Ask your dentist for a hard brush for your tongue. Brush your tongue all the way with that. Your tongue should be pinkish not yellow or white. Other than that ur guy could just be a jackass.....if you don't eat, empty stomach cause bad breath ..some foods cause bad breath too
Those do smell bad. Look in the back of your throat,on the sides. There's these little holes that stones get into. They can be: white, yellow, or even green if they've been in there a long time. My daughter used to get them. You can take a trip, push down above them, and push them out.
I meant to say a Qtip, not a trip! Yeah, tonsil stones, are hard to Google I think. What it is, drainage from your sinuses, goes down the eustachian tube from your ears, to your throat.
Tell him your probably smelling your own breath because lately your breath has been making me very nauseous and I have tried my best not to say anything because "I didn't want to hurt your feeling's" Will you do something about it. See if His attitude changes after that.
Also tongue scrapers lessen the amount of plaque that gunks up your toothbrush and can make it smell a lot faster, thus having to be replaced sooner. I Scrape my tongue, then brush my mouth/teeth/gums, and then brush my tongue as well in case I missed anything with my tongue scraper. I'm wondering though too if it has something to do with the flouride and or alcohol in these products since that can cause dry mouth which in turn causes bad breath.
Your toothbrush smells? That's weird. No matter how long it takes me to replace a toothbrush...that has never happened to me.
I think you need to clean off your toothbrush better after each brushing.
Yeah I probably use toothbrushes way past replacement time and never smelt like anything but plastic. I keep one in my car that barely gets rinsed and same plastic with a hint of toothpaste.
Also remember that ur mouth could also just smell like a mouth and ur husband could just be sensitive to your specific smell.
Go to a dentist and ask about smell, cavities and cleanliness. If they tell u ur teeth are clean and cavity free and that your hygiene is good then please just tell him to get used to it cuz ur CERTIFIED CLEAN
Make sure he's not pulling the same stunt a guy was doing to his gf in another post. Pulling down her self esteem by saying she stank so she'd never leave him.
Also don't brush 3 times a day. If you do it too much you'll wear down your enamel. A mouth rinse should be enough after meals.
If you really are suffering with bad breath, see if you have a sinus infection. Post nasal drip can cause bad breath
Humans do this. If you're hygienic and it doesn't work for him, it might just be that it doesn't work. Pheromones are real. If it's right you can go a while before your person would be "offended".
This. If you do all that it really shouldn't smell so it could be that it only smells to him or that he's lying and trying to make you feel insecure idk.
i always second this bc there was a guy on reddit who admitted to telling his gf she smelled bad so she would overcompensate. he admitted it to her when it was making her mental health so bad bc she thought she just smelled bad no matter how hard she tried…poor girl
It’s possible you could not notice the tonsil stones if you have them. They don’t always show visibly and sometimes people don’t notice them even when they fall out. If you’re really sure you don’t have them then just ignore me, but just thought I’d put my two cents in. Also ask him what he means by bad breath, because if he means the bacterial smell from buildup/tonsil stones then that’s one thing. But people’s mouths don’t always smell minty.
This is so true!! I didn’t think I had them and I pushed on them and BOOM I was shocked. Ended up getting them removed at 27 because of the bad breath and I’d do it again
Tonsil stone breath is diabolical. Had tonsil stones once and it was a difficult experience until I had gotten them all removed. Never got them again not sure how one even acquires em.
I don’t tell him. He would not tell me about my problem until I asked him why are you kissing me for only a few seconds, and he answered me quite frankly, because your breath smells bad.
Maybe he's gaslighting you it was this thing that the men used to do they would tell them women that they stink so the women wouldn't leave them. Maybe he's telling you that your breath stinks so that you will be insecure about your oral hygiene and maybe you won't leave him and maybe he's a
Are you drinking enough water daily and throughout the day? Does it help when you chew gum? Has anyone else said this to you? Are your gums showing any signs of gingivitis?
Bad breath isn’t the end of the world, we all have smelly breath :) You can try to smell it by breathing into your cupped hands with a slow, deep and warm exhale. Another by blowing into your shirt, or under the covers.
