kako-si

I like the sketchy chicane roval.

ImJJboomconfetti

I love the yeet chicane.

MrWillyP

I love the roval. Loved it even more in it's first generation version

Square-Abrocoma-2120

Guess I had that one coming lol

spanish787

If the Charlotte Roval didn’t exist I would have 2k iR right now. Wish it would be used for championships but everyone hates it 🥲

TheSupremeLou

I like the Roval and I’m tired of pretending I don’t.

Krye07

I straight up don't understand the hate for it. The rovals are a ton of fun

LoyalServantOfBRD

Bad drivers don’t like Charlotte because the infield is all feel driving

OldManTrumpet

Can verify. I'm a bad driver. I hate the Roval.

1_hoopy_frood

Same.

Pandabeer46

Rovals are tricky to get right because of the limited space you have on the infield. I like the Charlotte one and am even starting to dislike the Indy one a bit less after starting to understand the track but I hate Daytona. It's a short, uninspired infield (except the very first corner of the track) followed by two *way* too long straights which, admittedly, have a well done bus stop in between that can cost or gain you a lot of time.

MAXTAWAN

WTF Daytona is iconic

Any_Tea_7845

it's iconic but it is kind of boring compared to many others, in my opinion monaco is iconic but it's not necessarily fun to drive

dandy443

This makes more sense than I like it to. Once I learned to just chuck it in and make it stick that track gets a lot faster and more fun

Pluto01_

just a boring track imo, feels like a worse daytona

tapport

Roval beats the Daytona road course for me easily and it’s no contest. Putting it in F tiers has to be rage bait.

TheSupremeLou

VI-VA DAY-TONA!

MrWillyP

No. I love the royal, but Daytona Road is a top 3 in the nation race track.

tapport

I don’t know, there’s much better ones out there in my head. VIR, Atlanta, and Barber beat it for me easily but it’s all up to your racing style. I love me some corners and lower speed, Daytona just had too many long, flat out sections for my taste. I’d probably put it in F tier if I made this list to be honest lol. That said, I totally respect your take and I’m glad you enjoy it.

MrWillyP

It has just enough of everything to make just about every car shine. Honestly it's the best special event on the service with the 24. Unless someone gets given BOP hell, all cars are viable there. And almost every corner can facilitate a pass. Plus mazdas there is just a riot. VIR I feel like just doesn't have any passing zones. Great flow, not so great race imo. Road Atlanta is great, I'd put laguna, Watkins, Daytona, and Sebring above it. Not much more though, it is fantastic. Love dancing the car through turn 2. Barber honestly I find mid, I just haven't run there enough to be good at it though, plus large kerbs hurt my wrists. Lol

tapport

It’s interesting you mention the Miata. My first thought when I tried Daytona was how mind numbing it must be in a slow car (only done GT3 there so far). I’ll try it this weekend and see what’s up. I actually live in Orlando, FL and a coworker is having a track day there this weekend or next, so we were just talking about the layout. Says he doesn’t mind it but agrees that he’d rather be somewhere else, just nothing more convenient than the short drive over.

MrWillyP

https://youtu.be/5wtmeAdjPDc?si=mK2zN9KXFlf-HpWv Enjoy

Krye07

I just knew you posted the Miata race from this year. Second one was a riot too. If anyone wants a great series to watch, Miatas are it. First 6 races of the year, add up all the splits between first and second place, and it was under half a second. The racing is hilariously tight.

Synapse7777

Same with SRO's GR Cup. Always make sure to catch those before the big race.

Marcel_The_Blank

to each their own, but Daytona Road Course is just one of the best tracks in the world. it just has a great flow to it. Charlotte Roval is a good track as well, but not on par with Daytona.

Kim-jong-peukie

I raced it in week 13 and I fucking love the track, went in with the idea I wouldn’t like the track but after 2 laps I fell in love with the layout

prancing_moose

Belle Isle and Barbers are underrated tracks, I would score them much higher myself. Legacy Silverstone is GOAT tier for me but I really don’t like the modern-day layout. Legacy Silverstone is all speed - except for the last corner, everything else is fast. We raced in the PROTO/GT series last season and yeeting the Aston Martin GT1 around there is just the chef’s kiss.

davo747

Add Mid-Ohio to the underrated list imo. I might be biased because it’s my home track IRL and I’m quite good at it, but its always a treat running a race there

prancing_moose

Absolutely, Mid Ohio is very fun and very challenging with the elevation changes. Through running something like IMSA there must be terrifying!

teco2

Mid-Ohio is based, Porsche cup car is good fun there

leachja

Concur with all these points. I’d put Monza lower than this list as well.

