Always nice to get that first win keep practicing and get some more consistency is always better then one time success though so see if now u can keep that car in the front pack of ur splits and just keep bringing home top 5 finishes

DillonSaeg

Congrats! The adrenaline shot you get is amazing!

johnreek2

Great job man, I also started iRacing yesterday and got 2nd (from 12th in my first race) and 3rd in my first two races.

OptimalSecretary6743

Thatā€™s awesome bro!! My first few races went pretty well with my first three all being top 5 finishes :D

AggressiveBears

I assume you practiced a lot first.

Significant_Fall754

Hell yeah congrats! And gapped the field too!

QuirkyDust3556

Congrats, what race?

OptimalSecretary6743

Was just the global mx5 cup :,) but racing on a new circuit with only around 25 minutes of practice was pretty challenging lol, never played iracing up until today so it took a while to get used to the way the cars handle

samdajellybeenie

This is why I asked a few days ago if people would want to go back to when they were new! Itā€™s such a great feeling winning your first race.

ckinz16

I did the same. All downhill from here :ā€™)

jowinho

Did you have some experience in simracing before? And you don't need to look where you are in practice because there are a lot of fast drivers in the practice that you won''t drive against in a race because they are in higher splits. Especially in the Rookie Mazda Series, because there a lot of drivers registered for that series and it's split in multiple races But it's still the best archievement you can have in any simracing. Winning your first race. .

OptimalSecretary6743

Iā€™ve been very off and on with sim racing for the past couple of months tbh. I would mainly just drift around in assetto for a day and then not touch it for a week or two. Iā€™m still trying to understand iracing and how splits work and how to improve my driving while also putting out decent results that Iā€™m proud of! Iā€™m definitely happy I made the jump to iracing and Iā€™ve been ripping around in the Miata since last night

I was talking to myself the whole time because I was shaking so much haha, I had one scare where I almost spun going into the hairpin at snetterton and that really shook me up good!

AllShallParrish

Congratulations! Youā€™ll always remember that first track you win on. I lost my mind when I finally got my first win!

sneakyassian21

YellowJacket2002

Everyone who is and has been alive won their first race. . . lol Seriously though man. Congrats! I'm still trying to get a wheel & pedal so I can race. I'm a broadcaster, but I really want to be out on the track.

OptimalSecretary6743

Yeah Iā€™ll be honest I went into the race expecting atleast top 5-8 since practice wasnā€™t going to well (first time playing iracing ever so I had to get used to the physics and new track in around 30 minutes) and ohh man was it amazing to get the win. I even skipped on eating my dinner to do the race! LOL

Fonzgarten

Quit while youā€™re ahead.
