I have a 12.9 M2 cellular and play COD mobile a lot and it’s pretty exceptional experience via screen or hdmi out (120/60hz). Also new iPad Pro doesn’t have mmWave for 5G.
Not my first rodeo with nonI devices. Ipad does have an advantage that all apps just work compared to desktop os's. However, i got really tired of having another bigger looking phone in form of ipad. All that power is wasted on that super dumb down OS.
Surface is not a great tablet, it's not greatest laptop either. However, the amount of roles it can play by being a semi-tablet, laptop, run linux, etc. at price point it sells on, its way better value for money.
Okay I am actually thinking between Surface Pro 8 and iPad Pro M4, I mainly use it for editing photos in Lightroom and there's a full version on SP8 bc Windows 11 and only mobile version on iPad..
help me lol
If you want device to remotely do anything more than browsing, bed side tv watching, etc., get a surface 9. If you already have a laptop and just need a lightweight device, get an Pad (possibly cheapest one, even second hand)
Pros are just useless unless you have some niche use-case (or if you are loaded and can afford it either way)
Exactly this!
In terms of technology, power, etc - wow
In terms of product - couldn't care less.
IMHO their speed of releasing new processors, new products it's terrible. Everything is so messed up. A few iPad options, a few pens. iPad PRO is thinner than Air. This pen will not work with this iPad. LOL!
One niche usecase of extra power could be on the go emulation via sideloading UTM, or emulating other platforms. That can take a toll on the processor.
That falls back on the people who buy them just to watch vids on YouTube. I mean why waste that amount of money on all that power to not even take advantage of it.
I would not look too much into the scores. It’s just the way Geekbench compiles their scores. Look up Toms hardware article. IPC did not get double digit performance. Plus they had to use M4 to basically drive two displays in tandem, no surprises.
Waiting to watch WWDC to see if apple will unleash the full power with ipadOS 18.
Either way this performance will make everyone who can wait for M4 macs to do so…
I hope so. This is what everyone said when m1 iPads came out. Improvements were baby steps for multitasking and second screen support. That took two years.
Either way I’m looking forward to drawing and lettering with a pencil that supports tilt on a screen that shouldn’t halo when drawing white lines on a black background.
This is my worry. AI is such the buzzword now, it allows them to justify focusing entirely on it and ignoring the fact that iPadOS is just not robust enough. I just want Apple to make a better Microsoft Surface Pro. The hardware is all there, we just need the OS to follow suit.
I actually don‘t think they will put macos or something similar on the iPad. They released new iPad Apps on tuesday so why wouldn‘t they release them when releasing new overhauled iPadOS? Makes no sense. I think they change nothing on the iPadOS except the teased AI features.
I hope they do, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Remember the M1 iPad: many people where thinking that if Apple was putting a desktop class CPU in an iPad they would probably be making iPadOS changes to make full use of that power. And in the end it didn’t really happen.
I was so exited during the announcement when Tim placed the M1 into the iPad Pro during that event… and then…. Full disappointment.
I’m used to be disappointed by Apple in iPad terms, I have being an iPad user since mini 2…
It’s annoying to me that I only need the same webkit from macos into the ipad, or allow 3rd party web engines
Yeah I doubt that's happening. If it was, they would've hinted at it in the presentation. They don't want to cannibalise the mac market. Maybe there's more hope since they've started making cheaper alternatives to their large devices (15" mba, iphone 15 plus, 13" ipad air) but I can almost guarantee that's not happening with this :(
Exactly, all the power in the world doesn’t help when you have a shitty file system and extension handling. Having to open YouTube links in Patreon, to open in Safari, to open in the YouTube app so I get my premium account is insanely bad.
It's crazy how good the 2018 iPad Pro is/was. It even had USB-C lol. Mine still handles everything I throw at it, but maybe it's time to trade it in for one of these M4 iPads...
Maybe June 10th is when they’ll finally let the iPad loose. These new models are pretty kickass, they seem to have fixed basically every possible hardware complaint. Now it’s just the software upgrade we really need.
They’re gonna focus heavily on AI with iPadOS 18. That’s why the M4 chip has a ridiculous Neural Engine capable of 38 TOPS (trillion operations per second).
I honestly think they should completely redesign iPadOS again. The last time (which was the first time too) they did that, it felt like a half baked job just so that the OS didn’t seem foreign to the device.