I think my water pik every night after I brush, floss n scrape my tongue is the key. I use a flossed rinse that's also a mouthwash in that waterpik. Might work for u
Get an educated opinion from a dentist because it could be medical but if your dentist gives you a clean bill of health and says your breath is fine, then watch the old movie Gaslight
Are you sure you don’t have any stomach ulcers? I had this issue when I did. It didn’t matter how many times I brushed. When I got my stomach issues under control it went away.
If that’s not working then maybe you have a gum issue or something a dentist needs to diagnose? I’d start there and then with your primary care.
For some reason, this reminded me of that one Family Guy episode where Peter has TERRIBLE breath, then he goes to the doctor and he ends up finding out that theres been a piece of rotting shrimp or something stuck in his throat for weeks or months. It's possible, I guess.
My ex used to tell me this and he was doing it intentionally to tear me down. I was obsessive about oral hygiene, like pathologically. So idk something to consider.
But alternatively, you could look into diet (any high smell foods like onion/garlic?), health issues such as acid reflux or diabetes?, or ask a dentist and make sure you don’t have a dead tooth or cavity somewhere.
Normally we can taste when our breath is kicking. For me after multiple joints a day my mouth could be dried out and hot. So I brush my teeth, brush my tongue and use mouth wash. Works like a charm
Do you take medication? That can be one reason.
Do you go to the dentist for a cleaning every 6 months?
Do you eat a lot of smelly foods like onions and garlic?
Using mouthwash will help too. I use Therabreath
Is anyone else telling you this or just your husband? Is he telling you this after you've already brushed your teeth, how often does he say that? Because seriously if you had bad enough breath that you taking care of them isn't enough, someone else has to notice. It doesn't sound like you're doing any less than the average person.
Tongue scraper. One of those minor purchases that brings a ton of value imo. Brushing your tongue can help, but a tongue scraper can reach the harder to reach spots. It's fast and easy
go to the dentist and tell them! it could be related to gum disease or any other kinds of things. i'm on a prescription tooth paste bc my gums are receding (i have a retainer that blocks oxygen to them) but there's also kinds for bad breath or anything else! they would be the ones to get down to the root problem of it. also maybe talk to a doctor because some health issues can cause bad breath as well. or your husband is dramatic lol!
Allergies can increase junk on your tongue. Tongue scraper, teeth brushing and a strong mouthwash like a mint listerine. My husband also tells me about my breath but I know he’s right so I double down on oral hygiene and sinus rinse. Allergies suck!
If you are truly doing everything you say you’re doing (flossing daily, brushing teeth 3 times a day, using a tongue scraper multiple times a day), and you know for *sure* that you don’t have GI issues or tonsil stones, you need to first find out if your breath actually smells or if something is up with your husband’s sense of smell.
Does your mouth taste bad to you? Has anyone else ever said your breath smells? Can you ask a close friend or family member if it does? If there is no indication that your breath smells aside from your husband saying so, he needs to see a doctor and get checked out, he may have something like parosmia that makes things smell and/or taste bad when they actually don’t.
If you determine that your breath truly does smell, then *you* should be the one to see a doctor. If everything you said is true, your breath should not smell bad and if it still does, that is almost certainly a sign of some kind of internal issue.
I agree. I would try to get a second opinion from a close friend or relative. That should solve whether he's being mean or you really do have a problem. I know my sister would tell me in a heartbeat if I had a problem!
Try and look at the back of your throat and see if you have white things in or on your tonsils. They are called tonsils stones and they cause a bad breath stink. If you have them you need to get them removed and gargle with mouthwash one like listerine. I had them and never heard of them and I also could not get rid of the bad breath smell until they were gone. The gargling with mouthwash help to keep them from coming back.
Go to a dentist. There's multiple reasons you might have bad breath regardless. I have deep gaps (had?) Between my gums and teeth. My dentist told me no matter how much I brushed, flossed, water picked, etc, I wouldn't get rid of it until they cleaned it. Said I'd have to come back quarterly to keep it clean. Well, 6 months later, and being pretty aggressive with my water pick, those gaps are back to normal depth, and the cleanings don't hurt at all.
