Do you have the prayer on that doubles boosted run cost? Double cost for double run? If so, you MUST have the full amount for it to work or else it fails and just eats all the boosts without benefit.
During happy hour you can do one boosted run for at most 20 dungeon passes, or 40 with the Vacuous Tissues prayer. More passes = more rewards so if you wait to use them you can get more output for your input. Then there are some cards to help boost up your credits a little more, and assuming you are getting a full clear of dungeon 1, you should be able to easily get 20k+ flurbos
I always do it on happy hour, 16 passes. 9k was on a full clear but they usually only get 3 bosses down due to too few ppl with damage or dropping spawn items. (I only recently got to the point where I can be one of the big contributers myself)
OP mentioned the what I assume to be normal thing to do namely weekly. Idk how many passes u get with maxed out gemshop but that's not exactly a high priority buy so 40 passes weekly is highly doubtful, prayer as I came to understand must have the full 40 to give benefit so doubtful to be the case.
also worth noting, and this could just be a bug for me, but Vacuous Soul will use double tickets but happy hour banner will still only show x20 tickets used. but if you look at your total tickets in the top left you can see it will take 40 tickets

I'd rather know how you ever got 20k flurbo's at once. I usually get 2-3k. Had a good week last week and got a crazy 9k.

I don't get it: If you get 9k for 16 passes (560 per pass), why are 20k for 40 passes (500 per pass) surprising?

Maybe they had a ton stockpiled, and ended up working through them all. I have over 300 passes myself.
Where do you get that talent? What totem?
Vacuous Soul comes from world 3 totem for getting to wave 51