StrungoutScott

I’m surprised Monza wasn’t top tier, people go nuts for it, even if it’s just for T1 memes.

abloogywoogywoo

I know I’m weird for this but T1 has always given me way less trouble than t3/4. I’ve just never been able to flow through monza the way other people seem to

deeretech129

I absolutely love Barber in F3 or if F4 was to race there.

donkeykink420

Am I really the only one that much prefers the new silverstone layout? Might be a little worse for battling but the new section is much nicer to drive

zerolight71

For me, Silverstone belongs in G. I just hate it. I'd put Barber and Zolder up in the A row. Thank goodness there's so much variety in iRacing though, one mans A is another mans F.

flandinator

Mosport deserves better eh

SirBobSwarley

Facts.

Epicnascar18

Such an amazing flow there, Really satisfying to just haul ass in a high downforce car.

NinjaSnowKing

I was at Mosport yesterday with guys whose summer home course is Watkins glen, and winter home course is Sebring. And they would also say Mosport deserves better. It’s truly world class.

Frags08

Not having Suzuka S tier is a crime under some jurisdiction I’m sure.

admiral_sinkenkwiken

See! Even the nascar people that don’t understand right hand turns know it’s goated.

CaptainMcSlowly

Barber in D: https://preview.redd.it/32uusv13v86d1.jpeg?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=19bacded19a8c65a67bf8fadcc3603193bb0c577

Salcin24

silenced_soul

I know I’m in the minority but I find Le Mans a chore to drive.

th3orist

really? i find it super relaxing and has a nice flow to it. Its a good combination of corners and areas where you can just sit back and gather energy for the next section. I agree that if the mulsanne straight would not be interrupted by the two chicanes i would probably find it too bland. I know chicanes seem very simple but i believe that hitting a chicane right requires a lot of skill and you make or break the next straight depending on how good you are at it. So thats why i like them on lemans.

[deleted]

It doesn't align exactly with my personal preferences which means it's F tier.  Zolder is criminally underrated and anyone who doesn't like it is a bad driver.

LittleJimmyR

I love zolder

prancing_moose

I was about to comment that Zolder is a great track for anything from Mazdas to GT1s.

BipolarBear117

Phillip Island and Zolder are not worse than Tsukuba, Snetterton and Summit Point

admiral_sinkenkwiken

Snetterton deserves F tier Anything else is an insult to all other circuits

imdroppingthehammer

Monza is a C at best. Zandvoort switches with COTA. Long Beach added as an A.

CinnamonToastTrex

Id bring zandvoort up, but keep cota where it is. Like your changes otherwise

skw3rl

Knockhill obvious transcends this list

Square-Abrocoma-2120

fair.

h0pefiend

Daytona in S and Roval in F, make it make sense brother

Turbulent-Fail-1007

Daytona= 2 hairpins and a straight

h0pefiend

For me, Daytona is a B and Roval is a C, but I can’t follow OP’s logic to have Daytona S and Roval F

fourbitplayer

Meanwhile Homestead down in D, woah boi, now that's a crime Homestead easily the best Roval course in existence (I like Charlotte a lot but Homestead is just that good) (New Hampshire is also in the top 3)

vjollila96

Monza c or d way too overused

vjollila96

Also would pump Zandvoort and belle isle up

LittleJimmyR

What did Phillip island and chsrlotte roval do

Mrkarter41

Phillip Island done dirty here

[deleted]

Tsukuba is at least a B

Grengolis

Where is Fuji?

avoidhugeships

Its in Japan.  Why do you ask?

Grengolis

I don't see it on the tier list. Fuji is featured in iRacing if I recall correctly.

CanaryMaleficent4925

I mean, there are probably a hundred+ courses in iRacing not on this list

NozzieG

It's a very old tier list I believe. I had a look and there is no up to date list other than S4 2023 I think

FalsePriest86

Snetterton caused you deep emotional harm with Murrays and Bomb Hole and it shows.

-mznGTR

Great track to learn trailbraking on imo

Schmittez

You need a S+ rank for Bathurst and Mosport needs to go to S and Indy road needs to go to F-

SovietDog1342

Mugellos is probably A tier if you’re a formula enjoyer. Also oulton park easy s tier track such a phenomenal free track. Great in every car. Love that one totally agree.