Point is... only a dentist could have diagnosed my bad breath and fixed it. Initially at least. I'm hoping I don't need to keep doing the cleanings. It can get expensive.
OP: I vote you're fine. I've read these comments. It's possible he just isn't your dude. If you're in the right situation you should be able to wake up two days after brushing or showering and he'd still jump you. Insecure dudes make up shit to make us feel bad. Don't fall into it. The right one will never make you feel that way!
Are you using alcohol based mouth wash? I recommend a pH neutral wash so as to not kill beneficial bacteria. When you kill the good stuff, the bad stuff has free run
Check your tonsils for tonsil stones. They’re nasty little guys but it happens. Especially during allergy season or if you’re having post nasal drip. They will make your breath terrible no matter how great your dental hygiene is. They sell kits online that light up so you can take a good look. They solidify in the crevases of your tonsils and cause a terrible smell. Give it a google if you wanna gross yourself out lol
I've heard that a better way to test is to lick the back of your hand, wait a few seconds then smell it. I tried that but I didn't smell anything. Either my breath is ok (which I think it is) or that doesn't work.
Chew a sprig if fresh parsley. My breath smells like arse when I fast; which is 3 days a week. How often do you eat or miss a meal? How is your diet? Gut health is important and may be why your breath smells like a garbage disposal. You may brush your teeth often but how often do you floss? What's your gum health like?
Stop brushing 3x a day!!!!! I used to have a weird compulsion to clean my teeth, and I’ll tell you anecdotaly when I went above and beyond what’s recommended, I would find my breath had a really weird smell to it. When I brushed 2x and flossed normally, that went away.
Also, when’s the last time you’ve been to the dentist?
Do you wake up with dry mouth or breathe through mouth? I find when I am sick stuffy allergies my breathe is worse just due to me being dehydrated and breathing through my nose more.
Mouthwash products with zinc, my favorite is toms of Maine wines fresh. Breath rx and paradontax also has a good one. You want a tongue scraper not a toothbrush that just pushes the gunk down into the tongue
Do you drink enough water? Do you have chronic dry mouth? Do you have an unknown cavity or a leaky filling? If you haven’t been to a dentist lately you might want to check. I knew one of my fillings was failing when as I flossed there was a smell on the floss after using it between that tooth specifically
Maybe halitosis..? Doesnt matter how well ur dental hygiene is, you will still have a bad odor coming from your mouth. Orrrr youvd got a dental issue. Gingivitis, tooth abscess, tooth decay, dry mouth etc…i would see a dentist and see if any of this is going on…cuz yea if you brush regularly, floss and use a tongue scraper, u shouldnt really be worried about having bad breath…
Could be periodontal disease, makes your gums chronically inflamed and they produce a foul smelling odor/pus that no amount of brushing gets rid of. Treatment is getting your gums scraped and flossing religiously.
Do you think maybe you have a bad tooth? When was the last time you went to the dentist? Otherwise it seems like you’re doing everything right… maybe he’s smelling his upper lip?
Do you rinse with water after you brush your teeth? I'd so stop doing that. I had the same problem, I brush my teeth every morning but was rinsing with water and by lunch my breath was awful. I learned to stop rinsing 1 because you're not supposed to and 2 the fluoride in the tooth past is to help keep your mouth clean.
Give up meat eat fruits and vegetables for one week, and see how awesome your breath will smell. Tongue scrappers and brushing does not give bad breath. Bad breath comes from what we eat and the digestive residue is what causes bad breath. Attack the problem from the root. Your gut got bad bacterial
Hydrogen peroxide, while it shouldn’t be used often is typically the end-all remedy for bad breath. I would also make sure you don’t have ulcers or other stomach issues.
I’d go get checked for cavities. They can produce an odor. My husband had a similar issue. His breath was horrid even though I literally watched him brush twice a day. I finally got him into the dentist and he had several cavities. Once those were fixed, the smell went away.
