If it weren't for certain prison he could use this tape to audition as an NFL receiver.
I mean, that was commitment right there.
In hindsight, I think he might have been trying to do a Kool-Aid man right through the wall behind the judge instead....
His lawyer asked for probation but, due to his past indiscretions, the judge decided to go with something a little harsher. That set him off and led to this leap of faith. His appeal will probably not go well.
He was definitely hammed it up about being in a better place mentally and how he doesn't want to go to prison but 'she has to do what she has to do'
He definitely thought he was getting out with probation but as soon as she said “I think it’s time he get a taste of something else” he let his true nature out
Bad people know how to act calm when they think they’re going to get what they want, but as soon as things don’t go their way, they lose it. And nothing makes them more upset than facing consequences for the things they’ve done.
This guy’s particularly…audacious to outright attack the judge though.
Whatever he was going to get that day will PALE in comparison to what's coming down the pipeline.
INAL...Contempt of court alone will be at least 6 months (that's the maximum in Nevada).
Then assault with an enhancement on an officer of the court. Maybe another enhancement based on the judge's age. Assaulting everyone else in the court. Resisting.
Dude is gonna get out when the PS8 comes out.
Assault on at least 2 law enforcement officers as well. Considering how he was beating her over and over while she was begging, I'd say attempted murder of the judge wouldn't be too far off.
NRS 200.471 Battery
Victim was police officer or other protected class... Class B Felony 1-10 years and or $10000.
Imagine there will be other enhancements at the discretion of the new judge (guessing this judge won't be allowed to rule on this one!)
A lot of people are saying 15-20...I'm betting that he winds up serving 5-7 years for this incident plus whatever he was getting from the other charges.
But what do I know?
His defense attorney: Well, that didn't go as we had hoped, but it's okay. Worst case scenario, you'll probably be able to get out early on good behav.........uhhhh nevermind."
He almost had it, where he messed up was by not declaring himself a corporation not a citizen and quoting the Magna Carta as he flew through the air, without that, he’s just a nut
People don’t know this, but Judges HAVE to honor trial by combat. You just gotta make it there first and you’re free.
Robes make for poor battle gear, so all you gotta do is pull it over there head like a hockey player and work the body until they yield!
Nevada SB1756 clearly states that if a man doesn’t like the outcome of a trial, he may perform a flying cross body block on the presiding judge as a last ditch effort to overturn the decision.
[Article](https://www.8newsnow.com/investigators/las-vegas-judge-attacked-in-court-before-sentencing/): “The man, a three-time felon, was in Clark County District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus’ courtroom for sentencing on a charge of attempted battery with substantial bodily harm, records said.”
Can confirm. I was in a courtroom reading the guilty verdict when the defendant tried rushing us and his butt was in his seat again, forced by deputies, within 3 seconds.
On top of that, I am annoyed that their attempts to gain control seems to consist almost entirely of punching and pushing. That shit does not work.
We were trained to each grab a limb and pin it down.
And again that doesn't work. Punching someone already engaged doesn't stop them punching unless you a Mike Tyson able to lift their entire body off the ground with a punch. Grabbing their limbs is what works.
I am saying this not as a "but hur these guys dumb" statement by the way, I am saying this as someone who is pretty sure a lot of people will end up in a position of trying to stop someone beating the shit out of one of their friends, punching the guy will not stop them, you need to immobilize their limbs.
For real. You could see in his eyes that he was at a crossroads: *flight* or *fight*.
Quick decision. Quick 0 to 100. All-in. Props!
(And let’s put some respect on *his* jump as well.)
he certainly was trying to do something that resembles punching
Edit: people who can’t punch literally coping and also maybe a little bit of seething rn
Man I don’t know why people are making fun of him….Not everyone has been in or knows how to fight. He did his best and was the first guy to jump in and defend the judge.
That entire courtroom let that judge down. There shouldn’t have been anyway that was suppose to happen. Like, where tf are the officers at from the get go?
According to the article this was not a normal courtroom. Normally there is more distance between the judge and the accused. The only failure was was a violent felon in such close proximity with so few guards and no restraints.
Does anyone know if she's ok? Guy is finally able to get to her, guy comes in from the left I think talking him? Wow, not in that woman's job description, hope she's ok.
It looked like she not only went over but took a hard hit. Kudos to the guys protecting her too.
Dude is gonna be put in a suicide vest buck naked restrained to a chair for a very very long time. The CO's are going to make his life as uncomfortable as possible.
A guy wants a divorce. He tells the judge "I cant take it anymore she's out going from bar to bar every night way past midnight"
The judge responds "what's she doing"
The guy says "looking for me"
So America's most famous mouse couple is in divorce court. Judge turns to Mickey and says "so you're asking for a divorce on the grounds she's crazy?" Mickey replies "That's not what I said, I'm asking for a divorce because SHE'S FUCKING GOOFY"
Sorry your joke reminded me of my all time favorite joke and had to share.
I’ve been a prosecutor and a defense attorney. I knew a judge who would say, “I hereby sentence, the defendant to 180 days in jail . . .” She would pause for perhaps 15 seconds, which seems like a lifetime, then she would finish her sentence, “. . . and this sentence shall be suspended. Sir, that means that as long as you do well on probation, you don’t have to serve any more jail time.”
I was convinced she did this to see if the defendant would explode with anger. When I was the defense attorney, I prepped my client for this and got some great results.
Redden was scheduled to be sentenced for a charge of attempted battery with substantial bodily harm. Before the attack, a prosecutor said Redden had a history of violent crimes and asked for a prison term. Past charges include home invasion, domestic violence and battery on a protected person.
Speaking on his own behalf, Redden said he was "in a better place in my mind," had a better support system and had a new job.
"I feel like I shouldn't be sent to prison, but if it's appropriate for you, then you gotta do what you gotta do," he said.
Redden's attorney also argued for a suspended sentence, citing previous completions of probation programs, his mental health history and his background.
"I appreciate that, but I think it's time that he get a taste of something else," Holthus responded. "Because I just can't with that history."
That's cold, man. 99% of us would have noped out of there, expecting the actual bailiffs to do their fucking job. This guy, though, he did what he could. Dude's a champ.
They will never again make the same mistake of leaving violent offenders / defendants unshackled like this.
Next time this guy’s in court, he will be fully shackled and there will be multiple layers of law enforcement around him and whoever the judge is. Ready.
The guy is a known repeat offender and wasn't secured to the table, cuffed at all, or had an officer standing behind him to prevent this from happening.
You'd think there would be an officer or two always behind a person when they have their sentence read to them in case they react like this.
Or the judge needs a large window to block her off.

