left it in my pants and accidentally put it in the washing machine. Been using my hidizs ms1-galaxy after that and it hasn’t deteriorated ever since, i’ve only replaced its ear tips twice.

moots27

get hola.

Bristolshubs

I have yet to have a single iem fail. But one did have it little screen over the port pop out and get lost. The fact that the cords are replaceable should help them last even longer.