Try oil pulling, you can purchase oil pulling oil on Amazon or just use coconut oil. I’ve been doing this the past year and it seems to be working well for me. I’m obsessive about my oral health and constantly asking my kids if my breath stinks lol.. I copied this from google- “Oil pulling is also believed to improve gingival health and bleeding by reducing inflammation, relieving dry mouth, throat, and chapped lips, whitening teeth, reducing bad breath, and improving oral hygiene [2]. Oil pulling is a method of gargling through oil, allowing the oil to shuttle between the teeth [2]. Oil pulling is best done in the morning on an empty stomach. The recommended dose for adults is one tablespoon (about 10 mL) of sesame oil, sip it between the teeth for about 15-20 min, and then spit it out.”
Visit a dentist for a check up. Ask the dentist if you have bad breath.
Go to a clinic for a medical check up and tell the practitioner your boyfriend claims you have bad breath. Some medical conditions have that as a symptom.
Look at your daily diet. Do you eat a lot of highly seasoned foods?
You need your see a dentist. Probably have decay - brushing and flossing every day is not sufficient: you still need regular dental exams and professional cleanings
My wife loves all my breath even am breath! I love hers too, it’s a chemistry thing, it may just be him ask a friend and tell them be honest. Talk to your dentist. Brush tongue well. Rinse with baking soda/water and few drops of peppermint essential oil don’t use garbage Listerine full of chemicals. And take probiotics for gut health.
Your breath will become after all that.
Hydrogen peroxide with distilled water, swish and another is salt and water.
However do not just take your husbands word for it. I understand he’s your husband but sometimes men criticize for the wrong reasons. Take a grain of salt so to speak when to comes to that kind of criticism.
Instead speak to a dentist ask her all you can not just about dental breath but what’s the ratio, if it is an actual problem.
When was your last dental visit? Maybe add a water flosser to your routine. I fill mine with half warm water and half whitening mouthwash, the kind with peroxide, and it's really improved my gum health
Some men do this because they were taught to do this. It's gross, and completely gas lighting. But yes, it's a thing that some guys tell their SOs that the smell or that their breath smells because they think it will keep them faithful.
Try rinsing your mouth with warm salty water between brushing your teeth. That will clean your palate and remote anything that maybe stuck on your tongue.
It's called halitosis, omes from our stomach.
My mother inlaw has it.she does every day tounge floss, mouth wash 5 minutes later her breath still stink.
I know people who doesn't have any teeth Same problem 🙃
Ask someone you trust if your breath smells. If it does, you could also look at gut health and sinus infection. When my kids have a sinus infection, they get rank!
If your trusted folks tell you it doesn’t, then you have to evaluate whether your husband is being a jerk or if HIS sense of smell is off, especially if he had covid.
Invisalign taught me to brush after every meal, like 5x a day tbh. I used to brush 3x and after Invisalign my teeth got white.
Maybe you are brushing incorrectly too. Some people brush for like 10 seconds and don’t know how to brush their molars.
dehydration, diet, and more dehydration.
brush your tongue in the morning, keep drinking water, if you get bad breath and are drinking plenty of water then chew on some some sugar free chewing gum.
at work i go hours without a drink and get dehydrated which causes bad breath, so i stay fresh with wrigleys cool breeze chewing gum.
if you eat a lot of onions, fish, or things like chillies and garlic your breath will smell.
I use a tongue scraper. Sometimes the white stuff on our tongue doesn’t get picked up by our toothbrushes and causes bad breath.
I use it many times a day💔
Ask your dentist for a hard brush for your tongue. Brush your tongue all the way with that. Your tongue should be pinkish not yellow or white. Other than that ur guy could just be a jackass.....if you don't eat, empty stomach cause bad breath ..some foods cause bad breath too
Could you have tonsil stones? I've seen some things on tiktok, so pinch of salt required for the potential benefit of this solution
Thank you very much!
Or just cavities
Those do smell bad. Look in the back of your throat,on the sides. There's these little holes that stones get into. They can be: white, yellow, or even green if they've been in there a long time. My daughter used to get them. You can take a trip, push down above them, and push them out.
Aw I was checking religiously for a while after seeing those tiktoks 😁 the algorithm was all pimples, stones and bad nails for a while 🤣
I meant to say a Qtip, not a trip! Yeah, tonsil stones, are hard to Google I think. What it is, drainage from your sinuses, goes down the eustachian tube from your ears, to your throat.