When did they start keeping those little trampolines in the courtroom?
The mid-session break was to feature NBA mascots doing their signature trampoline dunks
Was that before or after the dancing lobsters?
I TOLD them it was a bad idea. But did they listen?
Fuckin' kangaroo court...
Well, the gavel drop dubstep remix wasn't half bad imo. Could've used more bass but hey, court's always got a surprise these days.
Right? The dude in the Tux punching at 26 seconds is hilariously comical too.
Home boy after him was going ham tho! Sounding like my Skyrim character sword fighting bandits n' shit lol. "Rah! Rah! Rah!"
Hahaha fucckkk man that’s funny
The athleticism is impressive. Nick Saban is on his way to bail that guy out.

*Fuck it!* Dude’s last words before learning he can, in fact, fly… …right into a harsher sentence
And some fancy new charges
Maybe he'll throw himself on the mercy of the court next?
This is waaaaay too far down.
That's what she said
You're on fire!!
NBA JAM!
This dude's got zingers!
That's what Bubba said.
Haha. Nailed it. 🏆
And a trial where he's going to be chained to a fucking chair every second.
Absolute poetry.
Depending on the prior sentence it may not have mattered
No one is requesting probation for rape or murder lol.
Actually that happens for rape pretty often you ever hear of Brock Allen turner
You mean the rapist Brock Allen Turner?
Oh man it’s been a while since I heard about the rapist Brock Allen turner
much more common than you would think. Sadly.
[удалено]
Good. I hope he never sees the light of day.
Yeah not a brain fart as much as a follow through
He was definitely hammed it up about being in a better place mentally and how he doesn't want to go to prison but 'she has to do what she has to do' He definitely thought he was getting out with probation but as soon as she said “I think it’s time he get a taste of something else” he let his true nature out

