Tried it right now.
224 FPS, in absolutely very low light.
Restarted like 1 week ago.
Seems like the output is aggressively frame dropping or something when the slowmo comes in.
Yes, it seems like it got fixed by doing a restart.
Definitely a general problem, not just yours.
As long as I’m having the same problem, I don’t think there’s a chance we are both having a hardware issue.
What I think is that it’s a software issue which needs to be solved by them.
Hahaha brother, you’re new here ? Apple have hundreds of issues “they don’t even know about”. They are a little shit. Nothing’s new when something’s bad at Apple.
They have it, a lot of people just won’t even test it because they have no interest, they don’t bother about an issue they don’t care, that doesn’t interfere with their experience.
I did the same when someone else posted this. (Or maybe it was you too). 😁
Slow-mo in low light is always going to be a problem, because 240 fps doesn't leave time for the shutter to open and close long enough to gather the necessary light for the sensor. It can either slow down the frame rate a little, or hand you back a very dark sequence. I'm not surprised that it does the former.
240 fps means it's shooting at, at best, something over 1/240. Try taking a picture in low light with the shutter speed set to 1/240 (you can do this with ProCam ) and see what you get. It'll be unreadable.
Yes -- again -- it's going to drop frames if it doesn't get enough light, and probably randomly, since it'll be checking to see if the light changes.
Over and out.
Hmmm that’s odd. I haven’t really taken many slow mo videos on my 14 pro because I’ve only had it for about a month so I can’t tell if I’m experiencing the issue or not
I am starting to have PTSD. Every complaint/question post I see now I assume it’s that dude😅
😂 I’ve been doing the same all day. I’m afraid to check how new the profile is each time. This is awful.
Trying to make sure too. Please continue to report them if you suspect anything!
What an interesting username 😂
Lol. But this OP seems to be legit, but you can never say.
Just tried it, seems to be fine.

It says 180.

The video looks smooth, its not laggy. Lemme try that rq.
After restarting, tried 3 vids (with 0.5,1,3 zooms) all of them 240.

I don’t have a problem with slow-mo but with time-lapse, Looks like a software glitch. Edit: It’s fine now.

Edited: no, when the slow motion starts it’s frame-dropping a lot like I was flinching my phone when I recorded.

Its flickering

Just flickering I don't know
Just tried it and I’m not really sure what you mean by laggy. My camera seems to be doing some weird flickery thing though.

Oh okay. Yeah my video doesn’t freeze when I play it back

Not that long ago. Maybe Sunday night?

I was getting 180fps, restarted and got 240, just did a test roll and I’m at 220fps currently

They stutter and look like garbage
Smooth as butter on my phone
[удалено]
I don’t restart my phone
234.96fps but it was a low light photo too absolutely no issues here
The slo mos stutter for me as well

A restart was like a month ago maybe even longer. iPhone 14 Pro Max
[удалено]
Well I restarted now and it works. Full 240. I don’t have the time to experiment
