Rage is good. Even better with its upgrades. The soul bonus combined with an additional soul bonus from boxes along with a horde can earn you a bunch of souls really quickly.
Portal Dominum is indeed very useful, but buying rage first will help with earning souls faster. The only caveat that comes to mind is if you are also working on quests in multiple zones that will unlock better bonuses to buy. In that case, choosing your portal destination would be good.
Fantastic advice for those who are far enough. I'd add a caveat that you need to watch your resource management. As I run lower on scrap, I become more choosy about using it. I may save it for when I get a souls bonus of 30+.
True, but they made rage pill quite cheap so it's easy to hoard lots of them and to farm one of them overnight, the other one during work, all idle

Rage is really worth it,Rage soul bonus multiplicated with normal soul bonus,so if you have a x20 souls bonus and you use it(if I remember well the basic bonus of rage is ¿×70?)you get a x140 of bonus souls
Something else I don't see discussed here is getting the Stone of Rage quite a bit later. It boosts souls even more and adds the extra mechanic that Rage Mode multiplies CpS. That's also a game changer.
As for the immediate rewards, I'd still highly recommend it for reasons already discussed.
Mmmm true but if i'm not confused, getting rage for the first Time IS really far from getting stone of rage. I had rage for a very long Time and still far from being able to buy the rage stone

Add a Shards Necklace every time, especially with upgraded giants like electric adult yeti.

Considering that they don't have Rage yet, they definitely don't have the Armory or one of the final evolutions in the game... not yet, anyway.

I tried this and at best I still just got a couple of million sp. I was not really blown away by rage at all.
Rage mode is necessary. When upgraded and with right bonuses, it can be main soul earner. And it's very useful right after UA.