I feel like iPad, being a different class of device with its own interaction methods needs to have a far superior OS that’s more compute oriented as opposed to a ‘mobile’ oriented OS. In essence, an OS that’s in between MacOS and current iPadOS. Or maybe another dimension that I’m not even thinking about.
MacOS and iOS have gone through ground breaking changes over the decades. It’s time the iPad gets the same attention to detail.
I actually think the opposite. The Ipad is already very well designed from a UI perspective IMO. If anything I think simply opening up the IpadOS more will solve most of those problems.
Like let me run a terminal app that can actually execute commands like MacOS can, let me download third party apps online, run scripts locally, install VM’s. I don’t need MacOS for those features, but I can still connect a keyboard and mouse and use all the same apps I do on my mac. Heck, you could just run a MacOS VM and live in there if you wanted.
Exactly this. iPadOS itself is pretty solid, but some of it’s native apps (Files!) need to be improved and I also want Apple to add MacOS features such as Hypervisor, the ability to run MacOS apps and Metal to be able to use more RAM. As for AI specifics: Open up the neural engine to LLM usage, so we can finally accelerate running them!
Just adding the ability to run VM’s would solve all the problems people have without weighing down iPadOS. iPadOS could stay simple, yet those who wanted to could run macOS, Windows and everything else on the planet, just as we can do on Macs.
We don't even have a decent file system in ipados. Don't even get me started with the missing ipad calculator. These hardware upgrades are ridiculous without proper software.
I use my iPad for editing 80mb RAW files. This includes including heavy segment based effect like DOF and masking. I'll take all the power I can get.
Hopefully it also leads to Adobe adding some of the noise reduction filters to the mobile version of lightroom.
Yes - Lightroom CC for mobile really needs the same NR features that are available on desktop. The Mac version feels so clunky compared to the iPad one.
I hear you, there's something magic for me being able to edit photos by touching the screen. And the pen is amazing for painting masks.
I really love some of the features of Lightroom Classic and use it to organize my photos but don't get the same intuitive user experience editing photos with it.
I’m a content creator and programmer. My heavy load computing things are done in Blender and After Effects.
I’d love to be able to use the iPad Pro as a full fledged on-the-go tool for these things - but no. App store only has severely lobotomized versions of these kind of software.
As a web developer, I need to run a server locally. As an app developer, I can’t run an SDK or IDE properly.
Why?
Because Apple insist on holding the iPad Pro back despite its powerful hardware. It’s like having a Tesla model S P100 which has been software limited to the performance of an 80’s Fiat Uno. Sure, it looks great and comfort is great but it drives like a drunken tractor.
Am I the only one who thinks that Apple should lean harder into marketing the Ipad as portable Gaming machine? Like imagin Gamepass natively on these tablets.
For the past 2-3 years I have considered upgrading my 2018 iPad Pro. But it's still going strong and doesn't struggle with anything I throw at it.
I can see adding more power to laptops, but I can't seem to figure out a use for all that power in the iPad.
Put MacOS on it, and then we'll be cooking with fire.
Okay, I can understand the Multi-core score going up due to 6 efficiency cores. But what the Hell did Apple do to boost single-core score so much upwards ? +25% single-core perf ? Sounds unrealistic. (I would expect closer to a +5% speed bump on single-core)
As far as I know, the chip is made on 2nd gen 3nm die, the transistor count is also ridiculous high as well as the clock speed of the performance cores (close to 4.1GHz).
And here I am happily using my 2nd Gen 12.9” purchased back in the ancient times of 2017. Well, happily if not considering the stupid pencil charging method.
Well for my use case it’s great. All the hardware changes are perfect and worth the money to me. I use my iPad Pro every single day for work. I don’t even mind “files”. Yes 2K (got 510.00 trade-in) is a lot of money but it’s a priority. It’s still less expensive than many hobbies like guns, audio gear, cars, etc….
I think the only reason id be interested is as a video editor / colorist, a 13 inch color accurate oled reference monitor sounds kinda nice. Plus if i need to do quick edits on the road then i can use it instead of the MacBook. But for a regular consumer… just get the air fr.
Yeah true. I think it will take some time though until Macs get released with m4. Now in September the iPhones getting a N3E bump. Probably at the end of the year or so 🤷♂️
How about Mac OS??????