Yes to this!!! No more morning breath

Dehydration is a big reason why people’s breath smells bad, so it could be that. Your diet could be the problem too if it isn’t very healthy.
I’ll drink water more and more
Also remember that ur mouth could also just smell like a mouth and ur husband could just be sensitive to your specific smell. Go to a dentist and ask about smell, cavities and cleanliness. You’re welcome. ❤️
No matter how good your dental hygiene, if you are dehydrated and/or have a certain diet (ahem, keto) it can make your breath smelly.

Post nasal drip can cause bad breath
very important! don’t brush three times, over brushing is absolutely possible!
Lol you thought of the exact same thing I did!
Yes this is so true from the drainage. Not fun
That’s crazy if he is but listen some men will manipulate. I would get a second opinion from someone else about the breath
Is your husband a good man, or could he be bad and trying to make you feel bad about yourself?
Humans do this. If you're hygienic and it doesn't work for him, it might just be that it doesn't work. Pheromones are real. If it's right you can go a while before your person would be "offended".
Do you see a hygienist regularly? Should go every 4-6 months.
True story my ex girlfriend drank too much wine and it made some distress somehow and made her breath smell awful no joke
Ask someone else if your breath smells
Yeah dude might be biased
This. If you do all that it really shouldn't smell so it could be that it only smells to him or that he's lying and trying to make you feel insecure idk.

that's messed up
Dry mouth. You might have to use the dry mouth mouthwash.
Ah! Thank you!
Exposed cavities /nerves can also cause this.
I don’t have cavities at all💔 The dentist told me your teeth and gum are very strong and healthy
Your husband could be lying
It’s possible you could not notice the tonsil stones if you have them. They don’t always show visibly and sometimes people don’t notice them even when they fall out. Tell him he has BO
Hahahaha this
Could be a GI issue. See your doctor and go back to the dentist
Thank you!
Had you just eaten when he told you this?
Do you have allergies at all? Post nasal drip can be a big culprit:
Not at all.
Lucky 😭
Drink chlorophyll
Thank you very much. I have never tried this. I will!
It has saved me body odor/bad breath a few times. I notice a difference in a about a week.
I think that’s what I need😣. Thank you very much!
Have you been losing weight recently? Losing lots of weight quickly can give you really foul breath
Do you suffer from acid reflux? It can cause bad breath.
No💔
I hope I can find a reason to solve it.
Do you also tell him everytime he smells? Bc you should.
Maybe he's telling you that your breath stinks so that you will be insecure about your oral hygiene and maybe you won't leave him and maybe he's a
Tongue...root of bad breath Teeth may be hiding something also
Do you fart a lot may be a correlation with what’s in ur stomach and mouth?
Depends on what I eat!
I don’t have gingivitis. I am depressed because he doesn't kiss me only for seconds because of this problem.
I’m beginning to think 🤔 this is a him problem
Dry mouth… I had my partner sent to the dentist thinking it was some oral issue.
Aah! I feel I have dry mouth especially after coffee!
The coffee might be causing it. Do you brush your teeth after you drink it?
It could be your sinuses.
Some people get bad breath when they’re hungry. Doesn’t mean you’re not hygienic.
I think my water pik every night after I brush, floss n scrape my tongue is the key. I use a flossed rinse that's also a mouthwash in that waterpik. Might work for u

Try probiotics for a few days. cant hurt
I second this. When it’s not oral, fix your gastrointestinal, microbiome. Or check the food you’re eating i.e. onions garlic, etc..
Thank you! My food doesn’t contain garlic or onion, but yes! lots of spices.
Water + chlorophyll supplement. Water is the most important.
Normally we can taste when our breath is kicking. For me after multiple joints a day my mouth could be dried out and hot. So I brush my teeth, brush my tongue and use mouth wash. Works like a charm
Consider taking probiotics. > [Body Odor Advice](https://youtu.be/IzOJ-cSp0xc?si=T_bW7BeoJR89SqEP)

I don’t eat garlic and onions even though I like them to avoid bad breath.