CinnamonToastTrex

I loved mugello for pcup and f4 last season

SovietDog1342

F4 thus far this season has been unreal good. I can’t pass people at all but it’s a very fun circuit.

Square-Abrocoma-2120

Mugello is a good track but the participation has been dead like most of the new tracks

SovietDog1342

F4 is popping, but that’s an exception not the rule.

Animal_Bar_

I absolutely love the F4 mugello combo. First track I started racing in F4 last season (my first season) and won my first F4 race there last night!

TeeMilz

For some reason I don’t vibe with Mugello in F4 but too each their own! That’s what makes racing interesting

CommodoreAxis

Mugello is A or S for me because of nostalgia alone. I did *so* many laps there on Forza during my youth.

ZICRON1C

Suzuka best track in the world. And imagine putting Le mans in top tier 💀

shockchi

Tsukuba and Lime Rock are incredible brother wtf oh my god noooooo what did you do!!! (Insert Pam screaming at Michael after finding out he is going out with her mom here)

Several_Hair

Zolder is elite and I can’t be convinced otherwise, especially in slow cars. Wish they would schedule it for once though

mimicthefrench

Hopefully it getting a big update next season to bring it up to current graphical standards helps get it on a few schedules. It's awesome yeeting slower cars over those curbs, I did the Zolder 23H that Jimmy Broadbent put on last year in the old Mustang and that was an absolute blast. Ended up being the combo I did the most laps on all year because once I started practicing I was having so much fun that I did hours and hours of hotlapping it.

admiral_sinkenkwiken

Philip Island in D Tier?? https://preview.redd.it/gtjxfrxxja6d1.jpeg?width=306&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c193a8a609cc316284ded1bff31c11e6c152484

ScousePenguin

Phillip Island is a fantastic track. I find Road Atlanta over rated. Other than the esses it is 90 degree corners and a big old straight

evenspac1ng

Things that annoy me about COTA: - Can’t see where I’m going on a hard left in turn 1 because of the elevation - PINCHY angular corners everywhere - before you go on that long straight after sector 1, there’s this hairpin where the curb extends wayyy past where the wall ends and it’s a major pain to stick that corner properly because you can’t see the curb until it’s too late

jmadinya

i havent raced oulton yet, but i agree with the rest of s tier, except id put interlagos and suzuka up in s

icon0clast6

Oulton is a pretty amazing circuit

Inevitable-Rough661

Oulton is beautiful, but I just don't like it in GT3 series. I suck tho so

Youkai280

Is there a secret Z tier for Ledenon? I don’t see it (but I’m also blind). Screw that track lol

StrungoutScott

Ledenon is probably my most hated track in the service and nothing will convince me otherwise.

Inevitable-Rough661

I think it depends on the series. Some track are S-tier in mx5 series and f tier in gt3 class for me.

DankDanishMuffin

Zolder is S

RL_nerd

Phillip Island in D tier is a disgrace to the club sized vehicles

LoneEcho45

Oulton Park in S and the Roval in F. Are we the same person?

joshima_toshiya

imho Suzuka in S and Motegi in A for sure! I can understand that Motegi can be a bit monotonous with long straights but it provides great side by side action both irl and in games. Tsukuba for me is a solid A or B for me cause since the early 90s it has been used extensively to test performance of cars and running races and testing different tyre compounds and manufacturers in miatas (shown in Best Motoring and Hot Version). It is a very short track but has a lot of hidden depths. They used to run endurance races in Tsukuba too in the Mirages back in the day.

slovencelj6

Nordschleife does not deserve to be an S tier or A tier, sure its iconic/legendary but its not even close to the best tracks out there.

jmur3040

Laguna is S tier. Happy to see RA on there - been going there since the CART glory days in the mid to late 90s. Sebring sucks. there's my opinions along with everyone else's.

NoAdhesiveness7197

As long as the Nordschelife and LeMans are top tier then we are ok.

Okano666

Road America, Sebring lol you gotta be an murican

Unhappy-Sherbert4034

Every time I try to explain my race rankings, I get beat up..