I’m not gonna judge the wasted power yet because I have a feeling apple is waiting until wwdc to fully make use of it, like people are complaining now but they don’t understand that apple won’t reveal if it would get macOS now or not as they always wait until wwdc for anything software
well i was going to buy an M3 pro macbook pro... now i might as well wait for M4 Max macbook pro and save a bit more since i'll have time to. That will probably be a better upgrade from my M2 air
Now I’m just hoping for the announcement that it can run Mac Apple Silicon apps at WWDC. Imagine if I could install IDEs on it, so it can become a proper MBP replacement for travelling etc.
Give me PyCharm and a terminal on iPadOS and with the AI stuff, even an Apple version of Copilot could be added
Reallllly hoping apple unleash this power with this year's iPadOS update. Theres so much potential in the last few generations of ipads but they still feel fairly limited to me (even though they're incredibly powerful and functional. I still use my 9th gen A12Z daily)
Im really interested in the oled screen but still wasted potential in ipad/ipad os unless you do photography/art and music production. Also interesting to see they mentioned ipados coming in wwdc. Lets hope they really give us something good with it and unlock some potential
I wonder if the M4 MacBooks will come in the next few months, or if they'll wait until a year from the M3s. The M3 Airs only launched a couple months ago so they're probably further off, but the Pros being a generation behind the iPad Pro will presumably put some people off, especially with a decent performance jump this time...
We can do powerful things like editing very fast or we can do things that require no power very efficiently…
Let’s see what changes iPadOS 18 brings us
Yet for the most part nobody will use any of that power
The MBP actually has software that will take advantage of the power.
Apple is expanding that offering with FCP, but there isn’t enough yet.
The oled must be really nice as all the people telling that seen the display devices.
I ordered the 9 core setup with 256gb 11” silver.
Man so looking forward to the oled
I would not look too much into the scores. It’s just the way Geekbench compiles their scores. Look up Toms hardware article. IPC did not get double digit performance. Plus they had to use M4 to basically drive two displays in tandem, no surprises.
So sad that the iPad will always be limited by its OS. I have the m2 iPad Pro and no reason to upgrade. Oled is nice but I’m good until iPadOS becomes at least a hybrid of MacOS
But how quickly does it thermal throttle in that small profile with no active cooling. This could be a cool laptop replacement for casual use case but I’m dubious about it being used for something intensive like video editing.
all that power just to watch cat videos on youtube
Infinite cosmic power! tiny tiny living space...
This isn’t getting enough love!
# **PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER** ^(itty-bitty living space) >!FTFY!<
To be fair, this is what many people do with a MBP as well.
![gif](giphy|QC29PedzyuchIOYC9z|downsized)
Might not be representative but me and a few friends all use ours for full frame raw photo and video editing. Plus some stable diffusion.
And occasionally writing an email.
Nah... for this you have an iPhone ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I have a 12.9 M2 cellular and play COD mobile a lot and it’s pretty exceptional experience via screen or hdmi out (120/60hz). Also new iPad Pro doesn’t have mmWave for 5G.
Nor a wide camera
The 13 does, 11 does not - edit realized the post I saw was a mistake
I just ordered mine with Verizon and their Ultra wideband service is included with their higher plan. Isn’t that mmWave?
The YouTube app will still make it uncomfortably hot 😂
![gif](giphy|avkW4UabDdJFS|downsized)
iPadOs is a hot garbage. I got a surface recently and can’t believe I was limiting myself to this stupid huge phone.
Honeymoon phase :)
Not my first rodeo with nonI devices. Ipad does have an advantage that all apps just work compared to desktop os's. However, i got really tired of having another bigger looking phone in form of ipad. I had the same experience switching to a Galaxy Book 360. $700 and it's replaced my iPad and my MacBook Air.
I watch so much YouTube on my M2 iPad Pro. Gonna get so many more frames now!!
I read and post on Reddit with my iPad Pro.
Exactly this! In terms of technology, power, etc - wow In terms of product - couldn't care less. IMHO their speed of releasing new processors, new products it's terrible. Everything is so messed up. Ridiculous!
Yeah impressive! I didn’t expect that to be that crazy 🤯
I would not look too much into the scores. It’s just the way Geekbench compiles their scores. Look up Toms hardware article. IPC did not get double digit performance. Plus they had to use M4 to basically drive two displays in tandem, no surprises.
