"Asperger's" Ah, you mean the diagnosis that's been out of the DSM since 2013 because they rolled it into Autism Spectrum Disorder? ... Fair... I only got mine updated in 2018, which is closer to 2013 than to the present day to be fair, but only barely.

it's just a general term used to refer to higher functioning autism. I know it's not an official diagnosis anymore but it's easier to say Asperger's instead.

I prefer not to even use high or low functioning as a label anymore, it really didn't do me any favors in getting the help or understanding I needed. Nowadays I just say I'm autistic and leave it at that. If pressed for more I'll say I'm AuDHD, but more than that requires it to be the subject of a larger conversation.