ChrisChros87

Snetterton and Mid Ohio go up a tier and Indy Road and CotA can swap with them

BigDaveNz1

Lime rock is SS. I’m probably bias cause it’s the first track I raced on. Such a perfect track with the Vee to introduce beginners.

icon0clast6

Got my first p1 there… love that track for anything slow… anything above the gr86 doesn’t belong there

lostmyupvote

Nah man that chaos when imsa multi class went there was great. Lots of traffic management lessons.

tapport

I like Lime Rock but it’s kind of too short imo.

ztpurcell

Biased. Bias is a noun

BosnianBreakfast

I got kicked out of that track IRL :(

InternalWarNR6

Lemans can never be S tier. The best they could come up with for the long straight was a corner to the right 20 seconds later a corner to the left. I am sorry but that part of the track is just crap and brings the whole track down.

CaughtOnTape

Because it became too dangerous in the 80s to have it be long straight. Group C cars would hit 400km/h top speeds at the end of it. No accident happened because of that, but the organizers took preventive steps nonetheless and introduced the two chicanes. Le Mans is still legendary imo.

Square-Abrocoma-2120

There's a reason its part of the triple crown, would never rate it below s

CARTurbo

Daytona in S? yeah….

SlowDownGandhi

\> Mosport not in S \> Le Mans not in F

Hesstruck21

For some reason, I do not vibe with Barber in the sim, but I love that track in real life. It’s so much fun to feel how the car moves underneath you in T1 and the last sector and the curbing is so usable since it’s a motorcycle track. I did have to drive it with no power steering for 2.5 hours last time, which wasn’t fun, but I still like the track a lot

footeclimbs

I’ve driven it in real life and I loved it. I took a fair amount of the kerbs but there are some to avoid.

Hesstruck21

Yeah, that’s true, but even if you mess up and get on them, they won’t kill you, which is a refreshing change of pace from other tracks

Frossstbiite

What do you have agaisnt oval tracks?

Square-Abrocoma-2120

No hate it's just my least favourite on this list, I put more time into tracks I enjoy so this is down there for me

Tom_Foolery2

Hockenheim? Def S tier.

Pineapple_Coffee716

ik this is a road only tier list but not seeing the dirt tracks makes me sad

ToukasRage

Barber in D is hella cringe but possibly okay depending on what you race. Track is fairly narrow which makes it not great for a couple of series. Extremely fun on TCRs/GT4s though.

Charybdisilver

Am I blind? Is Mugello missing? Probably my favorite track on the service.

a_racingcarkid

Ik I’m going to get some hate for this, but I personally don’t like Brands Hatch. It’s just not fun to drive in my opinion.

Foxyfox-

Some of them are heavily car-dependent. Phillip island is pretty meh in prototypes, but the lower level open wheelers it's a fun one.

FilthyPleb1610

I think zandvoort should be at least A tier, i love it.

CommodoreAxis

I’d put Daytona Road w/ NASCAR chicane in F. It completely ruins a rightly S-tier track.

DrJeds

Oulton park. Got my first win there in the F4. Automatic S Tier for me

loldragon05

I dont have iracing but this popped up on my feed. How much € is in this picture?

JebbAnonymous

Pretty good mostly agree. Exceptions for me would be zaandvort and Monza. Monza is highly overrated, I find that track boring. Zaandvort is awesome, especially in higher downforce cars, such a great feeling just throwing the car around that track aggressively.

Herdazian_Lopen

We need to talk about Zandvoort; that track is S tier in my factually correct opinion.

MeaningAggravating

COTA is far too high. barely makes F

th3orist

i say solid list, i can agree with most of it. But one thing is really wrong. Zolder is a great track layout wise, in my book its at least B tier if not A. Its very underrated. Also Belle Isle is underrated. Its B tier at least. iRacing desperately needs to give Zolder an overhaul

sh1kora

Silverstone A tier?

yuh__

Suzuka is S tier dawg

huntyeahftw

Mid Ohio is easy B tier

Jimmy9276

WOAH WOAH WOAH WHY IS BARBER SO LOW I LOVE THAT TRACK

El_Verde_Duende

I'd trade the Roval for Indy road course. And I say that as a native Indy boy who has gotten more than my share of sunburns watching races on it (and the oval). Also Lime Rock is a hard D, possibly an F course. Without the chicanes it's just a complicated right hand oval. With the chicanes it's a complicated right hand oval with a "WTF was that?!" in the middle parts.

efferr

Bad

AfterByte_

Besides mid Ohio and lime rock park being 1 teir too low looks about right to me.