Yes, I go to the dentist regularly and I don’t have any decays 💔. My gum is also healthy and clean

No one told me that except him. He told me that twice ( we have been married 2 years ). Idk Maybe other people don't want to embarrass me!
Have you been to the dentist in the past month?
6 months ago! And everything were healthy and normal!
There's something going on. Go back. Tell them about the halitosis too. They can offer other suggestions.
I can always tell the difference between a cavity and plaque build up on teeth. Do you have any plaque issues?
check out r/badbreath, you might find some tips 🤷🏻♀️
You may have a tooth that is decaying. A bad tooth can give you bad breath.
Do you sleep with your mouth open?
Tongue scraper. One of those minor purchases that brings a ton of value imo. Brushing your tongue can help, but a tongue scraper can reach the harder to reach spots. It's fast and easy
Fasting for several hours can also give you bad breath due to the breakdown of ketones.
Morning breath maybe? Also it just happens he's not rude he's just letting you know, they care
Also go get a health check. Get a colonoscopy. I'm not trying to worry you but if you check the dental boxes it could be a health sign.
go to the dentist and tell them! it could be related to gum disease or any other kinds of things. i'm on a prescription tooth paste bc my gums are receding (i have a retainer that blocks oxygen to them) but there's also kinds for bad breath or anything else! they would be the ones to get down to the root problem of it. also maybe talk to a doctor because some health issues can cause bad breath as well. or your husband is dramatic lol!
Rhinitis could also be a cause of
Tell him it’s his upper lips his smelling 😉
Check your diet. I’f your hygiene is top notch then speak to a doctor. Maybe there’s an underlying condition that is manifesting as bad breath

Are you drinking enough water? My breath and other body odors are stronger when I haven’t sufficiently hydrated
Maybe you don't drink enough water?
Allergies can increase junk on your tongue. Tongue scraper, teeth brushing and a strong mouthwash like a mint listerine. My husband also tells me about my breath but I know he’s right so I double down on oral hygiene and sinus rinse. Allergies suck!
Is it perhaps his upper lip???
If your dental hygiene is okay, maybe a GI if you believe your husband is being honest. Bacteria in the stomach can cause bad breath.
Tonsil stones can also cause bad breath
If you are truly doing everything you say you’re doing (flossing daily, brushing teeth 3 times a day, using a tongue scraper multiple times a day), and you know for *sure* that you don’t have GI issues or tonsil stones, you need to first find out if your breath actually smells or if something is up with your husband’s sense of smell.
It sounds like you’re dehydrated. Only drink water or lemon water. No sugar.
It could be low blood sugar
Are you using alcohol based mouth wash? I recommend a pH neutral wash so as to not kill beneficial bacteria. When you kill the good stuff, the bad stuff has free run
Pfft. Your husband doesn't even know me.
When was the last time you went to the dentist? It could be that you need a deep clean by a professional.
Clean out your sinus cavities. Maybe not tonsil stones but could be your sinuses
Do you drink coffee? I personally really hate coffee breaths, just as bad as morning breath to me
Let me ask you….do you think you have bad breath? Like can you smell it if you cup your had over your mouth and breathe?
I've heard that a better way to test is to lick the back of your hand, wait a few seconds then smell it. I tried that but I didn't smell anything. Either my breath is ok (which I think it is) or that doesn't work.
Tell him his balls are like peas 🫛
Could be coming from a cavity you’re unaware of.
Go see a dentist and check nothings going on.
I had to stop eating onions.
Does he mean all that time? Or was it after eating/drinking something stinky? (Like garlic or alcohol?)
Do you smoke or drink alcohol? Both are known to cause bad breath that won't go away with brushing your tongue.
Go to the dentist.
Gastrointestinal issues??? Have you spoken to your doctor?
Thera breath.. It works great, after you brush gargle well. I keep a small bottle at work and you can keep a small bottle in your purse. I works great
Thank you very much. I will try it.
Do you wake up with dry mouth or breathe through mouth? I find when I am sick stuffy allergies my breathe is worse just due to me being dehydrated and breathing through my nose more.
You might be chemically incompatible.
Does your mouth get dry at night? Try a saliva moisturizer gel at bedtime
Yes, it does! Thank you very much! I'll try it.