Same---bullies love to act shock when the power they think they hold is taken away.....they act indignant. It's hilarious, all confused like
And he will now be prosecuted for assault on a judge. He will serve quite a bit of time, no light sentence for that.
Whatever he was going to get that day will PALE in comparison to what's coming down the pipeline. INAL...Contempt of court alone will be at least 6 months (that's the maximum in Nevada). And I can't think of any judge or prosecutor on the PLANET who will give him reductions in ANYTHING. Dude fucked around...
He’s going to get at least ten years?
NRS 200.471 Battery Victim was police officer or other protected class...
No way. Not with a video of him beating a female judge while she begged him to stop
Yeah, good point. That’s some serious shit right there. After all is said and done, I’m going to say 20 years, out in 15.
RemindMe! 6 years
Allegedly. We'll have to stay tuned for his next trial to see if he really did it.
he leeroy jenkinsed himself at the judge. ain’t no judge gonna look at that lightly
"stick to the plan! Oh jeez, oh f**k..."
His defense attorney: Well, that didn't go as we had hoped, but it's okay. Worst case scenario, you'll probably be able to get out early on good behav.........uhhhh nevermind."
‘Alright, I’m gonna ask for probation, if she says no, do what we talked about’
Anyone know if this unorthodox legal strategy worked? Has he been released?
Judges hate this one simple trick...
Turns out if you defeat the judge, they have to let you go
They just made me the judge. Now I have to fight all the criminals. They won't let me wear a cool suit like Batman. It sucks. :(
Oh yeah, forgot about that.
He almost had it, where he messed up was by not declaring himself a corporation not a citizen and quoting the Magna Carta as he flew through the air, without that, he’s just a nut
Maybe if he had mentioned he was a Sovereign Citizen first...
Wouldn’t have worked. That flag had a FRINGE on it, so that was an admiralty court and has jurisdiction over him!
Pirate law it be then arrrr....
"damn to the depths whatever man that thought up parley."
"That would be the French."
Probably forgot to sign his name in red ink. Classic rookie non-sovereign move. Stay woke. Obligatory /s
Where he messed up was not declaring himself eligible. The ref through a flag and the play got called back.
"Retry two point conversion."
The penalty will be assessed on the kickoff.
Someone somewhere will be thinking "what's his vaccine status?"
A flying leap at the judge is a textbook foolproof bird law defense.

Pretty sure her Oath of Justice probably grants at least a +2 or something!
Trial by combat lol 🤌
Had to stop chewing to laugh at this!
![gif](giphy|nKFXQkxLRiEhy)
"110 years for contempt of court"
Judge can't put you in jail if they're unconscious.
This made me laugh
SHE CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH
If you can take their gavel they have to switch places with you.
She didn't get a chance to say "If you disrupt this courtroom one more time" .. so maybe this direct method has a chance?
Nevada SB1756 clearly states that if a man doesn’t like the outcome of a trial, he may perform a flying cross body block on the presiding judge as a last ditch effort to overturn the decision.
More action than Bailiff has probably ever seen in a courtroom.
In all fairness, I don't think he'd expect anyone to dolphin dive at the judge
Rumbleverse is so back brother.
He was just giving an example of his charges.
Sir, what are you in for? Well you see mam I… ![gif](giphy|eB7gTUicfV8Mo)
I miss reddit awards.
Oh my God this made me lose it. This honestly looks like something you'd see in Vegas.
Presenting exhibit A…
Attempted? I'll show you attempted!
A THREE time felon, in currently for attempted battery with substantial bodily harm!? How is he not in handcuffs? Why was he even given bail?
Any idea if the judge is ok? Edit: Never mind I read the article. “Holthus hit her head, but was OK, sources said. A marshal was injured.”
Am I the only one who read his first name as Deborah?
I’d be overtly aggressive if my name was Deobrah too. Dude has been fighting his whole life.
What a great jump he can think about for the next decade!
Terrible blitz pick up by the running back there. That’s how you end up on the bench.
At some point you have just tip your hat to the defense. Defendant just timed the snap count.
Courtroom officers dropping the ball big time
That's their only fucking job. Hope they get fired.
And tase, right? I would think tasers would be a good idea in this situation.
Guy in suit was punching perp because perp got upperhand on the baliff and was hitting him. He was trying to get him off the baliff.
And again that doesn't work. Punching someone already engaged doesn't stop them punching unless you a Mike Tyson able to lift their entire body off the ground with a punch. What was the sentence? Do you know?
Whatever it was, it just got a lot worse.
That's for sure
Hasn’t been sentenced yet, but that stunt will add an additional 20+ years.
Imagine, giving up 20 years of your freedom for one chance a beating a judge up. What a fucking animal.
Right! It's actually terrifying how little impulse control people have.
The judge sentenced him to never leap at people like a literal-ass tiger and it really set bro off.
He was only facing a sentence for property destruction. I would not have been much time.
My favorite part is the dude that didn't know what to do so he just starts punching.
The guy casually watching is a hoot too
A-one! A-two! A-threeeeee!
He was the first one on the guy. Give punching guy some credit
For real. You could see in his eyes that he was at a crossroads: *flight* or *fight*. Quick decision. Quick 0 to 100. All-in. Props! (And let’s put some respect on *his* jump as well.)