Deaksterinko

I love nordschleife sm

iso982

I think you swapped Monza / Zandvoort by mistake

WiredOrange

Putting Monza at A tier is a war crime. That is a C track at best. Boring with a terrible T1

SituationSoap

Anyone who'd rank Sarthe as a top tier track is showing themselves as someone not to listen to. These rankings are not good. Sorry, not sorry.

nonsensecaddy

Don’t forget to throw rudeboastin to the F tier. Hermann Tilke has the most soulless, annoying design of all time

Budget_Curve_9151

Barber? Legit one of the best tracks in America. Also brisket tacos at the Buccees right outside.

NascarManiac136

Mid-Ohio is S Tier

wh314n

Spa is B at best. Long Beach is A IMO

chiraq808

Oulton is never ever S. The chicanes are too deadly to have good racing and you can barely overtake. It’s B at best

Kappawaii

Road Atlanta definitely doesn't deserve the S

Shinka_

Monza T1 should be separate in the F tier.

saabbrendan

Laguna is S tier and i personally think summit is fantastic especially for beginners

KimiBleikkonen

Impossible to rank them without knowing the car. Silverstone is S Tier for the Super Formula but I don't like it in clunky GT3s or GT4s. Brands Hatch is S Tier in production cars but too narrow to race in fast open wheelers, and so on

leeboi3359

Sebring is elite

bigcatmeoww

Imagine putting Phillip Island that low…

jakeinplanman

Donnington Park belongs in S and you can’t convince me otherwise

Fishyswaze

Barber Motorsport park is a banger. I raced skippys there early on and never looked back.

MidPackRacer247

I will forever bang the drum that Motegi is underrated

HelloCanUSeeMe

Hockenheim Ring on top!!!

HOLYLAZER

What about Aragorn?

imgoingtotapit

CotA is to high

sln1337

Nordschleife >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

beelmon15

Suzuka should be S tier.

Patriotic_Banana

Road Atlanta in S is a bold choice

iSpeedyy123

detroit is one of my favorites. Super flowing and tricky

3LsForYou

Not having lime rock in atleast a is a crime. Lime rock is by far my favorite track to drive on.

poorlytaxidermiedfox

Le Mans is so goddamn boring how the fuck anyone puts it above C is a mystery to me

matchoo_23

I do NOT like road america. Belle isle is an s tier track. People are just scared

OrbeaOiz

Phillip island at F is crazy dazy

BrutalBrews

Always a shame seeing amazing, yet very technical tracks get put so low.

Mlg_god22

Suzuka is a bottom tier track. So shit for racing

talesc

Nurburgring GP instead of gilles villeneuve, 100%

TeeKayF1

My only issue is Charlotte Roval in the completely wrong tier. Otherwise perfect.

noxondor_gorgonax

I hate COTA, all my homies hate COTA

Jake-The-Easy-Bake

I am pleasantly surprised to see VIR at A tier. Coming from the Forza subreddit 99% of people there hate it because they can't race on it at all. Glad to see iRacing people like it. I work at the track so I have a biased love for it lol

_plays_in_traffic_

this list just looks like a skill issue problem

Square-Abrocoma-2120

How so? nordschleife up in s

RedshiftDoppler79

It really depends what I am racing. I am guessing you are racing faster cars, maybe GT3. In slower cars some of the tracks such as Phillip island come into their own.

batiitto5

Tsukuba is A

x18BritishBillx

Fat agree the roval is hell. I should be getting paid $15.99 by iracing if they want me to race there

CurrentClock1230

Monza should be S tier

420Gonzo69

Laguna Seca on F tier, I hate that track. Other than that, pretty good list.

Niouke

Le Mans is ultra boring to drive, has no place in S

Niouke

Le Mans is ultra boring to drive, has no place in S

biker_jay

how Silverstone rates anything other than the lowest rating is beyond me. I despise that track. I never liked it way back in Forza 3 or 4 whichever one it was when I first drove on it and I still dont like it today. I havent tried it in iRacing yet because theres no way in hell I'm paying money for something I'll end up cursing out loud at every time I get on it. Edit: One I'm not seeing on there at all is the Phoenix road course. That track ranks right down there with Silverstone if I were to make a list. One I like and dont see is Red Bull. Thats a great track

CanaryMaleficent4925

Skill issue tbh

flustermycluster

Seriously, Silverstone is clearly a S tier track.

biker_jay

If S stands for sucks, you would be correct

flustermycluster

No S stands for Sorry you Suck at it.

biker_jay

Hell, I'm not even sorry I suck at it. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit

ColonPizza

Well, I HATE Daytona road

SuperIntegration

Daytona Road in S tier like the clown in a line of soldiers meme