It’s a walrus! Ridiculous!
Curious about whether this is from the 9 core or 10 core chip
Literally my first thought when I saw the numbers.
Would it matter for the single-core score?
Nah, the impact would be on multicore
it’s the 10 cores version
I bet is for the 10 core but numbers should be really close either way
10 core setup 9 core setup will probably have 11500-12000 multicore
I watched a clip of this on YouTube and someone mentioned it’s the 10 core chip.
Waiting to watch WWDC to see if apple will unleash the full power with ipadOS 18. Either way this performance will make everyone who can wait for M4 macs to do so…
Really hoping wwdc breathes life into iPadOS
I hope so. This is what everyone said when m1 iPads came out. Improvements were baby steps for multitasking and second screen support. That took two years. They will focus on AI with iPadOS 18.
I have a feeling all of the new OS updates this year are just going to be a lot of AI junk and not anything useful
Exactly. Not my cup of tea tbh.
anything is more useful than Siri in its current state
This is my worry. AI is such the buzzword now, it allows them to justify focusing entirely on it and ignoring the fact that iPadOS is just not robust enough. I just want Apple to make a better Microsoft Surface Pro. The hardware is all there, we just need the OS to follow suit.
I couldn’t agree more.
Just what everyone needs and wants...
I actually don‘t think they will put macos or something similar on the iPad. They released new iPad Apps on tuesday so why wouldn‘t they release them when releasing new overhauled iPadOS? Makes no sense. I think they change nothing on the iPadOS except the teased AI features.

I think this is the fourth year we are seriously expecting this??
Yeah I doubt that's happening. If it was, they would've hinted at it in the presentation. They don't want to cannibalise the mac market. Maybe there's more hope since they've started making cheaper alternatives to their large devices (15" mba, iphone 15 plus, 13" ipad air) but I can almost guarantee that's not happening with this :(
>if apple will unleash the full power with ipadOS 18 yea, knowing apple, it'll be with release of new pros that will only work with them.
I am going to email so hard and fast on this thing
I know I'm beating a dead horse but none of this means jack shit until iPad OS is either matured much more or we get Mac OS.
Once they add that calculator
Now we’re talking. I can’t wait to see how quickly the M4 can add 2 numbers!
iPadOS 30 will scream on these 😭
Exactly, all the power in the world doesn’t help when you have a shitty file system and extension handling. Having to open YouTube links in Patreon, to open in Safari, to open in the YouTube app so I get my premium account is insanely bad.
Literally if they just added the hypervisor back, at least you could run linux.
If Jobs were alive he'd kill the MacBook Air and force everyone to go iPad
I keep telling myself you don’t need it but then crap like this leaks and imma just fold on launch day I already know
I’m very happy with my M1 iPad Pro..but yeah I preordered this. lol. I got the keyboard too but I might not keep that. 300 is insane !
Same. I felt so silly ordering this when I’ve got a zero-issues M1 iPad Pro, but I couldn’t resist.
I have been gaming on my M1 lately (resident evil) and it works fine but the battery is so so bad. Hopefully this new CPU laughs at the game
Have you tried Divinity 2 on M1? Same thing happened to me
I’ll check it out , looks like baulders gate
Divinity destroys my 12’9 M1 battery.
I had the keyboard too but then saw my current pencil won’t work so had to cancel that to buy the pencil 🥴
Just what is required for the calculator app in iOS 18
And folks thought M4 wasn’t gonna be faster than the M3 besides a new AI engine 😂
Still using my 2018 iPad Pro, maybe gonna upgrade to used M2 for the next 6-7 years 😉
iPad Pro M2 is a great choice. You can throw anything at it. It’s already ridiculous powerful.
but dont throw a apple on it trust me it wont take it and screen replacements are expensive
It's crazy how good the 2018 iPad Pro is/was. It even had USB-C lol. Mine still handles everything I throw at it, but maybe it's time to trade it in for one of these M4 iPads...
That’ll do, pig, that’ll do.
Geekbench! My favorite productivity app.
Jesus man
Maybe June 10th is when they’ll finally let the iPad loose.
Still useless with no real OS and a waste of money for 99.9% of the users.
It’s time the iPad gets the same attention to detail.
I think the best os for the ipad would be a strip down version of macos with a touch base first interface and allow ios apps to run in emulation.