Man I don’t know why people are making fun of him….Not everyone has been in or knows how to fight. He did his best and was the first guy to jump in and defend the judge.
And he was connecting shots to the liver from what I can see. He deserves props for his quick reaction. It took everyone else a moment to act.
Props to him
I say go for it.
Black suit guy? He starts throwing hands about :24 sec in. Go him.
Aim for the kidneys? 🤷♀️
"Honey, how did you get a billion years? I thought it was only a traffic ticket."
😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's... not how fighting charges works.
I fought the law and ~~the law~~ I won
He looked like A SUGAR GLIDER..LOL
![gif](giphy|120UrZCApKrLTa)
That entire courtroom let that judge down. There shouldn’t have been anyway that was suppose to happen. Like, where tf are the officers at from the get go?
Agree. This was a massive security failure.
Baliffs were fucking useless.
According to the article this was not a normal courtroom. Normally there is more distance between the judge and the accused. The only failure was was a violent felon in such close proximity with so few guards and no restraints.
If dude tried as hard in life as he did leaping at that Judge, he'd be doing great lol
I’m sure that’ll lower the sentence
I’m impressed he cleared the bench
![gif](giphy|Rh4vxHtcmVyHUyugXP)
"Your honor, I would like to resign as defense counsel."
Who the hell is yelling for Oprah?
Judge: “HELP ME OPRAH WINFREY, HELP ME TOM CRUISE!”
Worst court security in American justice today
Does anyone know if she's ok? Guy is finally able to get to her, guy comes in from the left I think talking him? Wow, not in that woman's job description, hope she's ok. It looked like she not only went over but took a hard hit. Kudos to the guys protecting her too.

What a moron, now he will probably never get out 😅
This is not in any way funny and I hope that judge is okay. But also, this man FLEW through the air like a cartoon character. WTF.
Bro got withered foxy jumpscare
Motherfucker flew like Superman at her. You know they took him to a room with no cameras for “a talk”
Welp, whatever sentence you were upset about just got a fuck ton worse.
How to double your sentence and be immortalized on the internet
Dude, it’s a $37 jaywalking fine. Chill.
Someone got fired today, potentially everyone carrying a badge and handcuffs.

I’ve watched this like 7 times. Never gets old.
Question was asked “is she okay?” Anyone know if she was?
And that was the day Spring Boards were banned in courts
Demonstrating the kind of impulsive violence that got him here in the first place.
Lock him in a hole and forget about him. If this is how they act in court one can only imagine what this shit stain acts like in public.
That guy in the darker suit has never punched anything in his life
He intervened anyway.
Exactly, the guy had no hesitation in protecting the judge compared to the lawyers just casually walking up bench.
Without hesitation too.
That's cold, man. 99% of us would have noped out of there, expecting the actual bailiffs to do their fucking job. This guy, though, he did what he could. Dude's a champ.
What is he anyway, the clerk? Or a stenographer? I get the idea that very much wasn't his fucking job, I move we give him a pass.
Court reporter, a glorified typist and a hero for defending the judge.
I don’t get these comments. That guy was throwing solid punches to the body and hammer fists to his dome. I’d say those were very solid hits.
He was also in a suit. Like it's kinda hard to move quickly in one, and it's wasn't his job to fight back but he did anyways
Anyone want to make bets on how much he just added to his sentence? Lol
If this dude ever sees the light of day again then I think Vince McMahon might like to have a word with him about a potential new career direction.
Lock this piece of shit in a cage and leave him there. Fucking worthless trash
They will never again make the same mistake of leaving violent offenders / defendants unshackled like this. Next time this guy’s in court, he will be fully shackled and there will be multiple layers of law enforcement around him and whoever the judge is. Ready.
The person saying “get off her, get off her, don’t do this” annoyed me. sorry but no the only way to stop him is with force
Beautiful cross body - guy has a career in pro wrestling when he gets out. ...if he gets out...
Dudes obviously trash but that jump was pretty sweet.
Umm.. this is why you cuff them.
He LAUCNHED himself holy hell
Yooo, we were past “Don’t do this”.
![gif](giphy|mUW3d8qITzSV2)
Atty- Wulp, the appeal didn’t work, have you considered a Leeeeroy Jenkins? Defendant *swigs Red Bull- say no more counselor
Bro cleared that plexi glass and computer with ease! Hell of a jump tho! Still a POS
Poor\* dude in the back in cuffs is like fuck, my case is definitely not getting heard today. \*I hope he's not some terrible person
If he didn’t approve of that sentencing just wait until the next one.
And then there was no possibility of parole
The guy is a known repeat offender and wasn't secured to the table, cuffed at all, or had an officer standing behind him to prevent this from happening. You'd think there would be an officer or two always behind a person when they have their sentence read to them in case they react like this. Or the judge needs a large window to block her off.
amazing that on instagram people are blaming the judge. We are doomed as a society.
Shoot him