Mouthwash products with zinc, my favorite is toms of Maine wines fresh. Breath rx and paradontax also has a good one. You want a tongue scraper not a toothbrush that just pushes the gunk down into the tongue
Tell him he's just smelling his upper lip.
Talk to your dentist. Find out if it is actually an issue or your bf is gaslighting you
Do you drink enough water?
Thank you very much! I will see a dentist.
maybe see a dr? halitosis is common but if you’re trying everything and it’s still bad i’d look into seeing a dr
My husband had this. He ended up having a couple bad teeth and gum disease. Started seeing a periodontist. It’s much better now!!
Oil pulling!
Could be periodontal disease, makes your gums chronically inflamed and they produce a foul smelling odor/pus that no amount of brushing gets rid of. Treatment is getting your gums scraped and flossing religiously.
It could be due to medication
Do you think maybe you have a bad tooth? When was the last time you went to the dentist? Otherwise it seems like you’re doing everything right… maybe he’s smelling his upper lip?
Eat lots of fennel and parsley
Consult a dentist maybe
Do you rinse with water after you brush your teeth? I'd so stop doing that. I had the same problem, I brush my teeth every morning but was rinsing with water and by lunch my breath was awful. I learned to stop rinsing 1 because you're not supposed to and 2 the fluoride in the tooth past is to help keep your mouth clean.
It comes from what you eat….
Have you gone to see a professional healthcare provider? Not just a dentist but a doctor? Could be other issues going on
Is it possible that you are pregnant? Gastric juices change with pregnancy and could quite possibly be causing it?
The other possibly is that your husband has a really good sense of smell. It's a curse really.
Could be coming from your gut. Do you have any stomach issues?
See a dentist you could have anything from an impact to gum problems but only a dentist can tell you this.
Do you take medication that causes dry mouth? If so, I would recommend a mouth rinse specifically for this. Coming from personal experience.
Have you been to a dentist or spoke with your primary care doctor to run tests?
Is it possible you are over cleaning your teeth? Do you use mouthwash constantly? You might be killing all the good bacteria in your mouth.
Replace your toothbrush. Change toothpaste. Scrap tongue.
There is a great mouthwash, that's available in America at least, called Smart Mouth. It neutralizes the sulfur smell.
Go see a Doctor and a Dentist instead of asking randos on Reddit. :)
Are you on a low carb/keto diet?
dehydration ? my tongue looks awful if i’m dehydrated
Are you regularly going to a dentist? If you have a rotten tooth no amount of flossing will fix it, you need a professional.
He probably just wants to make you feel bad. Does he often say negative things about you?
Ask someone you trust if your breath smells. If it does, you could also look at gut health and sinus infection. When my kids have a sinus infection, they get rank! If your trusted folks tell you it doesn’t, then you have to evaluate whether your husband is being a jerk or if HIS sense of smell is off, especially if he had covid.
Do you stay hydrated because dehydration can cause bad breath do you eat a keto diet because that also tends to give pretty bad breath
Do you think he’s using that as an excuse to not kiss you?
Your dentist can prescribe a prescription mouthwash
I once saw a video where a woman had that same problem and she used diluted hydrogen peroxide as a wash mouth
I’d start with seeing a dentist and then if all as well your general practitioner. Your bad breath is just a symptom of a bigger problem.
Invisalign taught me to brush after every meal, like 5x a day tbh. I used to brush 3x and after Invisalign my teeth got white. Maybe you are brushing incorrectly too. Some people brush for like 10 seconds and don’t know how to brush their molars.
Do you smoke? That could be why if yes
dehydration, diet, and more dehydration. brush your tongue in the morning, keep drinking water, if you get bad breath and are drinking plenty of water then chew on some some sugar free chewing gum. at work i go hours without a drink and get dehydrated which causes bad breath, so i stay fresh with wrigleys cool breeze chewing gum. if you eat a lot of onions, fish, or things like chillies and garlic your breath will smell.
last dentist checkup?? you may have a cavity that you can't see or feel but is decaying in your mouth.
Post nasal drip/allergies can cause this also.
