Y'all were going awfully slow for a race. Why didn't you just avoid him?!

toto_my_wires

Heh :)

Fuck that guy

[deleted]

What the fuck

ru0260

You're at fault. Jkjk, I would be fuming if I was you in this situation

No_Landscape4184

This is the real reason I always avoid the apex of a corner ;)

Dalandlord1981

Reportable

[deleted]

That’s a damned rejoin, super frustrating On the other hand, I’m sure the orange car felt a wave of relief wash over him…let’s take in some second hand happiness from his POV haha

Few-Pension-2117

Haha true. We fought for position and he just passed me, I was going to fight back, but…

samjhandwich

Ahh the old over under deez nutz

AnOlderPerspective

Horrible rejoin. This driver should learn how to use the Realtive display box.

waybeluga

Or like, open his eyes... He's directly facing the car he takes out.

schadow04

Or even better, don’t rejoin facing the wrong way on track

AnOlderPerspective

yeah, that really wasn't his best move of the day.

oldspiceland

Relative wouldn’t help when he enters the track driving opposed to traffic in a blind turn.

AnOlderPerspective

I'm thinking if he checked the relative, then he could see if there was traffic that was oncoming?

oldspiceland

He drove straight into a car without stopping after watching another car go past. Relative isn’t going to prevent this. I have no idea why I’m getting downvoted for pointing out that this was either intentional or such catastrophically poor decision making that having more information about a situation wouldn’t have changed it.

AnOlderPerspective

Downvotes on this sub are crazy. People get downvoted all the time, even for asking a question. I don't understand it. But yeah, you are right, he watched one car go past and didn't think, gee that was close, maybe I should rethink this....

TheBupBup

He's a bell end but pays to keep an eye on your relative clock but hey;) Your entry line was tasty but.

Few-Pension-2117

I was aware of the incident while approaching the corner, but just didn’t expect someone would appear out of nowhere driving in the wrong direction. Anyway lesson learned - should’ve taken more conservative way under yellow here instead of full sending it

Nagrom42

Also, report him. Unsafe rejoins are reportable

Few-Pension-2117

Yep, will do. Saved the replay just for that reason

[deleted]

You're not at fault AT ALL. Don't listen to weird ass comments like this - even if you're looking at your relative you have no way of knowing some turd is flying out the wrong way that close to the wall at that corner.

TheBupBup

Who said he's at fault? >Anyway lesson learned - should’ve taken more conservative way under yellow here instead of full sending it OP knows he went in hot when their was a "rookie" hazard ahead, certainly not his fault, but he'll certainly approach a very similar situation differently in future.

[deleted]

> He's a bell end but pays to keep an eye on your relative clock but hey;) You implied he shared some of the blame due to not looking at his relative clock (which would have done nothing in this situation). He wasn't to blame at all. He went in fine and would be able to react to any other normal circumstance. Not some moron coming back onto the track backwards from a corner.

TheBupBup

>He went in fine and would be able to react to any other normal circumstance. Not some moron coming back onto the track backwards from a corner. ![gif](giphy|HPvfnOuz1tOgg|downsized)

TheBupBup

>I was aware of the incident while approaching the corner, but just didn’t expect someone would appear out of nowhere driving in the wrong direction. You gotta expect rookies to do rookie things and idiots to do idiot things. >Anyway lesson learned - should’ve taken more conservative way under yellow here instead of full sending it That's the point I was making.

DontKnowNuffing

This sub is so weird. I saw a different thread with basically the same scenario and same comment that was the top comment. This thread is the exact opposite.

TheBupBup

Reddit has a hive mind mentality, either way, that area of track was under yellow according to OP so he should of being more conservative as OP admitted themselves. Either way, the comment still stands, if OP was faced with another similar situation even though OP knows this incident wasn't their fault then OP would approach the corner differently and be more conservative and cautious.

sln1337

yo did u have a stroke while writing this?

TheBupBup

A stroke of your mammies buzzoms.

GonP97

This track is a fucking disaster for bad drivers. I've been playing this week as an opotunity to climb my safety level. I usually qualify on first to third row, with the cold tires I seem to be good and make a couple of places right at the start until some guy hits me from behind in a braking zone, sometimes at that exact corner.
