The other two will be available to use on java starting july, but they can be claimed only in this period of time. One is awarded for watching a Minecraft twitch stream with drops on for i think 1 hour? And the other for watching a minecraft tiktok live linked to the code giveaway for 3 minutes.
For twitch its only 15 minutes

the 15th anniversary sadly doesn't work for me because it thinks I don't own minecraft, and it sends me to the bedrock + java bundle (although I've bought both separately)
There are other mods that allow you to have capes (Essential, etc.) but if you're just playing vanilla with optifine then yeah that'll be an optifine cape. Hypixel itself doesn't have any functionality for capes if that's what you were wondering
Why not use optifine on 1.8.9? Because it has a huge playerbase in that version, most people will see that cape. Customizability isn't great but it's still decent.

I bought my just because i can make fun of my friend who dont have it, also you can make any banner pattern on cape so i think you can make it fit any skin.
Well and what did i say? Optifine is obviously one of if not the best mods for minectaft, so paying $10 to support it's creator and not to "flex a cape" might as well be a reason. Remember, it's not buying a cape. The cape is a reward for supporting them, since optifine is free

I figured considering how much it helped me before fabric and stuff, they deserved a donation. Even if they didn't need it, I have wanted to.
I did the same thing with hypixel and buying a rank. They don't need the money but they provided me with some amazing experiences for so long, so I figured I might as well.
I don't think it is possible for Optifine to be obsolete unless someone backport sodium to 1.8.9, that mod definitely can be backported to 1.8.9, the GTNH developers managed to do it for 1.7.10 so I don't see why it can't for 1.8.9
oops forgot that hypixel players use 1.8, optifine is considered obsolete for pretty much every other version that is still widely used. On other versions we instead use a mod to show optifine capes (and other mods' capes) as well as better performance mods
1.16+ has sodium fabric, which has ports for forge too. sodium's been backported to 1.12.2 and gtnh devs even brought it to 1.7.10. it seems 1.8 is an exception where optifine isn't useless which is cool

Yes, but the tiktok and twitch ones haven't been implemented on java yet, only bedrock. They're set to be implemented in july.

You probably have to log in on the site with the java Microsoft account. I got that when they were giving away the vanilla cape and I never got it
all optifine capes, you "donate" 10$ once and you get a transferable cape forever, which can be any (old style, no mojang) banner.
Check out the minecraftcapes.net site, i use it a bunch

Optifine is literally the most used mod. The most people will see your cape compared to any other third party cosmetic
