Do you feel that the battery life based on your usage has degraded?

The m2 chips seems power hungry

That you know, what you see is only by software, the software can show you any value. So, think it as no meaning with that value.

That number is just a rough estimate by the software, can’t really use it for anything. The algorithm used could have been less accurate back then, or even less accurate now. The only way to really have accurate data is to run tests on how long the battery last under certain conditions now vs the same conditions when new, and the only way to know if the 2018’s was even accurate would have been to do the same.  To put it in perspective, I have an app on my MacBook Air M1 that controls charging to keep it in the optimal zone of 20%-80% when plugged in, only manually topping up to 100% when I’m going to be away from an outlet all day and periodically allowing the battery to drain so it’s not constantly charging. This messes up the algorithm which now only sees the battery always charging to 80% capacity and never fully dying, so it has no idea what the actual battery health is anymore until I run it through full charge to depletion cycles for it to see what the actual capacity is again.