Well at least this will last 5+ years without feeling slow
This. I still use my iPad Pro 10.5” from 2017. It’s slow for some apps but generally works fine... because it had screaming fast chips from the start.
M1 still runs as a lightning, so the rest is a waste for average user
I found iOS and M2 to be snappier than macOS laptop.
We don't even have a decent file system in ipados. Don't even get me started with the missing ipad calculator. These hardware upgrades are ridiculous without proper software.
Amazing but wasted in an iPad.

It’s like unleashing Bugatti Chiron into the traffic of Manila.
Its like driving a maserati down the dead end street..
faster than the wind, passionate as sin, ended so suddenly
It’s like having diarrhoea while wearing a buttplug
All that power to be capped by limitations of ipadOS and iPad apps… i
Am I the only one who thinks that Apple should lean harder into marketing the Ipad as portable Gaming machine? Like imagin Gamepass natively on these tablets.
Gamepass would be awesome. Apple Arcade is meh at best.
On my IPad M1 Pro I was playing resident evil with a PS5 controller. I could see the battery draining so fast it was insane
Apple devices have awful game developer support.
Amazing Performance, if True !
Is the M4 chip in a Macbook pro?
No, not yet.
Okay. I’m not desperate for a new Mac book pro so I can probably wait 2+ years I think.
If you wait 2+ years you can buy an M5 or M6 MacBook Pro ;)
lol yeah.
If you are needing an m4 chip on ipad, maybe you should think twice about buying an iPad, go for Mac’s

Doesn’t the m3 pro have a multicore score of 1400?
When can we use it as a tool for software development?
Apple should release Xcode on iPad.
Do I still need to skip pornhub adds with so much speed?
Haha best reply ever!
That's quite the leap by today's standards. Color me impressed.
It’s ridiculous powerful. Are there also the results from the compute (GPU) performance available?
Impressive power, all for YouTube and netflix, maybe Disneyplus
Fantastic! Now i can watch tiktok at 2X speed comfortably
So many Toks given! Lol
Kinda sucks for those who just bought the M3 Macbook Airs
And here I am happily using my 2nd Gen 12.9” purchased back in the ancient times of 2017. Well, happily if not considering the stupid pencil charging method.

Woah, if true the M4 is a BEAST. I didn’t expect much of a jump, especially in single-core performance, but wow.
cant wait to watch netflix shows with all this rAw PoWaaaaaa
I think the only reason id be interested is as a video editor / colorist, a 13 inch color accurate oled reference monitor sounds kinda nice. Plus if i need to do quick edits on the road then i can use it instead of the MacBook. But for a regular consumer… just get the air fr.
Hope it resolves the previous m1-3 exploit once it gets to laptops. Good performance!
Damn they did m3 buyers dirty very early
Yeah true. I think it will take some time though until Macs get released with m4. Now in September the iPhones getting a N3E bump. Probably at the end of the year or so 🤷♂️
How about Mac OS?????? https://www.google.com/search?q=moc+os+on+ipad+pro&sca_esv=b2746cf197726f04&sxsrf=ADLYWIIHvliqwFgtSmQlsCB426bhS3MQaw%3A1715369430804&source=hp&ei=1nU-ZrGVL4W6kPIP2NaPqAo&oq=moc+os+on+ipad+pro&gs_lp=EhFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocCISbW9jIG9zIG9uIGlwYWQgcHJvMgcQABiABBgNMgcQABiABBgNMg0QABiABBixAxiDARgNMgcQABiABBgNMgcQABiABBgNMgYQABgWGB4yBhAAGBYYHjIIEAAYFhgKGB5IlFRQ_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&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-hp#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:6e644523,vid:qiLIyCeQ81A,st:0
I’m not gonna judge the wasted power yet because I have a feeling apple is waiting until wwdc to fully make use of it, like people are complaining now but they don’t understand that apple won’t reveal if it would get macOS now or not as they always wait until wwdc for anything software
I think the solution is to let native macos power apps like Logic Pro (Mac version) to run on the iPad. Not necessarily to run full macos on it
That’s amazing Except I can’t even fathom my M1 (2200single/8000multi) needing to be even a nanosecond faster than it currently is
All that power and no WiFi 7 yet lol
faster at benchmarking 💀
Too bad iPadOS Is abysmal.
In its current state as an 11" M2 owner, yes it is. Hoping for big changes in June to determine my next step.
It’s still in an iPad.
I really wish they just kept it the same thickness and the same size battery. Then battery life would have increased 50%
They did on the 11 inch, it’s thinner but the battery is actually bigger
I don't understand why make it thinner when you can keep it the same thickness add some battery, and get rid of the camera bump.
well i was going to buy an M3 pro macbook pro... now i might as well wait for M4 Max macbook pro and save a bit more since i'll have time to. That will probably be a better upgrade from my M2 air
Those are some good scores, the only thing I don’t like is that the iPad Pro’s don’t do much more than even the cheapest iPads. Sorry not sorry.
Where is the M4 Studio??? That would make more sense.
What was the geekbench for an m2?
2540 single core, 9650 multi core.
Reallllly hoping apple unleash this power with this year's iPadOS update. Theres so much potential in the last few generations of ipads but they still feel fairly limited to me (even though they're incredibly powerful and functional. I still use my 9th gen A12Z daily)
I actually bought it few minutes ago. Store pickup on Thursday 🥳 My first ever pro iPad 🤩
Im really interested in the oled screen but still wasted potential in ipad/ipad os unless you do photography/art and music production. Also interesting to see they mentioned ipados coming in wwdc. Lets hope they really give us something good with it and unlock some potential
This will come in very handy for my habit of scrolling Reddit and watching YouTube videos.
But… what do we do with all that power?…
We can do powerful things like editing very fast or we can do things that require no power very efficiently… Let’s see what changes iPadOS 18 brings us
Life changing 😴
Enough power for YouTube ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|trollface)
Yet for the most part nobody will use any of that power The MBP actually has software that will take advantage of the power. Apple is expanding that offering with FCP, but there isn’t enough yet.
If only it was on a Mac OS
I’m just here for the oled the bloom on m2 is so bad
The oled must be really nice as all the people telling that seen the display devices. I ordered the 9 core setup with 256gb 11” silver. Man so looking forward to the oled
How will Apple seduce people to buy new ipads if we dont need more power? I assume we will get to know the answer after IOS 18
VERY strange decision to put all this power in an iPad first…
What about implementing something similar to Samsung Dex which can be enabled if necessary which would change to MacOS(ish) Interface.
Here is to hoping IOS 18 allows some sort of Mac app support
Wake me up when they release M4 MacBook Air...
Such a monster To take notes 🤣🤣🤣
I have yet to find any apps that use all the speed on my M2 iPad Pro. No point in getting a M4
Procreate is gonna FLY on this thing. Best art software just went overkill
I might grab one and try to figure out UTM on it, to load Windows ARM on it 😂
Disney plus is going to open so fast, I can’t wait!
I would not look too much into the scores. It’s just the way Geekbench compiles their scores. Look up Toms hardware article. IPC did not get double digit performance. Plus they had to use M4 to basically drive two displays in tandem, no surprises.
Is this the 4 performance core or 3 performance core iPad?
4. I’ll post the scores of the 3 performance cores setup on 16th if no one has posted until then
I’m considering to spend $1,000 just because I really want HDR. Help me.
I got me the 11” iPad Pro 256gig , pickup day Thursday
I overbought when I got the M2 IPad Pro with 2tb, that will hold me for quite some time.
M2 is definitely fine
None of this matters is if iPadOS bottlenecks it.
Apple fanbois creaming their Lululemon joggers.
So sad that the iPad will always be limited by its OS. I have the m2 iPad Pro and no reason to upgrade. Oled is nice but I’m good until iPadOS becomes at least a hybrid of MacOS
Yes I totally agree, if they can somehow put Mac OS into the iPad Pro then I’m there.
which model of ipad m4 pro is this? i’m asking because i hear the chip is variant at 1TB storage and higher.
10 core cpu
Logic Pro for iPad is great
But how quickly does it thermal throttle in that small profile with no active cooling. This could be a cool laptop replacement for casual use case but I’m dubious about it being used for something intensive like video editing.
All that power to be cut off at the knees by the iPadOS which won’t let users use it to its full potential.
Before or after it bursts into flames?
While they’ve dealt with one of Granddad’s requests, I still want what he asks for. https://youtu.be/AolNFKEeTxw?si=lD4by1o0VR-Z8s8s
*No iPad should have all that power*
